“The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest.” (Luke 10:2) “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” (James 5:16) These words are written in God’s Word, the Bible. In light of this, I am asking each of you to pray diligently for God to send more laborers (missionaries) into our field of labor, the state of Texas. We have the funds to support men to carry the Gospel to our part of the world, but we need men to answer the call and we need churches to send them out. Please pray for the work of our MBA of Texas. We have a very big challenge if we are planning to carry out the instructions of our Lord.

Also, please plan to attend the pre-associational meeting of the MBA on Tuesday, October 7th at 10:00 a.m. This meeting will be held in Hillsboro, hosted by Walnut Street MBC. This meeting will be to discuss those who are asking for salary from the MBA in 2009. (The deadline for requesting support for Missionaries is September 15th.) There will be no business conducted. This is just for an exchange of information. This is not just for pastors. Each church should plan to be represented by a member, or members. We hope to have good attendance to discuss the work of the MBA of TX.

This has been a wonderful month! We have a family attending who are from the Philippines. They are using their musical talent, as well as running the power point.
This is a big help to Bro. Murray, our music director. Our Monday evening Bible study is growing. We are watching life changes each week.

We are beginning an outreach program called GROW (God Rewards Our Work). This is an easy and effective outreach that everyone can be a part of. One Sunday we had a baby
dedication. It is good to see couples commit to raising their children in the Lord. Please continue to pray for us at Northgate.

May was an exciting month for Vanderbilt. The Lord blessed us with two professions of faith. We have visitors in almost all of our services and some are very good prospects for our church. We have reason to believe they will become members in the near future. Our people are excited about our church and they are being used by the Lord to invite others. This encourages the Missionary.

Please continue to pray for Vanderbilt and come visit us when you are in the area.

Greetings from Meadowbrook. What a month it has been. I am now a Grandpa! God is still watching over me and my family. We are still seeing new faces in nearly every service and we were blessed by the addition of four more this month.

I ask you to pray for my Dad. He has been diagnosed with bone cancer and as of this report he is bedridden. Please pray that God will comfort him in his final hours.

We love and thank all who still see this work as a blessing for God’s Kingdom. May God bless and keep you all.

The month of May has been filled with many blessings. We are excited regarding our visitors and the fact that they continue to return to worship services. We have had visitors in each of our worship services this month. We had one man wish to join the work and we have a baptism service scheduled for June 1st. This will be a wonderful day of celebration. Please keep this man in your prayers. I’m confident that God has big plans in store for him as he pursues God’s will for his life.

We are preparing for multiple mission trips this month. We will be hosting a VBS in New Mexico in July. We will be partnering with the Mission, TX church where the Pastor is Daniel Tijerina. Please keep us in your prayers as we plan for this trip. We have 14 from Cornerstone planning to make this trip.

The attendance for the month has been impacted by many activities. This is probably to be expected, but we do miss many of the families each Sunday. The vacation season has hit – I pray for each family that travels.

We are preparing for our local VBS in the Grapevine community. This will be a wonderful opportunity to continue reaching out to the community. Pray for this, also.

We appreciate all your prayers and support. Please feel free to contact me at 817-343-5900 if you have questions. I’m always excited to share the work in your church. Please call me to schedule an overview.

Sunday School 16 Morning Worship 16 Evening Worship 13
Total Church Offering $334.00 Gave To Missions $50.00

This month has been a good time laboring in God’s work. My wife, Laura, and I had many good visits in the Price area, Mt. Enterprise, and Alto. Some visits were the first time, others the second or third. In all of our visits we shared God’s Word and tried to encourage the people to attend our services and make decisions for Christ. This month we had five new visitors and we hope they will receive Christ very soon.

We do work very hard to win people for Christ but we have a problem. The Hispanic people are constantly moving, looking for better jobs. So we lose families and people continuously. Pray that the work will become firm.

Total Church Offering $1,100.00 Gave To Missions $160.00

Dear Brethren. We continue knocking on doors in Tatum. We have two families who have opened their homes to have Bible study each Tuesday and Thursday. Also, one member from Bethel MBC moved to Timpson. These people offered some property for the work we do in Tatum. We praise the Lord for this blessing.

I am traveling each Sunday evening with my family from Henderson to Center to preach for Iglesia Bautista Emanuel. The attendance increased this month. God brought two adult persons that we have been planting the seeds for many months. We had a revival service on May 24th. The church invited Bro. Arnulfo Gallegos to preach. He is the Pastor of Iglesia Bautista el Calvario of Acuna, Mexico. We saw the Lord open doors in Longview and Tyler. I have prayed for a year for the Lord to call more Hispanic people to preach and plant more churches in East Texas.

I will finish the first year at TBI. We have started making a lot of plans for this summer. We are planning to try and reach more Hispanic people for our Lord Jesus Christ. Help to pray for all these plans we have made.
