Minute Fund and Expense of Meeting Offering - $12,790.00

As I write this report it is December 1st.  We have had our annual MBA messenger meeting, celebrated Thanksgiving and are now looking forward to Christmas and the New Year.  I pray that you and yours will have a  very blessed Christmas and New Year.

I want to mention a couple of things.  It is not too late to send an offering for the expense of the messenger meeting.  This is more than just the expense of the minute books.  We must pay the clerks, enrollment and finance committee, publicity director, media  worker, and whatever expense the host church turns in.  An offering is always in order for these.

The MBA missionaries approved for support this year certainly appreciate the Chrismas bonus that the messengers voted to give them.  It is a great gift and they are thankful.

Thank you for allowing me to serve as Secretary-Treasurer again.  We enjoy the work.

Well, another month has come and gone and our attendance is nothing to brag about.  The effort was put forth to reach folks here in Lufkin but it has not happened yet.  One of our regulars moved to another city to live with family.  She has been missed dearly.  These are things to expect in an aging process.  We are visiting regularly and much prayer is put into the increase in our attendance.  Please pray for us as we labor here in Lufkin.

The Holidays are here upon us and we hope you will remember us and our sponsoring church.  We could use some special offerings and maybe a visit or two.  Sometimes we could use a friendly telephone call or visit or just someone saying hello.  We wish for all a happy holiday season and a mighty thank you for all prayers said for us and for the kind thoughts.  Thank you for your support.

I would like to once again thank the churches of the MBA of Texas for voting to put me on state support again.  You have all been such a blessing to us.  As I reported at the state meeting, our goal for this year is to minister to the parents of our teens and children and try to get them into the church.  Well, after the meeting, we were blessed with the mother of one of the teens I baptized back in September, coming forward to join Hill Country MBC by statement.  Please pray for us in this part of our ministry because some of the

parents have strong feelings against God and churches.  One parent goes so far as to discourage his son from attending.  It will be hard to win them to the Lord and get them in church.  It can only be done with God’s help and the prayers of His people.

There were nine in attendance during our monthly youth night.  We praised the Lord when one of our members, Joshua Noble, surrendered to the ministry on the 23rd.  Please pray for this young man and one other who has expressed a desire to go to seminary.  Thanks to all of you for your prayers and continued support.  May you have a very blessed Christmas.

Thank you again, MBA of Texas, for your confidence in Heartland Baptist Church and Pastor.  Attendance was down some from last month.  We were blessed with 11 visitors for the month, four of these were first time visitors.

God blessed us with the funds to do a small portion of our parking lot.  We spent $7,300.00 + to have this done.  We have some small projects we hope to do in December.

Pray for some of our church family who have physical problems.  Pray for those we are witnessing to and ministering to.  There are so many in our area who need to be saved and many saved who need to be in church.

We are excited that the PreAssociational Meeting will be meeting with us next October.  Thank you for your faithful financial support and prayerful support.

We ordered 2,000 more door hangers and a box of tracts to use on our Thursday evening soul outreach.  The church is putting together “blessing bags” to hand out.  These bags have tracts, along with toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, rags, gum and other items.  We hope people will let us share these blessings, as well as the Gospel when we give them.

Last Sunday morning one of our ladies wanted to give a testimony.  After she told what God was doing in her life, one by one, our people got up and testified of our awesome Lord.  It was the best service we have had in a while.  I did not preach but the Holy Spirit moved among His people.  Several have expressed how God has been working in their lives.  Thank you for supporting me and this church.  You are welcome to visit any time.

I have attended every annual messenger meeting of the MBA of Texas since surrendering to the ministry back in 2004.  Of all the meetings I have attended, I feel the one we had in November ranks at the top in terms of fellowship and the Christian way in which business was conducted.  I want to thank the messengers for approving my request for monthly support.

I want to let you know that my ministerial salary has been restructured and I have taken a $1,000.00 per month cut in pay.  I feel that this is best when considering the balance of the state mission fund and in managing the Rocky Springs Missions Account they have set up for the work in Brownwood.  To cover the $1,000.00 pay cut (for which I volunteered) I have taken on additional work in Brownwood.  I am the news director for KOXE 101.3 which allows me to connect with many people in the community.  None the less, my family still has needs (medical care, etc.).  If you would like to support us in this way, you can send correspondence to my personal address at 106 Orchard Dr. Early, TX 76802.

Grace Pointe is also working toward holding a series of outreach events.  If you would like to help us purchase outreach supplies (tracts, literature, etc.) or help fund some of our events (like hosting a booth at local festivals, etc.) you can send support to my sponsoring church, Rocky Springs MBC, P.O. Box 1840, Jacksonville, TX 75766.

Grace Pointe is currently looking to buy land and construct a building, and thanks to the direct support of several ABA churches, Texas Mission Development, The Southwest District Ladies Auxiliary and the Texas State Ladies Auxiliary, we now have more than $40,000.00 in our building fund.  To support the building fund, please send support to Grace Pointe MBA, P.O. Box 1826, Brownwood, TX 76804.  Your love and support has been overwhelming and I am truly thankful for all that you have done for us.  God has prospered your prayers and offerings, but there is still work to be done to see Grace Pointe become the church God wants her to be.  Thank you for everything.

TEXAS MISSION DEVELOPMENT

November was a very special and enjoyable month.  It began with a ballot mail out to all our faithful supporters and preaching both services at Memorial MBC of Rusk.  Then we did a presentation of the Third Quarter funds to the Heritage Baptist church of Missouri City for their McAllen mission.  I attended the very uplifting and renewing MBA of Texas Messenger meeting where I was approved to receive support for another year.  Thanks to our messengers for giving me another year of support.  And, thanks to Bro. Lawrence Thompson for singing the traditional TMD promotional song.  The work is growing.  P.T.L. !!

It was a busy month , including attending the MBA of Texas messenger meeting.  We give thanks to our Lord for the MBA churches voting to allow Shiloh MBC to continue support for another year.  We still have Mr. Chavez attending.  Last Sunday we had Bro. and Sister Cooper from Houston visiting on Sunday morning.

We ask that you pray for Bro. Garza.  He had the understanding that he was being employed by an employer in the Valley, but unfortunately, they dropped the offer.  He has been unemployed for 6 months now.  We also ask that you lift in prayer all the contacts that we are working with as the Lord leads their heart to submit to serving our Lord.

We praise God for His continued blessings on the work here at Texas Avenue.  I was able to attend the MBA of Texas messenger meeting in November.  We are very thankful for the messengers approving our request for support for another year.

Recently we had a young family of four return to our fellowship after being away for five years.  Praise God!   I had the privilege of baptizing them back then.  This young couple had gotten out of God’s service and had some marital problems. Through these problems they saw the need of giving the Lord control of their lives and getting back to serving Him.  They have a real potential to be a great asset to TABC.  They haven’t missed a service since returning.  We thank God for His mercy and grace in our lives and the lives of those with whom we work.

Thanks to each of you for your support of Texas Missions!  As always, we thank Liberty Baptist Church of McKinney for their faithful support.

RICKY O’NEAL

BEREAN PRISON MINISTRY

November was a very busy month for us as we had several meetings to go to and the annual state meeting, where we were approved for mission support another year.  Thank God for that and thank God for the twenty one (21) souls saved during the month.  That is a total of 188 for the year and 2,552 over the life of this work.

We already have two churches to go to in January to present the work and to deliver a message from the Lord.  We would be more than happy to come to your church or meeting as we are very enthusiastic about this work.  It is one of the greatest soul saving ministries that I have seen.  We want to thank all of those who support this work as God will one day reward all of those who have helped win these people to the Lord and helped spread the Gospel in it’s purity in over 2,994 prisons across our nation.

Blessings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.  I want to express my gratitude to our sponsoring church, Unity MBA in Longview, Missionary Baptist Association of Texas, and sister churches for your support to this missionary for one more year.  We pray that we may keep laboring faithfully in the Lord’s work, witnessing to the lost souls.

During the month the Lord blessed us with visitors from different countries, such as Cuba, Nicaragua, and El Salvador.  We thank God for a total of nine new visitors.  We also thank God for the Thanksgiving Service.  It was of great blessing.

Brethren, we  ask your prayers as we begin the construction of the new church building.  May the Lord richly bless the brethren who will collaborate in this endeavor and for the brethren who have collaborated, giving towards the building fund.  We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  May God bless you is our prayer.
