The month of October saw the work in Sugar Land continue to work hard to reach our community. We continue to see results in our evangelistic activities with some saying that they want to visit in our services. I have been able to be back out doing door-to-door work as the weather has stayed unseasonably warm. I have also been (as I mentioned last month) starting my work in the two local malls where I witness to both customers and employees.
I was able to attend the South Texas Associational Meeting where I shared this work with the messengers. I am looking forward to our MBA of Texas Association Messenger Meeting in November. Please continue to pray for us as we work this much needed field. We still have an urgent need for more financial support. Our lease is continuing to really strain the budget

Northgate has had encouragement from one of our senior citizens. Ross Wilson has so much zeal. He reads not chapters, but books in his Bible each week. He was ready to take charge of our mid-week service while I was gone to the Reach America Huddle.
Speaking of Reach America, if you need help or a spiritual uplift in how you can best serve God in his churches, come to the Huddle. You will have a refreshing experience.
We are continuing to learn about accountability in our monthly men’s prayer breakfast. We have started a camp fund for next summer. Each month we will have a fund raiser to help us attend Pine Springs. The last trip to camp we had three kids to go. Two of them accepted Christ.
With time slipping away, we are trying to take every opportunity
to reach out to the lost and the unchurched. While we enjoy trying
other methods, door knocking still seems to be our number one
outreach. We have a desire to make a difference for eternity.
Thank you for praying for us.

James 1:5-6 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him as of God, that giveth to all (men) liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering, for he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.”
There were six additions for the month and although our overall attendance was down there were a number of first time visitors. In the month of October we celebrated four years of being on the Mission field. We are so blessed to be able to organize the Mission on Saturday, November 3rd. We encourage all to come and share in this joyous occasion. Bro. Marion Reed will be our messenger for the service and we are looking forward to a great fellowship. We are excited and pray that all who have supported this work can be in attendance. God is so faithful!
We send a heartfelt thanks to Smyrna MBC for their special offering
of $956.00 for our building fund. Thanks to those who contribute
regularly, as well as those who give one-time donations. Please
continue to partner with us prayerfully and financially. The Lord
provides! We are also grateful to the Texas Mission Development,
the MBA of Texas, Mission Bend BC of Houston, Calvary MBC of Baytown,
Florida Avenue BC in Beaumont and Baker Drive BC in Dickinson.
Without you, and others like you, without the monetary gifts and
prayers for our Mission, and soon to be New Testament Church,
we could not do what we do for Christ.

October is over and we are looking forward to the month of November. We enjoyed a slight increase in our attendance this month. However, some of our members were out for various reasons The good news is that we are still having visitors. I think we have some very good prospects for our church. We are very encouraged by the good spiritual services we are having.
Vanderbilt surprised me with a “Pastor’s Appreciation Day” on October 28th. We enjoyed a good lunch after the morning service and I received an excellent love offering from the members. It was the expression of love that I deeply appreciated so much. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at the State Meeting in Hillsboro in November. Please continue to pray for us.

Greetings dear friends. Just a short letter to let you know just how important your prayers have been to all of us here at Meadowbrook. We are currently focusing on what God’s Word teaches about witnessing to the lost. Outreach has to be one of our Lord’s greatest teachings. We are seeing the results of our labor in more ways than we thought possible. Friends, God is good! I would like to say thank you one more time. May God bless each and every one who has a part in this wonderful work.

God continues to bless in incredible ways as we continue our efforts to plant a New Testament Church in Grapevine, Texas. We are excited about what the Lord has planned for us. This month we had a wonderful blessing when two accepted Christ and were baptized. Please lift these two up in your prayers.
We are continuing to search for property. It seems every opportunity we have to move the door is closed. We are in prayer about the situation. We are confident the Lord is guiding the process.
We are investing in our web site and hoping to make the site better represent the work. At this point, the web has served as the best tool for the community to learn of our efforts. Please pray for us as we continue to pursue God’s plan for reaching people for the cause of Christ.
We have had three visiting families over the past month and are excited about the prospects. Please continue to pray for the church plant and all that the Lord has in store. We are continuing our search for a location with greater access. We are still meeting in a theater on Sundays. I am available to share the Grapevine work with your church. Please contact me. Our email address is www.cornerstoneofgrapevine.org. May the Lord bless!

Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior. God continues to bless His ministry. We began the planning stages of a new outreach program to our community. A Sunday School campaign is in the planning stages, as well. Our attendance has fallen off in the last few weeks. There has been sickness in our church family and we have lost a couple of our church family due to their relocating to another town. As you can guess, this also has begun to show in our finances.
As for the construction process, we are nearing completion of
the new building. There has been some engineering problems with
the roof that has slowed us down but the contractor says he is
about a week away from being finished. Our building cost so far
has totaled $55,260.54. The total cost of bringing the property
up to code and the new building is $201,000.00. Currently the
balance of the building fund is $100,209.54. I ask that you remember
us in your prayers as we continue to strive to grow for the glory
and honor of our Lord and Savior.
