Missionary Report for June 2010

TEXAS STATE MISSIONS REPORT FOR JUNE 2010

Beginning Balance - $176,717.03

Offerings - $19,031.67

Missionary Support - $21,414.00

Administrative Salaries and Expenses - $ 3,406.00

Designated For Property and Buildings - $242.65

Ending Balance – $170,686.05    (- $6,030.98)

Thank you for your support of the Missionaries selected for support by the messengers of the MBA of Texas.  Several years ago there was concern that the balance in the bank was much too large.  We felt that God had a plan for the money given for the support of the missionaries.  Now we know that His plan is for us to use it.  If you are keeping up with the balance in the MBA account you can see that we are spending the balance at the rate

of $6,000.00 to $7,000.00 each month.  We appreciate those of you who have remained

steady in your mission giving.  Some churches have even increased their support.  For

those of you who are no longer supporting, please keep a watchful eye on the balance as

the year goes along and our balance grows smaller.  Hopefully, you will begin to support

MBA missions again.

The deadline for churches to request support for a Missionary is growing closer.  The deadline is Wednesday, September 15th.  We will be working under a new mission policy this year and the request form will be somewhat different.  Please don’t wait until the last minute to get your request in.  If you have questions you can call me at 972-272-7727 or email me at cbmin1@verizon.net

The pre Associational meeting this year will be hosted by Pastor Kevin Clinton and Liberty MBM in McKinney.  The meeting is scheduled to be on Tuesday, October 5th.  Since we are working with a new Mission Policy this year it will be very important for you to be present for this meeting.  Bro. Clinton promised to serve lunch to those who attend.  Mark your calendar now!!

We had seven visitors who blessed our church with specials in song.  We were saddened with the loss of Bro. Ray Nichols, a faithful member of our church family.  We will miss his faithfulness to the Lord’s work.  Praise be to God because Bro. Ray’s granddaughter, Timmy, was saved (according to her own testimony) because of the preaching at Bro. Ray’s funeral.  “O death where is thy victory?”

Please be in prayer for my wife, Carol, as she recovers from hip replacement surgery.

May God bless you.

We have had low attendance in June but our teen class is growing.  The teens took charge of a Sunday morning worship service.  The music and their testimonies were so touching.  The men are learning how to become stronger leaders. This study has been a real good encouragement to me.

We are preparing for Bro. Dan McGuire and Crossroads MBC of Hughes Springs to come for a visit in July.  More people are getting involved with our GROW program.

We have had many comments about the effectiveness of this program.  Thank you for your prayers and support.

June was a very quick month and we have lots of plans now.  We are starting to pray diligently for the Hispanic people, especially for all the relatives of our membership.  This month we have begun to visit all of them.  Please join Iglesia Bautista Monte Sinai with your prayers for our Mission.  “Praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ.”  Colossians 4:3

We are planning a Vacation Bible School to be held in August at a local park, if the Lord wills.  We are moving on to a new neighborhood which is in the general vicinity near where we have been working.  Please pray for our work in San Antonio as we continue to preach the Word and to be patient as the Lord gives fruit for our labors.  Thank you for your prayers and support.

RICKY O’NEAL

BEREAN PRISON MINISTRIES

June was another great month as we have had 18 precious souls saved.  How long has it been since you have seen a soul saved out in the free world?  That’s too long!!  We have seen 179 saved so far this year and 2,358 saved since this work began.  This is a special mission field and we must not neglect to go out and sow the seeds of God’s Word.  Texas leads the nation in number of prisons and Texas leads the nation in this special mission field.  Thank you for your prayers and support.

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.   MISSION – By the grace of God, we continue with home services and by this means we have encountered new people.  The Lord blessed us with 9 visitors.  We ask your prayers for the construction of the church building.  We also ask you to pray for my daughter who is going to ATM college this September.

SAN JUAN – We continue to congregate every Thursday and Bro. Jose Poot continues to congregate each Sunday morning.  The Lord blessed us with 12 children and 26 adults and 3 professions of faith.  Please keep this congregation and Bro. Poot and his family in your prayers since they travel twice each week to San Juan from Monterrey.  Thank you very much for your love, prayers and support.  May the Lord bless.

God is blessing us in a mighty way.  He never leaves nor forsakes us.  Though our group is small in number, the Lord is with us.  The battle is fierce but the victory is won in Christ our Lord.

We are heading to Gallup, NM to help Bro. Jerry and Sis. Connie Baker with VBS.  We are going to join forces with Cornerstone Baptist Church and Pastor Craig Rodgers.  We leave on June 27th and return on July 1st.  Please pray that the Lord may touch the hearts and souls of the Navajo people.  We will keep you posted.  Thank you for your much needed prayers and support.

June was very busy for us.  On the 1st we had a youth bowling day with 10 in attendance, five of them were visitors.  The 13th thru the 20th I presented the work to Bethel Baptist Church of Iuka, MS, Midway Baptist Church of Benton, MS and Eastgate Baptist Church of Greenwood, MS.  We were blessed to be given the majority of our VBS materials while in Benton.  We are now praying for a facility in which to have a VBS as ours is too small to conduct one.

We welcomed two new members this month, Cynthia Wright and Robert Puckett.  We are glad to have them as part of our mission and look forward to serving with them.  To date, the Lord has increased our membership to 20.  We had a high attendance of 23 on June 13th.   That left one empty chair in the sanctuary.  We still have regular visitors and we ask for your prayers as we seek to minister to them and reach out to the lost in Kerrville. Our prayer is that God blesses all the churches of the MBA of Texas.

God blessed us in a wonderful way in June.  God continues to send visitors, some of which are prospects.  We continue to work with lost souls and unchurched in our area.  Pray that souls will be saved and lives changed.

Much progress has been made on the building.  Most of the sheetrock is hung.  What a blessing to have the Texas Mission Builders and the Macedonian Builders to help with construction.  Bro. Brant Lane and Bro. Joe Legg preached for us while they were here.  This was a special blessing.  This is a wonderful group of dedicated men and women who use their talents for the Lord.  It is such a blessing to work together here at Heartland Baptist Church in peace and harmony.  Thank you for your prayerful and financial support.
