Thank you so much for your continued support of our State Mission Program. At the same time you are supporting the Missionaries, I trust that you are praying for them.
Resurrection Sunday will be on April 9th this year. This is the time set by the MBA of TX to receive a special offering for State Missions. The general fund is in good condition so
I want to suggest that we have the special offering for a land fund for the MBA. Several pastors have asked me about starting a land fund and it seems this would be a good way to start. Please keep this date in mind and there will be more information available in a later issue of The Baptist Monitor.
Jerry Smith, ABA International Media Service, has created a DVD of the presentation of the State Missionary requests for support that was given at the MBA of TX in Mt. Pleasant. If you would like a copy of this DVD to share with your church, please let me know. It runs about 15 minutes.
If you would like for the Secretary/Treasurer to visit your Church, Youth Rally, Mission Rally, etc. please let me know.
"Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he will send forth laborers into his harvest."

Sunday School and Worship - Did not meet in December
Paid $875.00 for rent
During the month of December we were finally able to complete the leasing agreement for our temporary meeting space. We will be paying $875.00 per month for use on Sundays. This building is used during the week by a day care center. We are excited to report that we have already had our first official service as of the submitting of this report. On January 1, 2006, we had 9 for Sunday School and Morning Worship and 8 for our Evening Worship. One family has said they are considering joining with us. We have also had our first "walk-in" visitor who said that she enjoyed the service and would certainly be back. Please pray for us as we plant this new church in Sugarland, TX.

We've seen different faces and this has been encouraging. Even though we are sad to see our Youth Minister and his family go, we are seeing God work in other areas and we're excited about what He will do in 2006. The ladies are enjoying their Tuesday evening Bible study and are planning a Sunday morning breakfast for outreach. Please pray for the work in Irving as we strive to reach souls. Come visit with us!

"But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." 1 Cr. 2:9
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. December was another exciting month for the Mission. There were nine additions including two for salvation. A family from New Orleans, the Carroll's, after visiting with us for several week has joined. This family was displaced as a result of Hurricane Katrina and we are blessed to have them become a part of the Mission. Our attendance for morning services remains high and we are still welcoming a number of first time guests each Sunday.
Our first Christmas banquet was a huge success with 90 folks attending and our Children's Christmas program was equally successful. On Christmas morning we had over 150 in attendance. I thank God for His favor in blessing our efforts.
The New Year is here and we pray that 2006 will prove to be as active and rewarding as last. There were some challenges but God delivered us in them all. We also pray that God will continue to guide to us men and women seeking a relationship with Jesus Christ. Pray with us and for us as we increase our outreach efforts this year.
Welcome to all of the new State Missionary Pastors. Our prayers are with you and your congregations. We also covet your prayers for our work in LaMarque. Pray that the Lord would continue to guide us and reveal to us a clear path forward as we continue our search for land and/or a larger facility. We extend our appreciation to Mission Bend BC of Houston, Calvary MBC of Baytown, Unity MBC of Richwood, Florida Avenue BC of Beaumont and Baker Drive BC of Dickinson for your continued support. Thank you for considering our Mission.

We had one saved door knocking. Praise the Lord! This was a 17 year old boy. This was a very special conversion because it was the first time that Jeana Wesson (my daughter) had ever led anyone to Christ. She had finished our soul winning program and had been on visitation several times but this was the first time she was able to lead someone to Christ. I believe she was as excited as he was. Please pray for the follow-ups with him.
We could sure use your help with the dirt work. It does not matter if you are an operator or not. I can teach you how to run this equipment in five minutes. We have a water truck, a dozer, a grader and a front-end loader. I just need someone that will give up some of their time. I have a place for you to stay and we will feed you good. We can have some great fellowship also. We have moved about 1/3 of the dirt that needs to be moved. Please call me if you can help.
We are closer that we have ever been to getting a water line put in. The new route has been submitted to the City for their approval. The next step will be to get easements from three property owners that we must cross with the line. I don't foresee any problems there.
I want to thank our supporters. Your support is what makes it all possible. We will eventually see a church here if we faint not. Please continue to pray for us. We appreciate your prayers!

I count it an honor to serve as a State Missionary. It is my desire to establish a self-supporting church as quickly as possible. The Lord blessed us with two additions by letter since becoming a State Missionary. The Lord continues to bless us with visitors. It is my prayer that God will lay upon their hearts to unite with us.
Our young people presented a great Christmas program on Christmas morning, Dec. 25th. Also, our choir blessed us with traditional Christmas hymns. We had 61 for this service.
We need additional paved parking. This is a good problem to have and we do have a parking lot fund established. It will cost approximately $23,500.00 for the parking lot. If anyone could help with this special need, your offerings will be appreciated. We received $1,975.45 from other churches and individuals this month. Thank you for your prayers and support.

The Lord continues to bless the work in Grapevine. Attendance is averaging 40 and we have had two visiting families over the past month. In January we are launching our outreach into the community. This will include TV and newspaper advertising followed by visitation. Please pray for this effort that hearts will be prepared.
Darren Speed is now leading our worship music. He is an answer to many prayers. He is doing an outstanding job and we look forward to his ministry leadership in the area of music.
We are actively preparing ourselves for small group studies. We have three homes that have been opened during the week. We are able to reach into neighborhoods with God's Word with much more success.
We are glad to be a part of God's plan for the Grapevine community. Please continue to pray for the work and we thank you for all the support.

In our November report, we anticipated that attendance would be down in December because of the announced absences of several traveling families. It didn't happen that way. The remaining families had members who came with them. Also, local visitors and prospects came - all of these numerous enough that our attendance increased from November.
You will note that we show one baptism. This person and one other are actually awaiting baptism until our baptistry heater is repaired.
New families with children are attending. Classes are expanding. Groundwork for a new housing addition adjacent to our fence line has nearly been completed. We need to be building. With $125,000.00 cash, we believe that payments on a building of the size and arrangement we are thinking would be feasible in a short time for our people. There is about $22,000.00 in our building fund at the present time. We are going to ask Central BC of Bedford, our sponsoring church, to request TMD and IMD funds for us. We are aware that there are other mission works that are just as prospective and deserving. Our request would be, "Just prayerfully consider us."
Please download our website - "crossroadsbaptistfortworth.com" - to see pictures of the new development and other things of interest around our location.
The interest, love, prayers and contributions of ABA churches and other friends, predominately Missionary Baptist Association of Texas folks, has been beyond our ability to properly thank you. We will try anyhow. Thank you and the Lord very, very much and God bless you all! We received $1,375.50 in offerings from sister churches and other friends.
