February was a busy month for your Secretary-Treasurer. We were
able to visit with several churches. In January and February we
have visited fifteen churches. On February 24th we were
privileged to participate in a three-Association Mission Rally
for State Missions. This meeting
was planned and hosted by Pastor Leland Acker and Denson Springs
MBC. It was a very good
meeting. Three of our State Missionaries, Marvin Gardner, Kevin
Bolding, and Todd Gray, were in attendance at the meeting. There
were several others present who reported on their individual
ministry. Denson Springs MBC is a small rural church. A lot of
planning and effort went into
putting this meeting together to emphasize State Missions. I appreciate
very much what Pastor Leland Acker and Denson Springs did. I would
encourage other pastors and churches to follow suit. We need to
keep our churches reminded of the importance of our State Mission
program.
The fourth Texas Missions Conference will be held on Tuesday, April 24th. The emphasis this year will be Leadership and Church Growth. Bro. Dubs Byers of Arkansas and Bro. Larry Fincher of Louisiana will be the featured speakers. The Mattingly Family will be present to sing for the Conference. It will be held in the facilities of New Liberty Baptist Church in the Turner Activities Building, located at 333 West Centerville Road in Garland. The Conference begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:15 p.m. Please plan to attend the Conference. As always, “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that He will send forth laborers into His harvest.”

I am excited to share with everyone the things that have happened
in February. We were finally able to get back “on the streets”
to do more house to house visitation. I have also been able to
meet and talk to numerous people in one of the local malls here.
During one of my visits to the mall I was able to share the gospel
with two ladies who then accepted Christ. It is my prayer that
they will be attending our services in the near future. I am excited
to report that we have been able to borrow the funds that are
needed to finally get our permanent sign on our building. We signed
the contract on the 23rd for $4,350.00. We have $1,800.00 that
has already been donated toward the sign. We will be paying back
the rest on a monthly basis. We pray that offerings continue to
come in for this so that we can retire this debt quickly.
We were excited to have Bro. and Sis. Reed in our evening service
on February 18th. This is the first time they had been able to
be in one of our services. They were a great blessing to us. On
Feb. 23rd I was able to preach as part of a Bible Conference at
Magnolia MBC in Magnolia. On Feb. 24th I traveled to Denson Springs
MBC of Grapeland for a Texas State Missions Rally. Both of these
were a great blessing to me.
March will start off just as busy as February ended. I will be
with Landmark MBC of Farmington, NM on March 3rd & 4th to
share with them what is happening in Sugar Land. They have been
a great supporter of this work. I am honored that they wish to
hear about it in person. I continue
to work with Reach America and am learning more weekly from the
Church Planter’s Tool Kit.
Busy, yes! Isn’t it great to be able to be busy working
for our God. Please keep praying for us as we continue to search
for a cosponsoring church to stand beside Twinland MBC in sponsoring
this work. Thank you to all who support state missions. Anyone
who would like to hear more about this work, please contact me
at 832-486-9330 or 713-492-4837. Please send all support to Twinland
MBC of Houston.

Hopewell Mission was truly blessed financially during February
but our attendance was down Since our inception this is by far
our best financial month ever. All praises to God for what He
has done, what He is doing and what He will do through our efforts.
There were none to come for salvation but we had one to join by
statement. There are a number of guests who are currently visiting
with us and praying for our Lord’s guidance and direction.
Let’s pray with them that the Lord’s will be done.
Thank you to all who came to share with us in our building dedication service. Thanks, as well, to those who participated in the program that afternoon. It would not have been a success without your presence. If you could not be here you missed a great afternoon of celebrating what God has done. Bro. and Sis. Reed were here to share with us and there were plenty of pictures taken of the event. Be on the lookout for pictures of the event.
The first phase of our parking expansion and outdoor youth activity project is now completed. We had over 8,000 sq. ft. of concrete poured costing $21,000.00. We have about 30 new parking spaces (it hasn’t been striped yet) and we now have a half-court basketball area, a 20x30 pavilion area and plenty of new sidewalk. These new additions will go a long way in accommodating our growing youth ministry as well as our current parking crisis. Our most immediate need is a fellowship hall. Please partner with us in prayer as we believe God will begin to open financial doors that will bring this vision to fruition.
Thanks to those who contribute regularly, as well as those who
give one-time donations. Please continue to partner with us prayerfully
and financially. The Lord provides! I am grateful to our Texas
Mission Development, the MBA of Texas, Mission Bend BC of Houston,
Calvary MBC of Baytown, Florida Avenue BC of Beaumont and Baker
Drive BC of Dickinson. Without you, and others like you, without
the monetary gifts and prayers for our Mission, we could not do
what we do for Christ.
God is continually adding to our number. We have recently had
a man and a teenager come forward to request baptism and church
membership. We are growing not only numerically but spiritually
as well. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement.

The Lord is continuing to bless our efforts in South Tyler. A lady came for baptism this month and we baptized her and three of those who were saved in January. Everyone is excited about the additions and we expect our attendance to increase in the next few weeks. We have had some sickness among our membership but hopefully these will soon be back in church.
The Tri-County Mission Rally met with us on February 17th. Bro. Roy Culley was the featured speaker and Bro. Jeremiah Carson gave a report on his work in Peru. Everyone enjoyed the reports, the message and the fellowship after the service.
Denson Springs MBC sponsored a Mission Rally for State Missions
on February 24th. Bro. Marion Reed and three of the State Missionaries
spoke on behalf of their work. Bro. Reed preached a good message.
An offering was received for the missionaries. This was appreciated.
Please continue to pray for the work in Tyler and come visit with
us any time.

Greetings from Meadowbrook. We want to thank all who pray and support this wonderful work. February has been a busy month. We continue to see new faces. God is doing a great work here. Our Youth Outreach program is a great success. We are reaching young people where they live and teaching them how to be witnesses for Jesus. Please pray for this ministry. It is so important that we teach our youth.
We are looking forward to see what God has for us in this new
year. Again, I say thank you and may God bless all who have a
part in this wonderful work.

The month of February has been a tremendous blessing. We are continually overwhelmed at how the work grows. We are praying together for the Lord’s guidance. We had a family return to Florida. This was a very difficult time but they left for employment reasons. Please pray for Chris, Liz, and Will as they settle in the Tampa area.
We had two accept Christ as Savior this month. We are excited how the Lord is working. We have planned the baptism service for March 4th. At this time we have four candidates waiting to be baptized.
We are continuing to search for property. We are considering
a lease instead of property purchase. The building we are looking
at is still being reviewed by the owner. He is considering
using an investment firm to sell the property for top dollar.
I will be taking a vacation in March with my family. Bro. Mike
Prince will be providing the message in my absence. Thank you
so much for all your support of Bro. Prince and the team
at Reach America.
We are planning a family mission trip this summer. We would like to take our children into Mexico as young missionaries. If you know of an opportunity, please contact me. We have four families with children that would like to go to the mission field together.
If you would like us to share the work with your church, please
call at 817-343-5900.

February may be the shortest month of the year but it has proven
to be the busiest month yet. What a wonderful God we serve! Our
attendance for February was good considering that we
were hit with a lot of sickness. The flu has been going around
non stop here. I was not exempt from it either. I have been down
with the flu for a week now but I am getting stronger and better.
Our Children’s Church continues to grow and be a blessing to our church. We are averaging 10 in the Children’s Church.
The work on the building project continues. Currently we are getting ready to go to the city with all the plans and paper work to begin the approval process to build. As soon as we get the plans back from Bro. Reed then our civil engineer can do his work and the final approvals can be done with the contractor and city. Currently our building fund has grown to $44,000.00. We need $75,000.00 to begin construction this summer. We are only $31,000.00 short now. We know our God can supply the funds for us to begin in May.
We are making plans for our homecoming Service on April 1st with
revival to follow on April 2nd-4th. Our groundbreaking service
has been scheduled for the afternoon of April 1st at 2:30 p.m.
We invite you all to be a part of this exciting time here in Gainesville.
We pray God will receive the honor and glory. We need your prayers
and support as we go further in this project. May God bless all
of you.
