With the heat and rain of July came some differing opportunities to share the gospel in the Fort Bend County area. While searching for a home I met with a realtor who lives in the housing development across the street from our building. We were able to have a wonderful talk about the Lord and his need for a church home. We are praying for Keith that he and his wife will allow God to make the changes in their lives that He wants to. We are still having people stand outside our door during the preaching service, listening to the message. Our prayer is that they will come where they can hear better and where we can show more clearly the love that Jesus has for them.

Our attendance and offerings held steady in the month of July. We did have one in the hospital and sick most of the month but we are praying that she will be able to return to services soon. We are still looking for a church that would be willing to co-sponsor this work with Twinland MBC. If God is leading you in this direction, contact Pastor Stephen Pace at 713-582-9768.
This is a much needed work in one of the fastest growing areas of the state. With all of these lost souls to reach, we have a great job to do. Please prayerfully consider being a part of this work through your prayers and offerings. We still have a lease of $1,800.00 per month and you can see by our offerings that we need help with this. Please send all offerings to Twinland MBC, 16300 Wallisville Road, Houston, TX 77049. I am also available on Sunday and Wednesday evenings to travel to share our vision for this area. Please contact me at 713-492-4837 to set a time. Thank you to the churches that have sent funds this month; Frontier MBC in Angleton, Magnolia MBC in Magnolia, Twinland MBC in Houston.

We had a good VBS in spite of heavy rains and flash flooding every night. We didn’t have as many kids as we had hoped for but it was a good first time experience for many of our people.

There is a lot of excitement about a new group of Romanians who are holding services in our sanctuary on Sunday evenings while we meet in our fellowship hall. We’ve had two joint services in Romanian and English. They were encouraging to our people.

We gained a new member this month who is very excited about learning.. Continue to pray for us.

“And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.”.
1Cor. 13:13

Greetings! I trust that the grace of our Lord is with you all. The mission work is still surpassing all of our expectations. Although our numbers declined significantly during the vacation months, the Lord is still adding to His work. We will baptize two in August. Praise God!

We had great participation for our three day youth camp with over 50 youth and youth workers attending. We thank God for the many opportunities to share the love of Christ.

Thanks to those who contribute regularly, as well as those who give one-time donations. Please continue to partner with us prayerfully and financially. The Lord provides! I am grateful to our Texas Mission Development, the MBA of Texas, Mission Bend BC of Houston, Calvary MBC of Baytown, Florida Avenue BC of Beaumont, and Baker Drive BC of Dickinson. Without you, and others like you, without the monetary gifts and prayers for our Mission, we could not do what we do for Christ.

It is good to report an interesting month for July. Most of our vacations are over and we are praying for an increase in attendance when everyone gets back into their regular routine.

Our camp was very good. We go to Texas Camp #1. There were 62 professions of faith during the week. I have not been able to attend camp as a camper for several years but Mrs. Gardner and I visited on Wednesday evening and heard a great message. We enjoyed the entire service and the fellowship with all the people after the service. It was just a little of what heaven will be like. Thank God for the old-time preaching and singing praises unto the Lord.

August 4th will be our Vacation Bible School. The one day VBS works great for our church. Our young people enjoy it, also. It is always a lot of work but seeing the joy on the faces of the children makes all the work worthwhile.

Thank you for all your prayers and offerings. We still need more parking. May God bless each of you is my prayer. Come to see us when you can.

Greetings once again from all of us here at Meadowbrook. July has seemed to fly by. We have been busy getting ready for Camp. We were blessed to have Bro. Reed and Nancy visit our Sunday morning service.

God is truly blessing Meadowbrook. We had two young men saved at camp. One member who is 78 years old rededicated his life to God. Please keep this wonderful church and her pastor in your prayers.

Total Church Offering $9,580.25 Gave To Missions $6,084.20 Paid For Rent $750.00

We are extremely blessed as God continues to work in the Grapevine community. Our attendance averages are a bit down due to summer months. This is to be anticipated.

In August we will be having our second Vacation Bible School. We are making our final plans. Last year we had over 75 in attendance. Please pray for our efforts to reach children in VBS.

We participated in a mission work trip with Bro. Jerry Baker in New Mexico. We had eight make the trip to the Navajo Nation. We joined Bro. Dean Grigsby as they shared the planned VBS program. The experience was awesome. Thank you, Bro. Jerry, for your work. We are making plans to go again next year.

We have several attending the Medical Mission trip to Peru in September. This trip is led by Bro. Cliff Pennington.

I would like to thank you for your continued support of the work. God is blessing in a mighty way. Your prayers are very much appreciated.

It has finally begun to dry out in Gainesville. There is still a lot of cleaning up that has to be done in town because of the massive flood on June 18th. We were blessed of God not to have any damage at the church or my home. There was about 4-6 feet of water in area businesses. There were three lives lost during the flood. A grandmother and her two young grandchildren drowned.
One couple in the church family suffered damage, but God is in control.

We baptized five of our young people who accepted Christ as Savior at Camp last month. We have had several visitors recently.

The weather has slowed down our building process but we are getting there. The old building and concrete have been hauled off and the contractor has stated that he wants to start this week if all goes well. So far, the pre-construction costs have been $16,117.03. That counts our surveys, plans, civil engineering, demolition of the old building (including abatement of asbestos). Currently our balance is $126,000.00. Join us in prayer that the Lord will continue to bless the effort here. May God bless!
