January 2007 seemed to fly by. But, we are having winter this year. We had to cancel one of our scheduled visits due to icy weather conditions. Hopefully that won’t happen again. We do enjoy visiting among the churches.

Our Missionaries seem to be making progress. The Missionaries report 15 professions of faith in January. There were six baptisms. Let’s pray that all the people who make professions of faith obey God’s command to be baptized and become a part of His church. One Mission is dedicating a building in February. Another one is making a decision about buying a building or land. Another is getting plans ready for the building they plan to do. Pray for the Missionaries.

Did you receive your 2007 Missions Poster? If not let me know and another one will be sent. I do like to see them displayed in a prominent place when I visit the churches.

The Texas Missions Conference on Leadership and Church Development will be on Tuesday, April 24th at 9:00 a.m. in the facilities of New Liberty Baptist Church located at 333 West Centerville Road in Garland. Speakers for the Conference this year will be Bro. William “Dubs” Byers of Arkansas and Bro. Larry Fincher of Louisiana. Please plan to attend the Conference.

“Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that He will send forth laborers into His harvest.”

Total Church Offering $1,090.00 Gave To Missions $109.00 Paid For Rent $1,800.00

January was a very challenging month for Emmanuel MBM of Sugar Land. As was true in much of Texas, we had some services affected by ice and/or flooding. We were forced to completely cancel one service due to ice and another due to flooding conditions in Sugar Land and in the surrounding areas. Our outreach efforts were also affected. We had two different scheduled visitation days that had to be cancelled due to the elements. We do remain excited about the work here. We were able to do some door to door visitation. People that we were able to talk to about the Lord were receptive, although none made a decision while we were at their homes. I continue to work through the Church Planter’s Tool Kit with Bro. Charlie Ellison as my Coach. It has been a blessing to me as I have worked through the lessons.

This has also been a challenging month for my family and myself. I am borrowing a car while trying to raise the funds to replace my stolen truck. During last month the transmission has sprung a leak (now corrected) and someone has repeatedly stolen gasoline from it. I am continuing to try to find a way to acquire a permanent replacement for my truck. Misty, my wife, spent most of the month without a job. She is now working temporarily preparing tax returns, which will help us. Though we have been challenged, GOD IS GOOD! The devil has worked hard against us but God has worked even harder.

We are continuing to search for a co-sponsoring church. Please pray for us as we prayerfully conduct this search. If anyone would like to hear more about this field of over 450,000 lost souls, please contact me at 832-486-9330 or my sponsoring pastor at 281-324-1969. May God bless all friends of Texas State Missions.

Total Church Offering $2,107.00 Gave To Missions $300.00

Our numbers have been down this month. We’re hoping to get back some of the energy we may have lost during the Holidays. We have two new prospects that have been with us the last couple of weeks. This month we have had our people sign up for different areas in the church where they would like to work. We’re hoping to get everyone more involved.

We are looking forward to what February will bring. Keep on keeping on!

Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Greetings! We began January by baptizing six the first Sunday of the New Year. The Mission had 17 new additions. Thank God for his saving grace.

The dedication service for our new building will be Saturday, February 17th at 2:00 p.m. We invite all of our brothers and sisters to come and share in the joyous occasion and see how God has blessed the Mission. Our sponsoring church, Baker Drive BC of Dickinson, will be our special guests and Pastor Joe Bozarth will bring the message. We hope to see you there.

Thanks to those who contribute regularly, as well as those who give one-time donations. Please continue to partner with us prayerfully and financially. The Lord provides! I am grateful to our Texas Mission Development, the MBA of Texas, Mission Bend BC of Houston, Calvary MBC of Baytown, Florida Avenue BC of Beaumont and Baker Drive BC of Dickinson. Without you, and others like you, without the monetary gifts and prayers for our Mission, we could not do what we do for Christ.

January was a good month in the Lord’s work in Tyler. We had several additions this month, even though our attendance was down some due to illness. We will have a baptismal service for three of our professions of faith in February.

The Lord continues to bless us with good spiritual services. Our people are witnessing to others and we have some very good prospects for our church. We are thrilled for our good attendance on Wednesday evenings. The Discovery Club is proving to be a great blessing to our church.

If you are in the Tyler area, you are invited to come and visit in any of our services. We do appreciate all the support we receive from churches and individuals. Please continue to pray for the work in Tyler.

The month of January has been a month of tremendous blessings. The Mission continues to grow as the Lord prepares us for greater things to come. We are truly excited and anxiously looking forward to what the Lord has in store for Cornerstone.

We are currently making plans for Easter services. We hope that we can reach out into the community in a powerful way as we celebrate our Lord’s resurrection. We are attempting to rent a movie theater or a school for the service. We have completed a series on planning for the year. This process will be on-going but the plans allow us to focus on reaching people for Christ.

We held a Missions Dinner in January. We were excited about the attendance. We had multiple people to sign up for the Medical Missions International trips to Peru and Paraquay. Please pray for us as we make these plans.

We are prayerfully seeking direction in our purchase of property. We have many options and the Lord continues to open doors. We are patiently seeking the path the Lord would have us follow.

Please continue to pray for us as we seek the Lord’s will in Grapevine, Texas. If you would like for me to share the work in Grapevine with your church, please call 817-343-5900.

The progress continues to pick up speed here in Gainesville. God continues to bless us, as well. This morning, January 28th, we had another come for baptism and membership. That makes 16 new members in two months. Praise God! We continue to have visitors each Sunday and many repeat visitors, too.

As for the building project, it is picking up speed, too. Bro. Reed is finishing up the plans for us and then we are ready to get busy with all the things that go along with it. I hope by next month’s report we have all the figures and work near completion so that we will be ready to get started actually building pretty soon. We ask for your continued prayers as we grow and build for God’s honor and glory in Gainesville. God Bless You!
