As I write this report it is December 31, 2009. A new year is about to begin. God blessed the MBA of Texas this year. It is my prayer that He will continue to bless in the new year. I believe He will. I want to encourage you to continue to support the effort of all the men who are serving as Missionaries in 2010. We will be supporting more this year than in the past. We have some good men working to preach the Gospel to all who will hear. We have some good sending churches that are making sacrifices to keep the men on their field of labor. Let us, as God’s churches and individuals, not let them down in their work. Let’s support them both prayerfully and financially. As you can see from the above report, we paid out about $5,300.00 more than we received. Please keep this in mind as you support state missions in 2010.

The Lord added two to our membership this month. Tammy has been out of church for years. We are glad to see her faithfulness now. Josiah has been here for five months. He was saved in Africa in a gospel meeting and enjoys singing in Swahili. Four members confessed their sins to the church and the fellowship is better than ever. Sin can feel so heavy on our hearts, but God forgives and makes us feel like new.
Our new teen class will start in January. We are still praying for the Spanish-speaking people all around us. Come for a visit when you can. Thank you for your support of this work.

TEXAS MISSION DEVELOPMENT
I continue to enjoy promoting the Texas Mission Development Program. My activities in December included a First Quarter 2010 Project Ballot result mail-out. Cedar Creek MBC of Corsicana had the majority vote. My appointments promoting TMD were attending the Dr. A.J. Kirkland Memorial Lecture Day at Texas Baptist Institute. I attended the morning and evening services at Heartland MBC of Longview, attended Eastside MBC in Jacksonville for a Christmas Cantata. I attended Rocky Springs MBC Christmas Service and preached morning and evening services at Second Avenue MBC of Corsicana.
Dorothy and I had an enjoyable and healthy Christmas and also celebrated her 72nd birthday.

BEREAN PRISON MINISTRY
December was another good month for us at the Berean Bible Study Jail and Prison Ministry as we had ten (10) precious souls saved. Last year we had a little over 200 saved and we set our goal for 2009 to have 300 or more saved. Well, we beat our goal for 2009 as we had 322 saved this year giving us a total of 1,996 since this work began. We sent out 416 packages and 416 Christmas cards with the packages. We are now reaching 1,994 prisons across America and lead the nation in our ABA work with the Missionary Baptist Association of Texas being number one in this type of ministry and mission work. Thanks be to God for each one of you who support this work in any way. God shall reward you accordingly. We hope to have another 300 or more souls saved in the new year of 2010.
Special thanks goes out to Bro. Swell for saving his prison mail for me and thanks to Cleveland MBC, Don and Donna Stockton, and Harold and Joyce Turner for giving us much literature for the inmates. They love the great literature that we have in the ABA work. Please pray for this work and if you or your church has used literature, please send it to us and we will get it into the hands of someone who is desperately seeking the truth. Please pray for this work as Satan hates it and attacks it on every front.

God is truly blessing A New Beginning BC. The month of December was filled with many blessings, primarily with the privilege of studying His Word and learning about His Son. We thank Him for a young lady who gave her life to Jesus. We appreciate your prayers and financial support. May God continue to bless each of you as we look forward to the end of this year and the beginning of a new year, if it is His will.

We have a GOOD problem. Our adult Sunday School room and sanctuary are getting crowded. Praise the Lord! We also welcomed two new members, M.J. and Peggy Barber. We are seeking the Lord’s guidance in a search for new property.
In December we began placing our old Sunday School materials (with church information in them) in doctor’s offices and jails in Kerrville. Our ladies presented a single mother with Christmas presents and Bibles for her daughters. The Gospel was shared with her and we ask for your prayers for her as the Lord continues to deal with her heart. I have begun a series on “Dangers Of Unread Bibles” on Sunday nights and our Wednesday night study of the church covenant is still on-going. Please pray for us as we daily try to plant the seed in Kerrville. May God bless each of you.
