The fiscal year for 2007-2008 is now history. It has been a good year in many ways. The Missionaries have had a good amount of success in their respective fields. The finances remain at a good level. As I see it, there is one major problem. WE NEED MORE MISSIONARIES! God has been so generous in supplying the needed funds to support the Missionaries. God is always generous with His children. God always has a plan for what He wants His children to do for Him. Please pray diligently for our MBA work. Pray for more Missionaries. Pray for more sending churches. Pray that God will reveal to us what He has planned for the work of the churches in the MBA. We sometimes get anxious when we cannot see what He has planned but He will reveal it to us in His time.

We are receiving requests for support in the 2008-2009 fiscal year. The deadline for requests is September 15th. In October this space will have the names of those who are asking for support and the names of the sending churches.

Remember the pre-associational meeting which will be held on Tuesday, October 7th at 10:00 a.m. The meeting will be held in Hillsboro with Walnut Street MBC. If you need more information, please get in touch with me.

Total Church Offering $2,905.21 Gave To Missions $350.00

Our Monday evening Bible Study group is growing. We are enjoying a study in the Book of Revelation, as well as getting to know each other on a personal level, outside the church building.

Bro. Larry and Jen Jacobs visited with us some time ago and told us about response cards. We are using these and it is a great way to get to know guests, as well as the members. Each Sunday we pass these out and people put any information on them that they want the Pastor to know. We have had good results. We are knocking doors twice each month and are excited about the new “GROW” program. Every member can be actively involved by visiting, making phone calls and writing letters.

If you want to know more about Northgate MBC, check our new webpage. Just go to northgatecares.org and it will keep everyone informed about what is new. Thank you for praying for us.

It is good to see summer over and school starting. We had several families out due to sickness, some out on vacation and it hurt our church attendance. However, we did baptize two during August. We praise the Lord for these two young people.

Labor Day weekend was hard on our attendance. We knew several families would be out visiting with their people. We are having prospects attend and this encourages us in the Lord’s work. We are looking for more additions in the near future. Thank you for your prayers and support.

Greetings Dear Friends. We at Meadowbrook are still working in the neighborhoods telling folks about this wonderful relationship we have with our dear Savior. Some folks look at you like you have lost your mind while others welcome the chance to hear about what Jesus can and will do.

Please continue to pray for this wonderful work for I truly believe that our Lord has never started a work that He didn’t finish. May God bless each and every one of you who have a part in each soul saved.

Total Church Offering $7,895.00 Gave To Missions $755.00 Paid For Rent $750.00

The month of August was a good month for our work in Grapevine. God is blessing the efforts to reach the Community for Christ in an amazing way. I look forward to sharing the progress of this work with your church. Please call me at 817-343-5900 to schedule an appointment for me to visit.

In August we had a VBS with a total attendance of 48. These were wonderful days as we shared the gospel with many young people. We also made many great contacts with the parents. Please continue to pray for us as we seek God’s will for this work.

We are continuing to seek rental or purchase property for our next move. Please lift us up in your prayers. We are in a space that requires a lot of juggling on Sunday mornings.
However, we do consider our current location a blessing! We are confident that the Lord will provide space for growth soon. We are patiently waiting for His direction.

We have three participating in the Medical Missions Trip to Africa. When they return,
we look forward to hearing about the wonderful way God blessed this effort.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or if you would like for me to share the work with your church.

Sunday School 12 Morning Worship 12 Evening Worship 13
Total Church Offering $428.00 Gave To Missions $50.00

In August our work has done the following: Regular activities in Alto and Price. Also, we have been knocking doors and sharing tracts and inviting people to visit our Mission.
The first week of August we had VBS together with Gum Springs MBC. This is the church where we have our Sunday evening services. This VBS was a blessing for them and for us. It was a special blessing for Gum Springs because they had not had a VBS in about 20 years. It was a blessing for us because it was our first VBS there. We had American and Hispanic children learning about Jesus together.

We are planning to have a revival. This will be the last week in September. We will have three days in Alto and two days in Price. The preacher will be Bro. Hunberto Aguirre, Missionary in Monterrey, Mexico. Also, in September, Landmark MBC in Mt. Enterprise will be starting the English lessons ministry and I will be there helping them and sharing God’s Word. Please pray for our efforts to win the lost people to Christ.

He is excited about the Hispanic work in East Texas. He helps me with the work in Tatum and Center. The highest attendance during August in Tatum was 12.

The Iglesia Bautista Emmanuel will be celebrating the first anniversary on Saturday, October 27th. Missionary Bro. Abel Oviedo from Mission, TX will be the guest speaker. It will be a bilingual message. God is good. Only God can make it possible to have this anniversary. Praise the Lord!
