The summer is almost passed! It is hard to believe. By the time you receive this report the Local Association Meetings will be in full swing. We will attend as many of them as possible. We really do enjoy the Association meetings and wish it was possible to attend every one but some of them meet on the same day. Also, we have two family reunions to attend in October. We will enjoy the ones we are privileged to attend and the Associational Representatives will do the rest.
September 15th is the deadline for receiving applications for financial assistance from sponsoring churches for the missionaries they are sending out. So far we have heard from only two and we know of three who are not requesting again this year. Pray, really pray, that more churches will be motivated to send a missionary to plant a New Testament Church in our state. There are many thousands of people who do not have access to a true, Bible teaching church. We should be very concerned about this situation.
“Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he will
send forth laborers into his harvest.”

As the heat of the southeast Texas summer continued, the Emmanual MBM continued to try to allow the fire of the Holy Spirit to motivate us as we reach this lost community. Please allow me to share with you a very unusual occurrence. On July 12th we had finished our evening service and were preparing to leave when a young man opened the door to the church and asked if we were having services. We never told him that we were already finished. We just told him yes and we started over. He has been out of church for a number of years and says that he wants to get his young family into a scriptural church. Please pray for Faren and his family with us.
We are continuing with our regular outreach activities and are planning a special outreach on Saturday, September 8th at 10:00 a.m. to canvas another neighborhood. We continue to see interest in the Lord when we speak to people. We are just not seeing the commitment that the Lord expects.
We, along with our sponsoring church, are searching for a co-sponsor
to step us beside them in the work here. Support in August included
$200.00 from Hopewell MBM in Texas City and $728.00 from Twinland
MBC in Houston. Please continue to pray for us as we labor in
this “white unto harvest.”

The highlight of last summer was Kidz Kamp at Pine Springs. Because of low funds we could not attend this summer, so we have already started a fund for next summer. The kids are excited and have a “mind to work.”
We are having more first time guests. One of our members has
returned from the military and is excited about working for the
Lord. This has been an encouragement. We have one waiting for
baptism Also, the Romanian ministry is going well. What a humble
group of people! Praise God for His faithfulness. Please remember
us in prayer.

Romans 1:16 - “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”
Greetings! We are so thankful to our Lord for the awesome things He continues to do through the Mission. We added nine new members to the work with two baptisms scheduled for next month. We aren’t back to our pre-summer attendance but we are beginning to see our Sunday morning attendance increase again.
Our sponsoring church, Baker Drive Baptist Church of Dickinson, and the Hopewell Mission are working together to organize the Mission on Saturday, November 3, 2007. We are excited and hope that all who have supported this work can be in attendance. I thank God for the vision of Bro. Joe Bozarth and Baker Drive to plant a New Testament Church in the Texas City/LaMarque area. Please come out to share in this historical occasion. God is so faithful!
Thanks to those who contribute regularly, as well as those who
give one-time donations. Please continue to partner with us prayerfully
and financially. The Lord provides! I am grateful to Texas Mission
Development, the MBA of Texas, Mission Bend BC of Houston, Calvary
MBC of Baytown, Florida Avenue BC of Beaumont and Baker Drive
BC of Dickinson. Without you, and others like you, without the
monetary gifts and prayers for our Mission, we could not do what
we do for Christ.

The month of August has been a busy month for Vanderbilt. We still had some on vacation but our attendance was fair. I am happy to see school start again.
Our one day Vacation Bible School was a wonderful experience. We had 38 young people who attended and the fellowship was excellent. It was a lot of work but it was very rewarding.
Two of our church members went to Panama on a mission trip this month. They had a very good trip and gave a good report to the church. It was very educational and rewarding to all of us to see the slide presentation and hear about souls being saved in that part of the world.
We are having some good prospects visit our church and we are
praying and expecting some additions in the very near future.
Thank you for your prayers and support. You are welcome to come
and visit with us when you are in the Tyler area.

August was an awesome month for the work in Grapevine. We completed a community outreach by providing meals to children at a local less fortunate apartment complex. We had our second Vacation Bible School. We had over 50 children who attended. VBS was a complete success.
Please keep the work in Grapevine in your prayers. We are attempting to find a more permanent location in order to establish ourselves in the community. We are entering negotiations with a property owner now. This will be a lease property and will give us 24/7 access.
Attendance was low due to vacations. We anticipate the numbers beginning to increase as the children return to school. We have had one person come forward for baptism. The baptism is scheduled for September 16th. Please pray for Lisa.
Please call me at 817-430-8606 if you would like for me to come share the work with your church.
appreciated.

Greetings from Gainesville. August is called the dog days of summer for a good reason. It has been hot! God continues to bless here. We added another new family member last Sunday and plan to baptize her right away. We praise God for this special lady. Our attendance has been down a little due to sickness. We ask you to remember Sister Linda Bryant and her family in your prayers. She has gone through brain surgery a couple of weeks ago.
Our building program is picking up speed. The slab has been poured.
Our contractor says he should be ready to start putting up the
steel structure by early September. We cannot thank
enough all those who have helped us with prayers and financially.
We ask for continued prayers as we continue to reach Gainesville
for God’s glory.
