MORE Church Planters Needed in TEXAS!
I am so thankful for the wonderful support given by Texas churches for the support of our Texas works! However, I am praying that MORE churches get burdened, along with me, that MORE Church Plants are desperately needed for this great state! I am praying that the people that God has set aside to meet this need, answer His call!
As your MBA Sec/Treas of Missions in this state, one of my goals is to help identify and support churches and individuals who are led to start new works in Texas. I am thankful at the half-way point in my first year of service, that one church has already reached out to me to express their interest in planting a new work! God is so good to hear us.
Won't you please join me in prayer that God will burden more hearts of this great need for the souls of our state? I pray that YOU will answer His call and your church will embrace the personal charge of the Great Commission!
Please share this burden with those on your Facebook friends list.
I am busy traveling across Texas and getting to as many churches as possible. Please message me and set up a time I can come and encourage your church for personal involvement in missions!

February 2024 Report:
Hello from Rockdale! What a month February has been. We started the first of the month with the flu in the Watson household, and that really took a lot out of me. I am so grateful, as always, for our little church family. Everyone stepped up and made sure the services continued on as planned. We followed the flu with my daughter testing positive for covid in the middle of the month. I am happy to announce that we are all well now, praise the Lord! It seems that we all missed at least one service this month. In spite of the illness we are happy that some of our regular visitors have made it back with us.
Our ladies are enjoying their new Hymn Study for Sunday School. Mrs. Rachel does a wonderful job teaching the ladies. We are hoping that others will want to attend as well.
We are looking forward to Easter and planning a service and time of fellowship to follow. We’re praying that we may see some visitors come out and celebrate with us!
We are also fully gearing up for revival, which starts the Sunday after Easter. We realized that we planned it as the same week as the Eclipse! There will be an influx of traffic to our area while people are trying to find lodging, etc. We realize this will be an opportunity to invite those that aren’t from this area to join us in the evenings for the services. If you are in the area, please drive in and celebrate and worship with us!
Thank you for your support and ongoing prayers.

February 2024 Report:
Visitors
We have been blessed to have had several visitors this past month. On one particular Sunday, we had four first time visitors. Riley is another soldier stationed at Ft. Bliss that has now attended our services. Pray that he will return as well as bring his wife with him when he returns. The other 3 were three generations of one family (a mother, a daughter, and a great granddaughter). The daughter has lived in El Paso for many years but has been out of church for a long time due to the problems that happened at her former church. Please pray that this family will become faithful in services with us.
Your labor is not in vain.
Another Sunday this month didn’t start out very good but ended with another blessing. It was one of those “down” Sundays with several out of town and low attendance. During the service, I was feeling a little “down” myself until a tiny hand reached over (my granddaughter’s hand) and was placed on my arm. As she looked at me with her little smile, it was like God saying, “Don’t worry! I got this!” It was about 5 minutes later the door opened and in walks a visitor. Ian stays in the hotel during the weeks that he is here visiting his wife who is working as a nurse on the border. He said that he noticed our sign and wanted to join us during our service. He told us that he plans to join our services any time that he is in town visiting his wife. God is always faithful!
There (and back again)
I was asked recently about our vehicle fund for the ministry here and in Mexico. We currently have around $3500 towards our goal of $10000. The need for this vehicle was brought home to me when after we crossed over to Mexico we had to turn around and immediately return to the US because the inspection sticker on the vehicle that we borrowed had expired. This was the shortest trip to Mexico that I have ever made, and it illustrated the great need we have for a reliable vehicle for the work both here and in Mexico. Please pray that we can raise the additional funds in the near future.

February 2024 Report:
To the American Baptist Association of Churches,
What a wonderful opportunity it is to share the work God is doing in and through His people here at Fellowship Baptist Church (FBC). Growth through our losses are proving not to be setbacks, but setups for the work we are doing in Conroe. We have seen God’s hand in both business and those stepping up to fill key positions in church. Looking forward on seeing our members continue to grow more and more confident in their labor for the Lord. It was a bit disheartening at the beginning of the month to have two of our families move on from the work here. Our heart goes out for them in the endeavors God has planned for them in the future. We have seen also two families who have been attending that seem to show great interest for the work and their own worship with us. Pray for their continued interest and desire to be connected with our hearts here at FBC. We have seen our members step up to several endeavors this past month. One of which is our Trinity River Association’s Valentine’s dinner. Our men and women handled organizing and undertaking the event with humility and honor. Our loving fellowship was seen by those in attendance and how well we worked together to host this event. I have been ministering on the subject of the “Scandalous Works” of Jesus this past month. My aim is to encourage the believers to know that you’re in good, correction, the best company when your life for Christ is deemed “Scandalous”. Boldness is best seen in times when it’s not easy to be. Pray we all can step past our comfort zone for Christ. We had our first Annual Business Meeting which was a great success. We were able to gain more of our members to volunteer to be asst. treasurer, teachers, security, and maintenance oversight. What a blessing as the Pastor to see their willingness to be part of their own churches’ success. On the actual Valentine’s Day, our church had a Valentine's dinner for our own people and friends. It was well attended with visitors to be had. There is a sweet fellowship we have here at Fellowship that is magnetic to our visitors who were in attendance with us. So glad to have each one that came for this great time together. Our youngest among us have been spending time talking about temptation and how it effects our love for God. They have been putting their temptations on fruit that is in their classroom wall as a reminder to not give into them but lean on God’s strength instead. The great kids we have at Fellowship are a result of parents and teachers who rise to responsibility for their knowledge of Jesus. On a personal note, we have placed my father-in-law into a memory care facility nearby in Conroe. We had worked with him as long as we could, but his care was becoming more than what we could provide. Please pray for my wife as this past year has been both a gift and grief. May we get to become family once again and not primary care givers of his well-being. On the horizon for this next month is that we will start it off with the first week on a much-needed vacation. This has been long overdue as I could feel the tension and struggle build up. Pray that we have a safe, successful, and bucket-filling time away from our day-to-day and embrace the serenity of non-connection. The Alvin Missionary Baptist Church has chosen Fellowship as the destination for their Spring Break missions trip. We couldn’t be more excited having them come and lend a hand with replacing ceiling tiles, painting room, cleaning out our storage container and having a church wide rummage sale. Sounds like a great turn out by their youth and adult sponsors. We love having such a hands-on sending church that loves to get involved.
Thank you for all your prayers. In God’s everlasting love, Bro. Aaron Bryan.

February 2024 Report:
The Lord blessed our February meeting greatly! We welcomed 9 newcomers, averaging 18 each week, and had a record high of 25! Since the Fall Semester, 57 people have attended at least one meeting! We now have on roll 64 students! The students are enjoying the meetings and are inviting others to come! This is all the Lord’s doing, for which we praise Him unceasingly!
A typical weekly meeting includes: Dinner, Bible study, Prayer, and Games. I am providing meals with local restaurant take out. So far, they have enjoyed my selections. Planning food each week for 15-20 young people is a challenge. Student participation in Bible study is very good! Many probing questions and remarkable insights are addressed and brought forth for deeper discussion. You would be surprised to hear these young people discuss spiritual things. I am blessed to share this special time with them! Prayer requests are heart-warming and alarming. It is good to hear their concerns for others, but it is sad to learn of the various attacks of the devil many of them are enduring.
A Spring Retreat for the group is coming together. It looks like we will meet during the week of April 5-6. So far, we have 13 members that are committed to attending. We will be going to White River Lake, a camp that’s located only 45 miles away. Pray the Lord will bless this special time!
Thank you so much for your continued faithful and generous help!

February 2024 Report:
My sons are big fans of NASCAR, and there are races playing on the TV almost every weekend in our house. I usually don’t s ck close to the TV to take in every lap of these lengthy events, but will come take a look if I hear that something exciting is going on. Even though I miss most of the race, I’m almost always glued to the TV for the final few laps and the finish. Once the race is finished, they will show highlights from the race. These highlights include wrecks, close calls, mishaps on pit stops, passes for the lead, etc. Every moment of any sporting event is significant to the final outcome, but the highlight reel briefly shows us those “game-changing” moments that were crucial to that outcome. In a similar manner, mission work is full of moments that ma er. Sharing all of these moments every month would require a report that is several pages long, so I’m glad to bring you the “highlight reel” of how God is working. If you’re interested in more of the “play-by-play”, feel free to give me a call, or we can schedule a visit to your church to share with your whole congregation. · In February, I began serving at a second pregnancy center. Her Heart in Manvel has been in opera on for 1 year, and I appreciate them for welcoming me to be a part of their volunteer staff. Opportunities here include star ng a men’s ministry, teaching personal evangelism to the existing staff, and making new contacts in the northern area of the 288 corridor. · I made two new contacts this month with men in our community who are dads, and their families are not in church. Please pray that God would develop these relationships so that Amy and I have the opportunity for discipleship with them. We regularly have conversations with people who are coming from a history of being hurt by someone in church. Please pray that they will understand that people have betrayed them, but God never has and never will. · God continues to work in Coastal Way Baptist Church. I am thankful for the members, their personal walks with Jesus, and their heart for the Gospel.
In Christ, Pastor Greg Devine.
