The seventeen Local Associations in Texas have now met and discussed the past Associational year and the new Associational year. Nancy and I attended all of them that we could and really were well received. Some are better attended and some are better planned, but we enjoyed each of them. We drove about 5,000 miles in September and October. We are now looking forward to the state meeting in Longview.
It is a privilege to go around the state promoting State Missions.
I am so thankful to each church that is faithfully contributing
to the support of our Missions. I am thankful for what has been
done, but I am not satisfied with what is being accomplished.
I believe we can do so much more. It is my prayer that every church
will become burdened for our Mission work. There are so many metropolitan
areas that have no true New Testament church. Wouldn’t it
be wonderful if some churches would be burdened to the point of
going to one of these areas and begin the work of planting a church.
Please pray with me that this will happen so that God can be honored,
many churches established and many souls will be saved. “Pray
ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he will send forth laborers
into his harvest.”

The month of October was a very busy month both for me and for the Emmanuel MBM. While continuing with our outreach activities, we also attended the South Texas Association Messenger meeting at Calvary MBC in Baytown and the District Men’s Brotherhood meeting at Faith MBC in Houston. I was also able to visit with Frontier MBC in Angleton to give them an update on the progress of the work and share with them more about our needs and vision for the work. While there, I shared with them our need for a keyboard. Before we left there we had been given a keyboard that is less than one year old. This may seem like a small thing but it will add a lot to our worship through singing. We were also able to travel back to Angleton to participate in a youth carnival activity time.
We continue, along with our sponsoring church, to prayerfully seek a co-sponsoring church for this work. Twinland MBC of Houston is doing all that they can to help the work financially but need much help and a commitment from a sister church to stand behind this work and me as the missionary. Twinland MBC will remain heavily involved in the work but is asking that our sister churches prayerfully consider helping us. Our pressing needs are $1,000-$1,200 more per month in outside support, a good working copy machine, a sound system (being worked on now by the members of a sister church, but they could use help), and laborers for the Lord. Most important is prayer.
Our outreach continues to bear fruit for the Lord. We held a joint outreach with our sponsoring church and were able to give out over 1,000 salvation tracts. We saw much interest continuing to be shown by the people that we talk to. We are continuing to pray for more laborers but are excited about what God has done through the ones that are laboring here. We continue to finalize the design for a sign to be placed over our entrance door. This may seem like a small thing but getting the sign up will accomplish two very important things: 1) We will be able to fulfill this part of the terms of our lease agreement and 2) The Community will be shown that we are a permanent part of them. Our temporary sign has served us well for ten months but it is time to move forward. This will cost us less than I thought last month. We have been given an estimate of less than $4,000 to do this work. We are now waiting on the final drawings and written estimate in order to go forward. Any who would like to contribute to this need are encouraged to send offerings designated for this to Twinland MBC of Houston. I remain excited about the prospects in Sugar Land. Please pray for us and prayerfully consider either one time or monthly support. All support should be sent to Fort Bend County Missions, Twinland MBC, 16300 Wallisville Rd., Houston, TX 77049. I am available at any time to share this much needed work with any who are interested. Please call me at 832-486-9330 or 713-492-4837. May God bless all who read this and pray for the 450,000 lost souls of Fort Bend County.

I was privileged to attend the annual Reach America Huddle in West Memphis, AR this month. What an encouragement to be with like-minded brothers with the purpose of reaching souls for our Lord.
We are in the process of putting together a Christmas choir.
God added three to our number and they are such a blessing with
their faithfulness and smiles each week. We are having a good
number attend the Sunday afternoon class on outreach. It is a
joy to watch God slowly bless the work as we grow closer to Him
and to each other. Please pray for a hedge of protection around
Northgate.

“I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will
tell of all Your marvelous works.” Ps. 9:1
We send greetings to our sister churches and missions of the MBA.
The month of October was indeed an exciting period for the mission
and rewarding as well. There were three souls won for Christ at
Hopewell and one candidate for baptism. Praise God for His saving
grace.
We celebrated our third anniversary service on October 8th with over 200 in attendance. Praise God for blessing the mission these past three years. We also held our annual Fall Fun Festival the last weekend of the month. We had many friends, neighbors, members and their families stopping by to share with us. There were lots of activities for everyone, including hay rides for the kids, big and small, plenty of games and food for everyone. Great fellowship!
We finally closed on the property! Yes, we purchased the property we have been pursuing for over a year for $329,000.00. Our members have been hard at work making necessary repairs, painting and cleaning in anticipation of our first service at the new building. We had a huge setback with our roofing contractor and all of the rain but we are praying that the roof will be repaired soon. We hope to be holding services in our new building soon. I will keep everyone updated. Praise God!
Thanks to those who contribute regularly, as well as give one-time
donations. Please continue to partner with us prayerfully and
financially as we endeavor to reach our new goal of $100K. The
Lord provides. As always, I am grateful to Mission Bend BC of
Houston, Calvary MBC of Baytown, Florida Avenue BC of Beaumont
and Baker Drive of Dickinson for your continued support. Without
you, and others like you, without the monetary gifts and prayers
for this Mission, we could not do the work that we do for Christ.
I say this with much love and an abundance of blessings.

While door-knocking this month, we had seven people accept the
Lord as Savior. Three were Hispanics and four were English speakers.
One of our church members led two of these to the Lord. That is
five persons she has personally led to Jesus. Praise the Lord.
I sure love it when the church members catch on to what it is
all about.
Dear Brethren, I would please ask that you pray about Beech Grove
BC in Fordyce, AR. They are praying about maybe taking over the
sponsorship of this mission. They will be voting on it on November
12th. The Pastor and Mission Committee have been here and spent
a weekend with us. Please pray that the Lord’s will be done.
I was in one of the best revivals I have been in since I left Las Vegas. There were fourteen professions of faith at the revival in Snyder, TX. Three came for baptism and two more were to be counseled for baptism. Praise the Lord!
Thank you very much for all your support and prayers. All of
this is made possible because you gave to the Lord’s work
in Denton, TX.

October was an exciting month for us at Vanderbilt. The Lord blessed us with 4 additions. We will baptize the one that was recently saved in the very near future. I have reason to believe these additions will be a great blessing to our church.
Bro. Jerry Smith, International Media Service, visited with us and made a video of our church facilities. He did an outstanding job and Bro. Reed will show part of the video at our state meeting. I am looking forward to the meeting in Longview.
We had a Fall Festival for our young people on October 28th. We had good response with approximately 40 young people and adults attending. Everyone enjoyed the games, food and fellowship.
Vanderbilt surprised me with a pastor appreciation day on Sunday,
October 29th. They honored Mrs. Gardner and me with a special
service and we received a $620.00 love offering. I would like
to recommend that every church honor her pastor in like fashion.
It does indeed help to know you are appreciated. I truly do love
the people I pastor and feel honored to be the pastor of Vanderbilt
Baptist Church in Tyler..

Greetings, dear friends. It truly seems that time flies. Another month has passed by ever so quickly. We at Meadowbrook have been busy this month. We have seen many new faces this month and one family is close to joining this blessed work. The Bible teaches that the fields are ready for the harvest. Please pray that our Lord will send more to labor for truly the harvest is great.
We thank all who support this work. Your prayers are coveted
so please continue to remember us in your prayers.

The month of October has been filled with wonderful blessings from God. We are continually amazed at how God continues to work in the hearts of those in our community.
We need your prayers and support now more than ever. Please consider the work in Grapevine as a part of your mission support. We have had one to join our work this month. Please pray for Lisa. We are preparing to launch our small group effort. Please pray for Bryan as he leads this effort. We are preparing for our vision casting sessions on November 5th. This will be an opportunity to share the vision of the mission through an experiential process.
The effort to acquire property in Grapevine continues. We completed an appraisal on the property. This will provide an insight into the actual value of the land and building. The Mission has made an official offer on the land and building that is in the heart of Grapevine. The land is sitting on one of the most highly traveled roads in the area. Please pray the Lord’s will in this situation.
We are reaching new families every week and we strongly believe
God has something big in store. Please keep Cornerstone in your
prayers. Our biggest need is prayer as we pursue the Lord’s
will with a property purchase. May the Lord bless.

Jesus is worth it all - He keeps us and we give Him glory for
His blessings. The Lord has sent several visitors, some who are
returning and are prospects. Attendance the 4th Sunday was 33,
41, 30, and one Wednesday 23. We have focused on children since
August. We had not really provided for them and now we have to
watch for balance.
Our long-time sponsoring church, Central of Bedford, is going
another direction - partly to focus on their Mission in Brighton,
CO. We dearly appreciate them giving us an opportunity and generous
financial support over an extended period. After some reverses
about three years ago which the Lord is gradually helping us to
come back from, we feel that we need about two more years as a
Mission.
We will not be a State Missionary of the MBA this year but we
are seeking sponsorship. When this is settled, we will continue
going forth on the first stage of permanent building. We have
prospects of a building, contractors and financing of at least
a more useable, attractive building than the modular building.
I am sure it is going to mean a great deal to our stability and
growth.
We appreciate the prayers and offerings from several churches
and friends this month. The offerings amounted to $1,105.00. We
are so thankful to the Lord and you all.
