As the numbers show we stayed even in the month of November. It was a somewhat warm, dry month so we were able to spend more time in the neighborhoods doing door to door visitation rather than in the Malls doing indoor contact visitation. We did see some interest in the church from some that we visited with.

I was able to visit with our sister church, Magnolia MBC in Magnolia, about the work here. I was very excited by their continued interest in the work. I was also very excited to be able to attend the MBA of Texas messenger meeting in Hillsboro. I would like to thank the messengers from the churches for approving the recommendation of my sponsoring church for my salary for one more year.

We do continue to need your prayers and help, especially in the area of finances. We need about $1,000.00 per month over and above what our offerings are in order to meet our bills. Please continue to pray for this need and, if possible, send offerings to my sponsoring church, Twinland MBC , 16300 Wallisville Road, Houston, TX 77049. Again, thank you to friends of the Mission.

We have changed our format for December while trying to get back to the “heart of worship” with different testimonies and thankful hearts. God is bringing new faces to us. We met for two Sunday evenings and planned events and special days for 2008. We have started praying early each Sunday morning and expect God to do big things this coming year. Our Men’s breakfast is still going strong. It is good to see some of our men growing stronger spiritually. Our goal is to become accountable, not only to God, but to each other. I am very thankful for the opportunity to attend the Reach America Huddle this year. I came home realizing even more that “without a vision, the people perish.”

Matthew 16:18 “And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Our overall attendance for the month was down but the Lord added five new members to his New Testament Church. That’s right! Hopewell MBM became Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church on November 3rd. We had a great time and were very blessed by the message that Bro. Reed brought to us. I am so grateful to all who came to share on that very special day. I am especially grateful for Baker Drive Baptist Church and Bro. Joe Bozarth for sponsoring the Mission for the past four years and to all of those who contributed and prayed for our work. Please continue to do so because we have only just begun and there is so much more to do. For me personally it has truly been a blessing to have been a part of what God has done and is doing through our church and this Association. We are truly blessed to be associated with the MBA fellowship of churches.

I had to work and was unable to attend the State Messenger Meeting. I really wanted to be there to say thanks for all of the support and prayers. I hope that this will be the last one that I have to miss and hope to be in attendance at the National meeting. We send heartfelt thanks to all who have supported Hopewell. May God richly bless you is our prayer.

It is good to report two additions to our mission this month. Bro.and Mrs. Roy Page came into our fellowship. They were members of Bethel MBC, our sponsoring church. They recently moved to Tyler and we are thrilled to have them fellowshipping with Vanderbilt. Bro. Roy is a deacon and they are a real asset to our Mission.

Our choir is working on a Christmas program. Bro. Phil Patterson, our music director, is doing an excellent job with our choir. Also, our Wednesday evening service is averaging 40. People are continuing to visit.

I deeply appreciate the messengers of the MBA of Texas for recommending me as a State Missionary for another year. I encourage you to pray for me as I lead in this great work. Our

Greetings from Meadowbrook. I was blessed this month while attending the State Meeting. I got to visit with some Pastors and Missionaries that I haven’t seen in years. I want to thank all who showed their support for this wonderful work. It has not been easy but we still see that the Lord is in charge. The last Sunday of November we were blessed as a young lady was saved and then on Sunday night she was baptized. I am so thankful that Jesus is touching hearts and changing lives.

The month of November has been a tremendous blessing. God is continuing to bless the efforts to plant a church in Grapevine. I would like to thank you for your continued support of the work. Your prayers are valued and the support funds are greatly appreciated.

We are currently making our plans for the coming year. The plans will include three mission trips, VBS, and many detailed Bible study opportunities. Please keep us in your prayers as we enter the planning phase of the work.

We have created several packages for the Navajo Mission work for Christmas. Bro. Jerry Baker will distribute over 30 Christmas packages from our Mission efforts. Thank you, Bro. Jerry for your work in the Navajo Nation.

We are still searching for property. Our most recent opportunities seem to hit a cost issue. We are in prayer about it but not discouraged. We also hope to have a redesigned web site next year.

It was great to see many of you at the State Meeting. If you have any questions please call me at

TODD GRAY
GAINESVILLE

Souls Saved 3 Baptisms 3 Letter 7 Statement 0

Last year at this time Clement Street Missionary Baptist Church came before you with a request for funds equal to half salary for our building project in Gainesville. What a year it has been! In the past year we have made a lot of progress. There has been 11 professions of faith since last year’s meeting with 8 following the Lord in baptism. This month there were three professions of faith and all three were baptized. There have been seven join by letter. We praise God for the 24 who have joined our church family since last November.

The work on the building is coming along very well. Once in the dry we will begin to finish out the inside. Our brick work has begun. New signs are being constructed on Grand Avenue and in front of the church building. Our goal is to have the building dedication next summer when our homecoming and revival will be scheduled.

Financially we are not doing so well. We have lost several of our older families due to relocating because of health reasons and the Lord has called home some of His saints. Our finances have begun to show the effect of losing these dear people of God. So far we have spent $85,886.65. This month’s building offering totaled $1,968 ($1,820.00 from the MBA and $148.00 from the church).

Since creating the building fund two years ago we have raised $159,507.98 which includes the MBA funds, offerings from other churches, and interest. The city has informed us that because of the upgrades there are some other things that must be done to the sanctuary to bring it up to code. These upgrades and to finish out the building will cost about $30,000.00 more than we have. Because of our financial situation we may not qualify for a loan to finish the project. We continue to request funds from the Texas Mission Development, seek special offerings from other churches as well as take up a special offering here every month for this project. We know the Lord will provide so we just ask that you remember our financial situation in your prayers.

I am proud to announce that effective December 31, 2007 Clement Street Missionary Baptist Church will change her name to Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church. The new address will be 622 South Grand Avenue, Gainesville, TX 76240. We are truly excited about what the Lord is doing. We want to express our thanks for your support this past year. Your prayers mean a lot to us here in Gainesville. Even though our time on state funds is ended, we still need your prayers!
