Thank you so much for your continued support of State Missions. I am so thankful to be part of a group of true New Testament Churches that are indeed interested in getting the gospel to "every creature" in our state and in the world.

By the time you read this, the Special Committee on State Missions will have had our first formal meeting to pray about and review the suggestions that you have submitted to the Committee. We, the Committee, want to come up with a plan that will greatly improve our Missions Program in a way that will bring great honor and glory to God. Please send your suggestions, either by email or USPS, to anyone on the Committee. They are Brethren Roy Culley, Ricky Knight, Elvin Crocker, Billy Daniels, and Marion Reed.

We have two important events coming up in April. RESURRECTION SUNDAY will be on Easter, April 11th. I hope each church will have the opportunity to give a special offering to State Missions. If you cannot give it on April 11th, do it when you can. God will bless it anytime.

TEXAS MISSIONS CONFERENCE will be on Thursday, April 22nd and Friday, April 23rd. If you have not registered by this time, it is important that you do so. We need to know how many will attend so we can properly prepare for the materials to be given out and for the food to be served. The Conference information is available on the web page, mbaoftexas.org.

If you would like for me to visit your church, please let me know and I will be happy to arrange for a visit. "Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest." (Luke 10:2b)

The Hopewell MBM of LaMarque would like to thank all of the many congregations that offer prayers and support to us on a regular basis. The work in LaMarque is truly being blessed and it is really an exciting time to be a Missionary for Christ. The Mission continues to experience growth and interest in our Kingdom building activities. Each week we have the opportunity to share Christ with a number of visitors and many have rededicated their lives to our Lord and joined us on the mission field. Our membership has grown to over 60 and on the fourth Sunday of February we had 107 in attendance. Praise God! Please continue to pray for our mission and the many souls we reach daily. We also need prayer regarding a permanent place to call home. We are currently sharing facilities with Heritage Baptist Institute but because of the awesome response to the gospel we are anticipating the need for a larger place to worship. Currently our needs are parking lot expansion, sound equipment and some roof repairs. Thank you to Florida Avenue MBC, Woodville MBC Ladies Aux., Calvary MBC of Baytown, Unity MBC and Baker Drive Baptist Church for your continued support. Beginning in May, I am available for deputation work and would love to come and share with you and your congregation. .

Total Church Offering $3,380.00 Given To Missions $180.00 Paid on Rent $1600.00

February was a busy month for the mission with a lot of good fellowship and bonding with each other. We also had several first time visitors throughout the month. One of our members opened his tax office in a brand new shopping area near Crossroads. A lady that just opened her business next door to his has invited him to place information about his business in a door hanger envelope she distributes for her company. He told her about Crossroads and she said we could place information in the envelope also. She "hangs" 1500 of them each week. This is truly a blessing from the Lord! It will cost us about $50.00 each week to get that many printed, we’ll try to pick and choose the weeks and areas we participate in. This will get information into the homes surrounding us much faster than we can do it by door knocking. Our square foot campaign continues to increase "one square foot at a time." Thanks to all of you who have responded. We received a total of $1,396.71 from other churches, plus $827.00 for our square foot campaign. Continue to pray for the mission work here in Fort Worth.

On February 15th we were privileged to have Bro. Bill and Sis. Rita Johnson with us to share their ministry, International Christian Publishers. On February 22nd we had Matthew Knight and family with us representing Philippine Missions. The Texas Avenue Baptist family is growing in interest and support of missions and we give our Savior all the glory. We continue to have guests each week in our services. We are thankful for the opportunity to reach out to these folks with the truth. We also continue to see spiritual growth in the members of TABC. This is so exciting and encouraging. Thanks to each of you who support State Missions through the office of Secretary/

Treasurer. The Reeds are doing a wonderful job and we thank the Lord.

We were blessed with three additions this month; two by baptism and one by letter. Bro. Gary Orr’s daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Steve Pitts, united with us. We are sure excited about that. The other one was Diana Hagar. She is a mother of three. We are sure glad to have her with us also. Pray for these new members. I am always excited to share with you those precious souls that have trusted Christ as Savior. This is always the highlight of any report for me. While out door knocking we were privileged to see four accept Christ as Savior. Praise the Lord! I do believe the hardest thing for a missionary to do is raise money. God has called him to build a church and he must go out and gather the material to construct the building. I love door knocking. I love preaching. I love ministering to the Lord’s people. I love building a building that will be a shining light for the Lord, but I don’t like having to ask for money. We know that it goes along with the job of building a church. I haven’t found a better way of doing this than asking God’s people for help. We have seen many souls saved since we have been here and there are many more to reach. This city has 750-1500 people moving in every month according to the water company. We don’t have an ABA or BMA church in this city. We need a good sound, soul winning church here, my friends. I have spoken to many pastors on the phone these past few weeks and have had some very good response. I thank you pastors for your encouragement. I sure enjoyed talking to you for that brief time. Thank you so much for your consideration in this matter. I would like to thank the pastors of the churches that have always been faithful to support us for the past four years. May the Lord richly bless you is my prayer.

I know that things are tough all over, but we have certainly had our fair share of sickness this past month. Please remember these in your prayers - Margaret Hammer, Frank Homesley, and David and Cathy Anderson. These folks really need the healing touch of the Lord. The Lord, even in the midst of cancer and lung disease, is still bringing folks to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. We saw two more precious souls saved this past month and both also followed the Lord in baptism. We praise the Lord for His saving grace, having brought both of these dear people out of Catholicism.

The Texas Mission Builders will be with us in March to replace the siding on the outside of the worship facility and to add on a couple more Sunday School rooms. We need to also add some lights in the parking area. We need the TMD funds and ask that we be prayerfully considered. Should we be so blessed we will organize some time this year; more than likely around August. God has done some great things for his glory in Round Rock ALREADY this year. We can hardly wait to see what He is going to do next! Our main goal this year is to please the Lord and it is my personal belief that nothing would please Him more than we become self supporting. Please help bring this to reality, and as always, the Brethren of Faith salute you. Sponsored by Modoc Missionary Baptist Church of Athens, TX. David Dawson, Pastor.

PILOT POINT

Sunday School 7 Morning Worship 7 Evening Worship 6 Wed. Evening 14 (Discovery Club)

Total Church Offering $949.70 Given to Missions $164.89 Paid For Rent $550.00

Every month is a good month to be able to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. We’ve had some exciting things happen this month that I hope will eventually grow to something grand. Sis. Kathy held her first Ladies Auxiliary meeting. There were a total of 4 in attendance. Sis. Liz Clinton from Woodlawn MBC was the guest speaker and there was one visitor. For some more good news, we have had three new members added to our Discovery Bible Club. Pray for us as we reach out to them and their families with the gospel. God bless my sponsoring church, Cedar Creek MBC of Palestine. I want to thank them for the caring support they have given to us. Without them the mission would not be possible. I praise God for churches like Cedar Creek MBC who are mission minded and are willing to step out in faith and send a missionary to the mission field to build a new Missionary Baptist Church somewhere in the world or this state. They give me the encouragement I need to carry out my duties here in Pilot Point. Pastors, by now you have had a chance to ask your congregations to consider supporting us with an offering of $10 a month. So far we’ve had 7 churches to respond to our request and we have had 2 individuals who are not members of our church who have decided to support us on a regular basis. Out of 323 churches I am having faith that God will press upon your heart to ask your congregation if there is anyone who would take up the opportunity to help build a new work in this region of Texas by asking them to send $10 on behalf of your church or on their own behalf. For those scoffers who say we’re limiting God to just $10 we ask you to send more. If the Lord presses upon you to send more, please follow His command. $10 is just a starting point of giving. Brothers and Sisters, I think I can safely say that Pilot Point is worth $10 a month. Please re-consider helping. Last but not least, someone recently questioned my faith and how much of it I had in God carrying out His will and it made me take a close look at my spiritual welfare. I do admit that my faith has been tried lately but I’ve tried to keep that still upper lip and I’ve tried very hard to keep a very positive attitude. Then I began to read Mark 9:14-29 about the man whose son was possessed since his youth and the response he gave Jesus when Jesus said this, "If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out and said with tears, Lord, I believe: help thou mine unbelief." May we all, I pray, be strong in our faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Master.
