"This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes." Psalms 118:23 As we begin a new year and reflect on the past, we must understand that this is the Lord’s doing. The churches are continuing to provide funds for Texas State Missions and we need to be concerned about how we use what He has provided for us. I feel sure that God has an awesome plan for the funds He has given to us. I am excited about what He might have planned. We all know that He does have a plan for use of the money. I feel sure that He wants us to use the money to establish new churches in the developing areas of our state to bring honor and glory to Him. That is what Mission work is all about!
The Second Texas State Missions Conference will be held on April 21st and 22nd at the facilities of
New Liberty Baptist Church, located at 333 West Centerville Road in Garland. Speakers are as follows: "Understanding And Implementing Faith Promise Mission Giving" Harold Williams of Florida, "Creating and Casting Vision For Leadership" Raymond McAlister of Florida, "Growing The Church Through Practical Methods That Work" Butch Roshto of Alabama, "Planting Churches in America" John Sanders of Colorado, "Building A Church Staff With Shared Ministry" Mike Evans of Texas, "Preparing To Reach The People Around You" David Smith of Texas. Brochures will be mailed to all the churches soon. The brochures will also contain information about lodging.
I will be happy to visit your church and local Mission Rallies, etc. to represent Texas State Missions. Let me hear from you.
"Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that He will send forth laborers into His field."

Many thanks to all our supporters within the Missionary Baptist Association. It is hard to believe that Christmas is over and the New Year has arrived. Last year proved to be a wonderful experience for our Mission and we thank God for His wonderful grace and the many blessings given us. There were many challenges also and many remain, but by the grace of God the year 2005 will be just as rewarding as last and many more will be brought to a saving faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Please continue to pray for us as we have identified a piece of property, approx. 3.9 acres of land with a 7,000 sq. ft. building, that is for sale in our area. This would really be a blessing for us and would allow us to continue in our growth. The facility will seat about 275. The group selling the property has set the asking price somewhat high and we have offered them significantly less. Pray that the negotiations will work out for our best and that through it all our Lord’s will be done. I will update you as the process unfolds. I am recovering fine from the back surgery and have started back working on my job. Thanks for the many prayers. Again, many thanks to Mission Bend BC, Woodville MBC Ladies Auxiliary, Calvary MBC of Baytown, Unity MBC of Richwood , Florida Avenue BC of Beaumont and Baker Drive BC of Dickinson for your continued support. Thank you so much for considering our Mission.

Christmas was good! I think it is my favorite time of the year, other than the fact that God’s people are going in every direction. Hopefully now we can settle down again. Finances are not where they need to be and probably will not be until we are where we need to be in Christ. May the Lord bless you. As always, we appreciate your prayers, love and support. We had one young girl saved last month. Her S.S. teacher, Linda Roberts, led her to the Lord. That gets exciting when you see your people lead someone to Christ. That is what it is all about! The Mayor of Denton told one of our church members that she did not want to see any more churches built in Denton while she is Mayor. Her term is not up for three more years. She does
not like churches not paying taxes. This could sure make it tough on us trying to start a building program. Please pray about this. The water line is still a big obstacle for us. We have not got any further with this. Please continue to pray about this. We are still trying to get into a larger place in the mall that we meet in. We are having a restroom issue now. This facility shares some centrally located restrooms for the entire complex. We will be located 800 feet from them and the regulation says that we must be 500 feet or less. We have filed for a variance. We will find out something on January 20th. Please pray about this. I want to give all of you a special thanks from North Lake. You are such a blessing to us. I thank the Lord for your faithfulness. I pray that you all have a great and prosperous New Year.

I can’t tell you how wonderful this Christmas season has been for us here at Pilot Point MBM. Our hearts and minds were geared for reaching out to those who were needy and less fortunate than we by going to the local nursing home and singing Christmas hymns for the wonderful residents. The children from the Discovery classes colored paper angels to give to each of the residents as a memorial of our visit and they were so thankful to them. With hugs and kisses the residents asked us to come back as soon as we could and sing some more. The children, after being loaded into the church van, were so excited asking me to let them do more things like this. They truly loved making these wonderful folks happy with their visiting and they wanted to do more. Thank God for such wonderful witnesses for our Lord Jesus Christ, showing the love that identifies us as true Disciples of Christ. Pray for us as we continue to reach the lost of our community. Also, the unchurched. Pray that the Lord would touch the hearts of the parents of the children in our Discovery classes that they might be convicted and attend church. Pray for me as I continue to lead this mission forward in accomplishing the mission set forth to us by our Lord Jesus Christ in His great commission. Pray for Cedar Creek MBC , our sponsoring church, as they come along side us to help us in our endeavors. I thank God for those, my brothers and sisters in Christ, for all they do. To all those faithful givers, I give special thanks and blessings to you all for your support for without you we could not have come this far. May God continue to bless you into the next year and again thank you so very much for your generous offerings. God bless you all in Jesus’ name.

God’s word tells us we have not because we ask not. Your prayers are needed into this new year, as well as your continued support. Our mortgage on the property is now below $43,000. This would not have been achieved without outside help from our sister churches. In this new year, I am making a plea to the churches of the ABA. Is helping one of our Lord’s churches to become debt free and organized worth $25.00 a week for ten months? Forty committed churches is all it would take to achieve this goal. Pray about it!

December was a good month for Crossroads. We enjoyed lots of good fellowship, plus our attendance stayed consistent in spite of weather, sickness and Christmas holidays. We were blessed with a visit from Bro. Robert Myers and his wife, Carol, from Gambrils, Maryland. He brought the morning message for us with a challenge to keep the faith that God will finish what He has started here at Crossroads. We’re looking forward to the blessings the Lord brings our way in 2005. Once again, we’re so thankful for you who are faithful with your support in prayers and offerings. We received a total of $3,030.00 from other churches. May God richly bless you in 2005.
