Thanks to each one who continues to support our Texas State Mission Work. I want to thank each of you for the opportunity of serving as your secretary / treasurer. We certainly have a challenge before us in getting the gospel out to those that are lost. There are so many who need to hear.
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!" Romans 10:13-15
It is our privilege and responsibility to take the gospel to a lost and dying world. Are we doing it? In the New Testament we find the church in Jerusalem failed to go as God commanded, resulting in persecution and a scattering of the people. But as they went they preached the Word and souls were saved and new churches established to comply to God’s command. Could it be we are facing persecution? We need to pray that God will call and those called will respond and go to establish churches. There are so many metropolitan areas in our state that could use the witness of a Missionary Baptist Church. May God help us to do what He desires of us.
Let me encourage you to receive a special offering for Heritage Housing Fund if you were not able to do it on Resurrection Sunday, April 10th. The houses still need to be paid for and the recipients of these homes are truly thankful for your help. Send your offering to MBA of TX, P.O. Box 450813, Garland, TX 75045-0813. Designate it for Heritage Housing Fund. You will receive a receipt and the offering will be forwarded to the designated place.
I also want to encourage you to attend the Texas Missions Conference on April 21st and 22nd. It should prove to be a real blessing to you and your church. If you need more information about the Conference, please get in touch with me via email at cbmin@comcast.net or telephone me at 972-272-7727.
I will be happy to attend your church, youth rally, mission rally, etc. to represent Texas State Missions. Just let me know.
"Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that He will send forth laborers into His field."

Total Church Offering $10,467.00 Gave To Missions $1,023.20 Paid For Rent $750.00
Hopewell Mission experienced an incredible month financially. We started a building fund that began with a check for $13,466.82 from Texas Mission Development (half of the quarterly funds). This was an excellent opportunity to also begin a pledge campaign with our members. This campaign generated another $10,095.00, with some pledges still out. We also received various donations from churches and individuals that brought the building fund to a total of $27,211.82.In addition, we saw regular tithes and offerings of $10,467.00! We are so excited to see what God had done and is doing through the generosity of so many. The groundwork has been laid but we have just begun and there is yet a long way to go. Our goal is to reach $50,000.00 to have a sizeable down payment for the property we are considering. Please continue to support us with your prayers and resources. We send much love and appreciation to Texas Mission Development and to the many churches of the MBA of TX that are supporting our work in LaMarque. It is because of you that many are hearing and will hear the unadulterated word of God preached and many will come to a saving faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. We extend our deepest appreciation to Mission Bend BC of Houston, Woodville MBC Ladies’ Auxiliary, Calvary MBC of Baytown, Unity MBC of Richwood, Florida Avenue BC of Beaumont, and Baker Drive BC of Dickinson for your continued support. Thank you so much for considering our Mission.

There were two young girls saved in church. We also had two others come forward for baptism. We have been successful to baptize two of these. Domineak Darrough and Jessica Corona were baptized. Domineak has been saved for some time but her folks would not allow her to be baptized until now. Jessica has been attending our services for about three years and just got saved two weeks ago. Delilah got saved two weeks ago also. Delilah and Ashley (who was saved some time ago) came forward for baptism but their parents would not allow them to be baptized. Please keep them in your prayers. As you know, we have had a struggle trying to get water to our property for quite some time now. The last cost estimate was $350,000.00 for our cost with no definite promise of us ever getting it back. The city said as people hooked on we would get part of our money back. While this water line has been an obstacle there is a hidden blessing. The land has increased in value tremendously. We are told by real estate companies that it has doubled in value since we bought it. We have ordered an appraisal. The mission, along with our sponsoring church, has decided the best thing to do is try to sell this property and buy something outside the city limits that already has water on it. We have found ten acres that is in the middle of four new housing tracts. Two of these are being built right now. It is three miles from our present property. It is in Denton County. It is in a great location. It has water on the property! It has sewer very close by. It is priced at $160,000.00. We paid $180,000.00 for the property we now own. We are excited about the possibilities here. If this land sells, we will go this route. If it doesn’t sell, we will continue to search for another way to develop this property. Either way, the Lord be praised for He will provide. Please pray that the Lord’s will be done in this matter. We have lost several families in the past two months. I pray and trust that this was the Lord’s will. He knows what we need. He knows what is best. We are just instruments that He uses. He said that He would build His church. Not Peter, and not us. He must build it or it will not stand. We still have some great people left that want to see a church built. I thank the Lord for those faithful saints. I also thank the Lord for the many precious souls that we have seen saved since we have been here. I believe there are many, many more to reach for the Master. This is what keeps me going. What is a soul worth? Please pray for us. Thank you for your continued support for this mission. May the Lord bless you. I believe this is going to be a great church, with a great vision, one day. Your continual support will make this possible. Thanks again for your love for the lost.

Dear Beloved Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Christ has blessed us with one of the most wonderful methods to reach the children here in Pilot Point through our Discovery Bible Club program. We averaged 17 on Wednesday nights during the month of February and what is so wonderful is that they keep coming for more. We always praise God for this wonderful blessing to share His word with these people. We continue to reach out to the parents of these children, and others, to encourage them to come and let us minister to them in our worship services on Sundays but with little to no success. Pray for us as we continue to reach out to them and the community and share the gospel with them.

February was awesome! The work here at Meadowbrook is going forward. We are seeing repeat visitors, as well as those brought by our members. We are preparing for work to begin on our new parking lot. Please remember us in your prayers as this parking area is much needed and will make our church more accessible to the elderly in our area. Any support for this project will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and may God bless each and every one.

The Lord blessed us in February with some first time visitors. One of those visitors has adopted us as her "home away from home" church and will not be moving her membership here but will be with us as much as she can until she completes her time in the Police Academy. She’s a delightful addition to our family. Our choir hosted a very funny Valentine dinner to raise funds for some new music. Not only was it successfully fun, but we had several visitors. All in all, February was a good month with lots of contacts made and consistent attendance. Now that the weather is getting better, we’d love to have some of you come and help us canvas all the new housing additions around us. We made a loan to ourselves from our building fund to pay back the remaining balance on a loan from Central Texas Mission Council. We’ve resolved to repay it monthly as quickly as possible. Continue to pray for the work here in Fort Worth. Heart-felt thanks to all of you who faithfully support us.
