I want to thank you so much for your support of the MBA of Texas
in the year of 2008. Your faithfulness to pray for the Missionaries
and assist financially is a great blessing from our God. I want
to encourage you to continue the support for our Missionaries.
We have ten Missionaries this year. That is something to be very
thankful for. Nine of the Missionaries will receive monthly support
from the MBA thru their sponsoring churches and the tenth one
is on designated funds. Let us not forget to support Heritage
MBC in Center. Please send your designated offerings for this
worthy project.
We have increased our support payout by more than $7,500.00 each month. Last year there were six Missionaries and the payout was low. It is with thankfulness that we will send ten churches support this year. We do have a good balance in our bank account and I am not concerned about that. I just want to encourage you to continue your generous support for the MBA of TX and these men who are spreading the Gospel in our state.
The MBA Posters have been mailed to all the churches. If you
did not receive one or if you want another, please let me know.
The Posters look really good this year. Please post one so that
each church member can see them and pray for the Missionaries.

The Lord added four more to Life Touch this month. Our holiday meal was enjoyed by all! We had a total of 42 (13 guests were present). Our Monday evening Bible study is bringing us all closer as we continue to study Revelation. A Catholic lady is coming and she opened her home to us one meeting. God is so good!
One of the best tools we are using is the response cards. Every week these cards are filled out by members as well as guests. All information is confidential and helps me know how to help my people.
In January our ladies are beginning a study on “Captivating; Unveiling The Mystery Of A Woman’s Soul.” This will be a journey into the heart of God. Our ladies are very excited about this new Bible study. Our monthly GROW program has been a great outreach. We have never had so many involved.
We are excited about what 2009 will bring. God is faithful!

December and January were very busy months for us. There were
several special services in December. We were blessed with several
visitors and we are confident that God will bless with some additions
very soon. More people are showing an interest in our work in
Tyler. The lady who was saved and baptized is proving to be a
blessing to our church.
Vanderbilt will host the Grace Youth Fellowship during January
2009. We are expecting to have a good youth meeting. Thank you
for your prayers for our church.

Greetings dear friends. We at Meadowbrook hope everyone had a
wonderful Christmas and a good start on the new year. We were
blessed with the addition of three wonderful people and we are
praying that the fruit of our labor will produce great results
in 2009. We are still reaching out into the Community and we are
encouraged by what we are seeing. Please remember us in your prayers
as we go forward in this new year. We at Meadowbrook love and
appreciate all who have helped by praying for this ministry. God
bless and keep you in this year to come.

Greetings to all. I hope all of you had good holidays this season. We don’t have relatives here but we invited brethren to share our Christmas eve supper. We used this time, when people think of holidays and gifts, to teach them the real significance of Christmas and the true gift, Christ Jesus, Who came from heaven to give eternal life.
Pray for the Mission work in Alto and Price. Our visa to stay
here will expire very soon and we can’t continue working
here unless God will open the doors for us to do the Mission work.

CENTER – We finished the year with a special service in
Center. We had a good fellowship in remembrance of our Lord Jesus
Christ. We received a report from Bro. Lorenzo who is in Puebla,
Mexico. He sends the report that he is teaching God’s Word
to two families. The church voted to send him ministerial supplies
such as Bible, tracts, and other literature. Also, the church
voted to start sending support to him for his needs. Please pray
for lost people of Puebla and that our Lord can use Bro. Lorenzo
in a great way.
TATUM – Bethel MBC already voted to buy the materials to
fix the floor of the building in Tatum. We will begin the work
next month. I hope we can start having services in February.
LONGVIEW – We gave gifts to new kids who come to our services.
The total was nine and eight adults. We received $325.00 in offerings
the past two months. We are excited to work in this area next
year. We had five professions of faith in January. Unity MBC in
Longview is planning to help with facilities when we grow to need
more. Now we need ministerial materials such as Bibles, tracts,
etc. We know this community is full of Hispanic people but we
know that only God can change their minds and hearts. Please pray
for the people.
HONDURAS - I received a call from Mexico that my father had passed away and I decided to go to Mexico for his funeral before going on to Honduras. I was privileged to preach for my Father’s funeral. Several people made professions of faith and they want me to return to preach to them some more in the future. We did go on to Honduras and God gave me the privilege to preach at the first ABA Mission established in 1998 in that state. Please pray for this people because they want to organize a church and they want me to come and preach for them again. This would be a special blessing.

Total Church Offering for December and January - $1,604.47
I’d like to thank the messengers of the missionary Baptist Association for approving me for half salary. It is truly a blessing to have our State Association behind us in this work in Brownwood, TX.
December was a good month for Grace Pointe as the mission began to take shape. We have another family that has partnered with us in this work. They will specialize in Children’s Ministry. I am teaching the people who congregate with us about what a church is so things such as missions giving will come along as the Mission begins to understand what we’re doing. One current project is getting our youth Bible Clubs launched on Tuesday evenings. We have sufficient volunteers to teach the children. I have just finished our series on the early life of Jesus and will be starting a four-part series entitled “Extreme Home Makeover, Family Edition” in February. I am excited about this series and hope it will help our mission members.
Our services are being held in the Brownwood Phase II Apartments’
Community Room. If you’re out in West Central Texas, come
on out and visit with us.

The Lord blessed in November with two by baptism. The month of
December we had 13 visitors. I have had health problems with my
lungs and missed three services. This limited my ability to visit.
Each Saturday, weather permitting, we have four to five out knocking
on doors. We had a memorial service for the child of one of our
members who was killed in a car wreck. Our attendance has been
down because of much sickness among our members. We would like
to thank you for your prayers and for the support of our sister
churches.

Dear Brethren, I first of all want to express my thanks to the
messengers of the Missionary Baptist Association of Texas for

churches of the Texas Mission Development for giving us the first
quarter offerings for 2009. We at Heritage are looking forward
to getting on with the repair of our building and getting our
outreach going. We had ten first time visitors in December. If
any of you would like for me to come and present our work to your
church, Mission Rally or any other program, just let me know.
You can contact me at 936-598-3914 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

to raise approximately $2,500.00 each month to get us back in
the black. We have been in the red for about three years. God
bless you for your help.

TEXAS MISSION DEVELOPMENT
I continue to enjoy representing the Texas Mission Development
throughout Texas. I am very excited about being a part of Texas
State Missions. I am so much looking forward to being able to
leave my secular job and represent TMD full time. I am grateful
to the churches of the MBA of Texas for helping Rocky Springs
MBC support me with half salary.
December was a busy month and I loved it. I presented the TMD
program to University MBC of Tyler. They have supported us since
their beginning but wanted the membership to be better informed
of how our program works.
I was invited to conduct Sunday services at the Rusk State Hospital and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ with about 60 in attendance. I taught two Wednesday night lessons at Rocky Springs MBC and held three Nursing Home services. The week of Christmas we counted the TMD ballots and mailed out 185 ballot result letters. Heritage MBC of Center was chosen by our supporters to be our first quarter project.
January has been an enjoyable month. We were privileged to visit Faith MBM in Hewitt and see their new property. I was very impressed with the location of their six acres. Bro. Marion Reed joined us for the tour of the property and we were privileged to have a couple of meals with the Reeds. It was a special time for us. I spoke at Rocky Springs MBC and at Memorial MBC of Rusk. I am looking forward to attending the Old Cherokee Mission Rally on Eastside MBC in Jacksonville on January 31st.
Remember that Texas Mission Development could sure use some more supporters. I am available to come tell our churches all about the good TMD is doing for Missions and Churches in Texas.
