It is hard to believe it has been a year since we took on the work of the Secretary/Treasurer. God has been so good to Nancy and me in providing health and time to do the work. It has been a great joy going to the different churches and visiting with friends and making new acquaintances. The churches have responded to provide abundantly. We are so thankful to all who have responded to our need. I would ask that you continue your prayers for us. Also, be much in prayer for the special study committee as we seek recommendations to improve our state mission work. We plan to have recommendations that will be presented in our next messenger meeting. If you have any suggestions for us to consider please mail them to me at Marion Reed P.O. 450813, Garland, TX 75045-0813. All suggestions will be studied in consideration of recommended changes.
Plans have been completed for the Texas Missions Conference to be held April 22nd and 23rd . Pastor Ken Ashlock of New Liberty BC in Garland has graciously offered their facilities for the meeting. They are close to the 1-635 freeway in Garland. Several motels and restaurants are nearby. We have made arrangements with the La Quinta Inn for special rates of $40 per room. This rate will be guaranteed up to April 7th and you can share a room with no extra charge. They are located near I-635 at Northwest Hwy. in Garland. I would like to encourage all pastors, missionaries, and interested church members to attend. The registration fee includes a continental breakfast and a catered lunch. Make checks payable to MBA of Texas Mission Conf. and send to P.O. Box 450813 Garland, TX 75045-0813. I want to thank the churches who are sponsoring this conference and providing the funds. They are Eastfield MBC of Mesquite, Tanglewood MBC of Atlanta, Emmanuel MBC of Greenville, Fairhaven MBC of Mesquite, Calvary MBC of Henderson, South Union MBC of Daingerfield, Heritage MBC of Missouri City, and New Liberty MBC of Garland. Please make your plans to come and expect great encouragement for doing more mission work in the great state of Texas.

Paid on Rent $1,600.00 Sunday School 23 Morning Worship 30 Evening Worship12 Holiday and sickness woes affect all churches this time of year. Crossroads is certainly no exception. But, on the positive side, it makes me really appreciate the faithful members! One of the new, large grocery stores in the area allowed us to use their lobby to sing Christmas carols and hand out greetings from our church. We were well received. We also helped a family in the area who was in deep need. Acres and acres of dirt are being moved across the street from us on the North side. Roads are laid out and home sites marked for hundreds more homes. Walls are up on the new school just a mile east of us. The city of Crowley, which is just about a mile south of us, has platted for 20,000 new homes. Folks, we need your help in getting our building built! This is a golden opportunity for a strong ABA work if we don't get too far behind in the growth boom going on around us. $45 per square foot is what we're asking you and/or your church to contribute. As we've mentioned before, we have a huge square foot bank in our sanctuary where we drop in loose change or bills. At the end of each month, we empty it and see how many square feet it will buy. In December, we purchased 5! Change adds up and our kids love dropping all the change in for us. We've set a goal of getting 10 new families by July. Please pray that God will lead us to those people and reaching our goal. Deep, heart-felt thanks to those of you who have responded and bought square feet, and to those who support us faithfully. May God richly bless you in 2004.We received a total of $1223 from other churches.

We were blessed this month to have seen God’s hand work in four souls being saved! There were two children saved at church from our bus ministry and two adults from door knocking. Our bus kids sure do a great job of getting their friends to hear the gospel. I wish everyone were like that.
The city has put another obstacle in our path. They are now trying to make us put a left hand turning lane and a right hand turning lane into our property. This is what I tried to get them to do two years ago before they built the new road. Now that the road is finished it would probably cost $100,000.00 to do this. I really believe that Satan is trying to shut us down. He can see the impact that this church is having and will have on this community. It is amazing at the souls in this city that have never heard the plan of salvation. I have never seen people respond to the gospel as I have in the last several months. There have also been five Hispanics saved this month and one of them was a Catholic priest. You can read more about this in Brother Rodriguez report. It is our goal to get the gospel into every home in this city. I do have a secret weapon in you. If you would just stop for 60 seconds each day and say a special prayer for us, I know that it will all work out. Thank you in advance for your special prayers. We are having a meeting with the city to come up with a solution to this problem. May the Lord’s will be done in this.
I know that you are getting tired of hearing about trees and bricks but we still need a lot of help on these projects. All I know to do is to ask God’s people for help. It has always worked in the past. We have found out that we only have to have fifty 3 inch trees now. I have a solid cost for them. We can buy them and have them planted with a one year guarantee for $120.00 each. The bricks are still $5.00 each or ten for $50.00 while supplies last. Thank you very much.
We have many wonderful churches that support us on a regular monthly basis and several that send us special offerings. We sure thank the Lord for your faithful support. You are very special to us.

What we are thinking about down here in Round Rock is organization in 2004. There is one way that we can make sure that this would happen. If we could get our monthly payment down to around $1000 per month, we could organize. If we could receive the TMD funds, and with money we have on hand, we could pay down and refinance our loan from the bank, then the organization would be a sure thing. Please pray that we are able to organize soon.
Hope you have a great 2004! Sponsored by Modoc MBC of Athens; David Dawson, pastor.

December was truly a great month here at the Mission. We had a soul saved, a membership moved and 4 wonderful children from our Discovery program baptized. Then top this off with the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and I can’t think of a more wonderful Christmas. We thank all of you for your prayers and support and we, along with you, have high hopes for the new year. Pray with us and may God bless you all.
Pilot Point MBM is kicking off a new campaign. We call it the "$10 A Month, Come To Our Aid Program." We know how hard it is for churches to support every missionary that goes on the field and we know that we would all like to support everyone of them with a significant sum of money to carry out the work God has given them, but we can’t. That’s why we came up with the $10/month program. 1. Ten people can give $1 per month 2. Five people can give $2 per month 3. Two people can give $5 4. One person can give $10 Seems pretty simple, doesn’t it? Since there are over 300 churches that are in the MBA of TX if every church in the association gave $10 each month you probably would never have to listen to me ask for money again. What a deal! We will send a personal copy of our report to anyone who wishes to support us on a monthly basis. Please come to our aid. God Bless You All.
