I want to express my appreciation to each one who attended the third Texas State Missions Conference in Garland on April 25th. The speakers, Bro. Butch Roshto and Bro. Mike Prince, presented some very good information to those present. There were representatives from each area of our state; north, south, east, west and central. Some attended from close by and others drove a distance. Your presence for the Conference was an encouragement to others present.
I want to also express appreciation to the churches who helped sponsor the Conference and to New Liberty MBC for graciously allowing us to use their facilities again this year. The other sponsors were Eastfield MBC in Mesquite, Emmanual MBC in Greenville, and Unity MBC in Texarkana.
Plans are underway for the Missions Conference in 2007. The tentative date is April 24, 2007. Mark your calendar now.

April was another great month for the Emmanuel MBM. We set another high attendance of 13 on Easter Sunday. Our average attendance continues to grow at a slow but steady rate. We now have three families attending on a regular basis. We did have one family that missed part of the month due to travel but they are back with us now. We dismissed our services on April 30th to travel out to our sponsoring church, Twinland MBC in Houston, to hear a visiting missionary speak. This same evening we were able to visit with Bro. and Sis. Reed.
We are continuing to search for another meeting place and also for property to purchase. It is the plan of the mission to be able to start a building fund this month. We feel blessed to be able to do this after only meeting for four months.
We also have another young couple that is praying about joining with us. We are looking forward to another great month in May. We are anticipating another possible record high attendance on Mother's Day.
We will also be continuing to do our door-to-door outreach in the Sugar Land area. The ones that we talk to are still very receptive to the Gospel and to the fact that there is a Missionary Baptist Church in the area. Please continue to pray for us.

Bro. David Smith did a fantastic job at our first Faith Promise Missions Conference this month. It was great to see the commitment of the people. We are using Sunday evenings for our outreach. We've had new guests this month and some are prayerfully considering joining us. Easter Sunday brought a total of 67 to morning worship. Bro. Larry Frye and I are teaming up to knock on doors. This has been a tremendous blessing to both Denton and Irving.
The annual Texas Missions Conference at New Liberty BC in Garland brought great encouragement from Bro. Butch Roshto and Bro. Mike Prince.
God is at work in Irving and we are thankful to be a part of this.

"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again." Luke 6:38Greetings to all of our Brothers and Sisters in the Lord! The Mission had four to accept the Lord as Savior and we will baptize two on the 1st Sunday in May. There were ten that joined us at Hopewell during the month of April and we had an attendance high of 217 on Easter Sunday.
The Hopewell Mission video will be available soon and we hope to begin sending them to our churches in the very near future. We are excited about what God is doing in LaMarque and want to share our work with all that are interested. Again, we thank Bro. Jerry Smith for such awesome work on the video.
We were blessed to have Bro. Marion Reed and Sis. Nancy visiting with us last Sunday. I know how many requests they have for visits and feel so grateful to have them come and share with us at Hopewell. I look forward to working with Bro. Reed as we prepare to move forward with our building project.
Our 2006 building fund campaign is well underway. Thanks to those who contribute regularly, as well as the one-time donations. Please continue to partner with us financially and prayerfully as we endeavor to reach our new goal of 100K. The Lord provides.
As always, I am grateful to Mission Bend BC of Houston, Calvary MBC of Baytown, Florida Avenue BC of Beaumont and Baker Drive BC of Dickinson for your continued support. I want to thank you for making this Mission possible. Without you, and others like you, without the monetary gifts and prayers for this Mission, we could not do the work that we do for Christ. I say this with much love and an abundance of blessings.

Greetings from North Lake Baptist Mission. There were two saved door knocking. One of these was led to the Lord by one of our church members. Bro. Larry Chalker and I are still having a wonderful time door knocking together. Bro. Larry has a wonderful family coming that is a direct result of our visitation program. The Lord does bless our efforts.
The family that united with us last month is doing great! They have already taken over several duties in the church and are doing as excellent job. Bro. Ed is a preacher, also. I am excited about the possibilities.
The Hispanic congregation is doing great. They have called a Missionary/Pastor. He was able to be with them this past Sunday. They are such a blessing to have in the building. We are getting to know each other better. We have a short fellowship on Sunday mornings before the service starts. They are paying for half of the rent and utilities. We feel blessed to have met them. This came from door knocking. I believe door knocking does pay off! They had an average of 34 for Sunday morning. Please continue to pray for them.
Bro. Jerry Smith from Unity MBC in Texarkana did an excellent job filming and editing a soul winning DVD that we put together. It consists of four simple lessons with a practical application at the end of each session. It also comes with a printable work book on CD that is now in Spanish and English. It also has a printable flash card for the soul winners quick reference. We are asking for a donation of $75.00 for this program. If you want this soul winning program and cannot afford it, please let me know and we will send it to you free of charge. All funds will go toward our building and other Missions. This is meant to be a tool to assist our busy pastors and teachers to sharpen their people skills in the art of soul winning. I can just imagine what would happen in the American Baptist Association Churches if every member became a great soul winner. I believe that is possible. One of our members has used this program to lead two persons to Christ. Her comment was that she couldn't believe it was so easy. Call or email me if you are interested. Thank you very much.
Thanks again for all that you do. You are all such a blessing to us. The Lord has surely put us together. May the Lord bless your service for him.

Vanderbilt Baptist Church observed her 7th anniversary on April 9th with a special service and lunch after the morning service. Pastor Gene Gardner of Bethel MBC in New Waverly preached the morning message and Bro. Jim Slocumb with TMD preached in the afternoon. We had 65 present for the morning service with others coming in for lunch and the afternoon service.
I spent more than three weeks in the hospital during March and April. I was able to be back in the pulpit the last two Sundays of April. I am doing much better and getting stronger every day. We have several preachers in our church and they took care of the Sunday and Wednesday services for me. These brethren have been a great blessing to me during my illness.
Also, I want to thank all of you who called, visited and sent me cards, but I cherish your prayers above all. If you are ever in Tyler you are always welcome to call me or come by for a visit.

Greetings from all the folks at Meadowbrook. April was an exciting month for us. We had 82 in service on Easter Sunday, not counting the 15 who were present for a special sunrise service. God is great! All our people are looking forward to see what the Lord has in store for us in the month of May. Please pray for Meadowbrook that we will continue to be a light to all our neighbors in the surrounding community. We are knocking doors and telling all how wonderful God is. Truly it is a blessing to be a part of this work. May God bless and keep all of you.

The work in Grapevine is growing in a mighty way. We are excited about how the Lord continues to work in the hearts of those in this community.
April Highlights: We had two from the Mission work join the Medical Missions International (MMI) trip to Mexico. We have four registered to go on the MMI Mission trip to Tanzania in September. We are preparing for baptism services on May 7th and May 21st for the seven who have accepted Christ. Each Sunday the attendance continues to grow. We have had seven visiting families in April. We have reached capacity in our building. Our plans to move in mid-summer may need to be re-visited. A property has come available for sale in the immediate area. The property has two-4,000 sq. ft. buildings. It is currently being used as a manufacturing facility.
The cost is approximately $720,000.00.
We are making our final travel plans for the ABA Messenger meeting in Daytona Beach in June. We look forward to seeing everyone at our booth.
Please allow me to share blessings of the work in Grapevine at your church. At this time we are available to share the work with your church. Our biggest need is prayer as we seek a new meeting location and building funds. May the Lord bless each of you.

April has been a month of blessings for the missionary couple as well as for Crossroads Mission.
Among the personal blessings was the opportunity to be blessed by the April church planting seminar. Also, I have been invited to preach on May 2nd at the 150th Anniversary Celebration of Pleasant Hill MBC on Route 1 in Overton. Some members from Crossroads will attend with me.
Though we are showing no one saved, baptized or added this month, the Lord sent 40+ visitors to our services during this period; some of which have returned and there are definitely prospects among them. Average attendance thus increased some. Our Wednesday evening classes averaged 20 in attendance. Also, the Lord blessed with the second best month's regular offerings from Crossroads and $3,185.00 was contributed by members for the building fund which now stands at $22,707.00. Too, we gave at least $560.00 for family aid this month. I personally went to more than 30 homes visiting and witnessing and several ladies went with my wife, Billie, and delivered plants to new move-ins.
We are ready to get the first stage of our permanent buildings up. We will appreciate you praying about this and consideration of our request for the 3rd quarter funds from Texas Mission Development. Also, if it is possible, and the Lord directs, we will be most grateful for offerings you can send
We do a lot of requesting and we thankfully have received great blessings from the Lord with some of you as the generous instruments. We received $1,333.00 from other churches for the Mission, above that sent by the Treasurer for the Missionary/Pastor. God bless you!
