Fiscal year 2005-2006 is history as of August 31st. Have we accomplished for the Lord what we should have? Probably not, but it has been a good year in many ways. Nancy and I have enjoyed our privilege of visiting with the churches and missions in the state of Texas. We are always graciously received. That is a blessing from God. .

I appreciate so much the faithfulness of our churches and missions to continue to generously send offerings for the MBA missionaries and projects. The churches have been faithful and God is always faithful. Thank you so very much.

We are in the process of receiving requests for support from missions and projects for the year 2006-2007. The deadline for those requests is September 15th. Next month this article will let you know the names and projects the sponsoring churches have requested support for. Please pray that the decisions the messengers make in November will be for the honor and glory of God.

"Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he would send forth laborers into his harvest."

Total Church Offering $712.34 Gave To Missions $66.23 Paid For Rent $1,800.00

We are finally settled into our new building. It has been a very exciting time for the members of Emmanuel and for our sponsoring church as well. The first Sunday of the month we were blessed with a first time visitor that had seen our sign and "just wanted to see what was going on." We have been able to visit with her a little bit. We also had other visitors that have shown an interest in the church. My wife, Misty, and I were able to share the gospel with two young ladies that work on the other end of the building from our location. They asked a lot of questions and seemed very concerned about their eternal salvation but were not ready to accept the Lord yet. We are continuing to work with them. They have said that they will be attending services with us in the near future. They are also allowing us to place plan of salvation tracts in their business which is a blessing to us as well. We held an outreach emphasis day on Saturday, August, 26th. That day we were blessed with heavy rainfall but were still able to make over 500 visits between the drops. We continue to negotiate with sign companies about a lighted sign for the facing of the building. This will cost us between $4,000 and $5,000. We must have this sign installed to fulfill the terms of our lease. Any offerings toward this would be greatly appreciated. We also continue surveying property on which to build. We have found a few sites but have not pursued any of them as yet. We continue to be excited about the souls that we are reaching for the Lord in this area. Please continue praying for us as we serve the Lord on this field that continues to be white unto harvest. I would love to share what we are doing with any who are interested. Please call me at 713-492-4837. I have a video that I can send you or I would love to schedule an appointment to come tell more churches about this field and what God is doing here.

Total Church Offering $2,089.35 Gave To Missions $300.00

God is so good! As one member says, "It's amazing to watch new people trickle in each week." We will begin a basic doctrine class the first Sunday in September. Our main need right now is a man to help us with the Spanish people. With 51 percent Spanish, we want to see God working here. Pray with us that God will give us someone to help with this much needed ministry.

One member has taken on the responsibility of a food pantry for the needy. Our ladies are still studying on Tuesday evenings. They are growing spiritually with these lessons in Genesis.

Thanks to everyone who is praying for Northgate. We want to shine the light of Jesus in Irving

Matthew 4:19-20 "And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And they straightway left their nets and followed him."

Greetings! There were 3 saved through the efforts of the Mission during August and 14 additions. Thanks are to our Lord for such an awesome response to the preaching of the gospel.

Now that the children are back in school and family vacations are over we are starting to see our attendance increase again. We are still seeing a number of first time visitors. We are praying that we have found the answer to our overcrowding situation. The church building located in our area that we attempted to purchase last year is now in foreclosure and is back on the market. This building is located on approximately 4 acres of land and has 7,000 sq. ft. with a seating capacity of 275-300. We have an opportunity to buy this building for $329K which is far better than the $400K they were asking last year. This property is fully furnished but will need a few minor repairs prior to our using it. We are excited that this property is still available. Pray with us as we ask for our Lord's leading with the financing of this property.

We were saddened by the loss of one of our members. Bro. Ernest Bogan went home to be with our Lord on August 21st. Bro. Ernest was a very dedicated teacher of our Men's Sunday School as well as one of our trustees. He will be sorely missed and we ask for your prayers for this brother's family and our Hopewell family. God is faithful.

Thanks to those who contribute regularly, as well as give one-time donations. Please continue to partner with us prayerfully and financially as we endeavor to reach our new goal of $100K. The Lord provides. As always, I am grateful to Mission Bend BC of Houston, Calvary MBC of Baytown, Florida Avenue BC of Beaumont and Baker Drive BC of Dickinson for your continued support. Without you, and others like you, without the monetary gifts and prayers for this Mission, we could not do the work that we do for Christ. I say this with much love and an abundance of blessings.

We have seen two Hispanics and four English-speakers saved this month! Praise the Lord! Two of these were a woman in her sixties and her mother who was over eighty. They have both been members of another denomination for many years and had never experienced the new birth. Another one was a lady in Gainesville, TX where Bro. Todd Gray is pastor. Bro. Candy and I went there by request of Bro. Gray to visit in the Hispanic neighborhood. When we knocked on a door the lady who answered was one that I had shared the Gospel with a year ago at a Home Depot in Denton where she was employed. She has since moved to Gainesville and was still lost. She is now a child of the King! Isn't it amazing how long suffering our Lord is for the lost and how He directs people to witness to us. I am sure glad He directed Bro. Jimmy Rodgers to witness to me over 25 years ago. I am also glad that he followed the Lord's directions! The lost are everywhere and they are white for the harvest. Praise the Lord!

Bro. Candy Espinosa and I are getting very close. He is a great soul winner and a great help to me. We are having English and Spanish classes on Monday nights. It is sure a blessing to work with them. They are learning English fast. I wish I could say the same for my Spanish. I have recently discovered that Bro. Candy is only receiving $600.00 per month for his salary. He is here on a religious visa and is only supposed to labor in that field. We have voted to give him $50.00 per month and Springer MBC has voted to give him $100.00 per month. I am praying that we can get his salary up to at least $1,200.00 per month very quickly. If you could please consider helping this man it would be a blessing. Right now you can send any offerings to my address designated to Bro. Candy Espinosa. Thank you so very much.

Bro. Candy and I will be starting a jail ministry soon. We have to take a four hour class on Sept. 16th and then we will commence. There is not one true Hispanic church visiting in the jail. There are only Catholic priests. What a great opportunity for us. Please pray about this.

Dear Sister Churches, we are still in need of a sponsoring church. The MBA meets in November and we need to have something in place before then. Is there a great mission-minded church out there that wants to take on this project for the Lord? If your church might be interested in this please give me a call at 940-482-5929 or 940-453-2189. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for all your support and prayers. We love you very much!

August was a better month for us. Our attendance has increased, school has started and our people are excited about our church. The Lord blessed us with one addition. We know she will be a blessing to the Lord's work in South Tyler. We have other visitors attending and some are good prospects. We are expecting them to unite with us soon.

Our Discovery Club will be starting again in September. This has been a great blessing to our mission. The teachers are doing a wonderful job teaching the word of God. Also, the children are excited about studying God's word and learning more about Him.

Please continue to pray for us. We would love for you to come and worship with us anytime you have an opportunity.

Greetings from Meadowbrook to our friends. August was a month of blessings. On Aug. 5th

we organized into a New Testament Church. We would like to say thank you to all who have supported this work and would ask you to continue to pray for us. We were blessed with one hundred eighteen friends and members who attended the organizational service. Our sponsoring church, First MBC of Duncanville, and Pastor David Forgason presented Meadowbrook with a special gift that day. They paid the property loan in full! WOW! God is good. We are continuing

to see great things and are looking forward to seeing everyone at the state meeting in November.

Sunday School 47 Morning Worship 47

Total Church Offering $11,164.25 Gave To Missions $1,750.00 Paid For Rent $750.00

The month of August has been filled with wonderful blessings from God. We are continually amazed at how God continues to work in the hearts of those in our community.

AUGUST HIGHLIGHTS: Cornerstone celebrated her 2nd year as a Mission in the Grapevine community on August 13th. Thank you to all who joined us for this special service.

We had one child accept Christ as Savior as a result of Vacation Bible School. We also had another join the work.

We are diligently seeking a permanent location for meeting on Sundays. We have located a property that is available for $500,000.00 on two acres of land. This land is in the heart of the Grapevine community. Please lift this situation up in your prayers. Please consider making a donation to our building fund.

Jerry Smith, International Media Service, has completed an overview of the Mission work in DVD format. If you would like a copy, please let me know. We are also preparing an outreach video. Thank you, Bro. Jerry, for this great ministry.

We are continuing our church vision discussions. This will allow us to unify our efforts to reach people for Christ in our community. We have four registered to go on the Medical Missions International (MMI) mission trip in September. Please pray for Larry, Bego, Heather and Kevin.

YOU CAN HELP THE WORK IN GRAPEVINE. We are reaching new families every week and we strongly believe God has something big in store. Please keep Cornerstone in your prayers.

At this time we are available to share the work with your church. Our biggest need is prayer, as we seek a meeting location, and building funds.

Sunday School 32 Morning Worship 42 Evening Worship 18

Total Church Offering $3,064.00 Gave To Missions $180.00 Paid For Rent $1,600.00

The month of August was a busy, rewarding and promising month at Crossroads. About 25 very interested people were enthusiastically involved in a series of meetings during the month planning and preparing for what we are expecting to be a fruitful ministry of Bible Clubs for the children and youth. Saturday, August 26th, a block party and "feed" was held to promote the "kickoff" for the Clubs on Sunday, August 27th. About 75-80 people came to the block party. On Sunday evening, 28 were present for a great time of learning and music. Also, there were 57 present for Sunday morning worship.

We are thankful for Bro. and Mrs. George Haynes who have moved to the area and are now a part of our membership. They are already working and contributing to the life of our fellowship. They are already engaged in the choir.

A hundred and forty dollars was added to our building fund in August. Plans toward being in a building program right away are progressing. We are looking forward to that. In addition to the $1,654.00 from the MBA for salary, the Mission received $1,271.69 from dear friends and churches across the state.
