I pray that the churches of the MBA of Texas will not only support financially, but very prayerfully, those men whom we send out to represent God and the MBA.

I want to thank each one who attended the Pre-Associational Meeting which was hosted by Walnut Street MBC in Hillsboro on October 7th. The meeting was well attended with representatives from every area of our state. I appreciate those who took time to attend.

Our GROW program has been great! Fourteen met the first Tuesday evening for phone calls, letters and visits. People in the Community are responding and the Gospel is being presented. The Monday evening Bible study has been great at bringing people together.

Our sign, “Imperfect People Meet Here,” brought a lady and her son who were wanting to know about us. She has received Christ and will be baptized soon. We are trying to use every means to win people before Jesus comes. Thank you for your prayers and come visit with us when you can.

The Lord blessed us with two additions by letter in October. Bro. and Mrs. Herman Moore united with us from Memorial Baptist Church in Elkhart. Bro. Moore is a deacon and Mrs. Moore played the piano at Memorial for over 35 years. They are proving to be a blessing to our church. We are continuing to have visitors and I look for more additions in the very near future. Please continue to pray for us.

Our Hispanic ministry continues to be blessed. This month another man was saved. He is the husband of the woman who was saved last month. Now I’m teaching them Bible lessons and I hope that they will decide to be baptized. We have ten people the same way. They believe in Christ as their Savior but yet they don’t decide to be baptized.
The Hispanic people need to learn the truth about many important doctrines before they decide to be baptized. Pray for them so this can be clarified in their minds.

In Alto the high attendance was 30. The lowest was 12. This is because for some reason the people are coming to our services in the middle of the week. In Price the high attendance was 16 and the lowest was 8. Pray for this work.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, in October the Lord gave us the opportunity to begin to testify of our Lord Jesus Christ in Longview. Two weeks before we began to meet we began to knock on doors where we made 20 contacts. The first service was on October 15th and we had the first visitor and October 22nd we had 7 more visitors. There was a total of 14 who attended the services, from which the Lord saved 3 women. After the service they bended on their knees and put their right hand on the Bible and asked the Lord for forgiveness and to save them!! PRAISE GOD!! We thank our sister church, Unity MBC, for giving us the opportunity to use their facilities and also for the brotherly love they have shown and the interest they have for the lost Hispanic community. All the contacts we had the past weeks were people who have the Catholic background. This week my wife, Martha, and I made contact with a new housewife who has a great thirst to learn about our Lord. She asked us to help her because her marriage is falling apart. We have an appointment with her soon so we can teach her and her husband the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Please give us your prayers for this family.

Our ministerial account balance is at zero. For three months I have tried to pay for all the Bibles, business cards, flyers, kid’s supplies and a printer paper and ink. Now last week my mini van’s engine broke down. Now I have to have it repaired. Now I don’t have money to buy more ministerial supplies because of this incident with my van. If you would like to help us with ministerial supplies that we need you can send it to Hispanic Church Planting Ministries, Corinth MBC, 3763 FM 1970 N, Timpson, TX 75975. The telephone number for the church is 936-254-2229.

Emanuel Baptist Church in Center continued to have services and fellowships. We have a burden in our church because one of our members returned to his home town in Mexico. He was a key member and a faithful servant. He was real active in the church. He was a true witness of our Lord. Six months ago he surrendered to the calling of preaching the Gospel. After he proved his call to the church we gave him the opportunity to preach and it was great. The church agreed to give him a license to preach when he went back to Mexico. They speak another native tongue. This will be the first time they are going to hear the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in their native tongue. Pray for Bro. Lorenzo Torres and his burden. I plan to visit him next year if it is God’s will.
