A new poster of the 2005 missionaries and the location of their work has been mailed to each church in the state of Texas. If for some reason your church did not receive one, be sure to let me know and one will be sent to you.

The second Texas State Missions Conference will be held on Thursday, April 21st and Friday, April 22nd. The Conference will be held in the facilities of New Liberty MBC located at 333 West Centerville Road in Garland. The Conference will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday and continue until approximately 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The speakers this year are Brethren Raymond McAlister of Florida, Harold Williams of Florida, Butch Roshto of Alabama, John Sanders of Colorado, Mike Evans of Texas and David Smith of Texas. A brochure will be mailed soon with all of the information concerning speakers’ subjects, motels, etc. We are going to try this meeting without any registration except for the Missionaries who want a table to display items about their work. If you want more information concerning reserving a table, speakers, etc., you can reach me at 972-272-7727 or email at cbmin@comcast.net.

Following the Thursday evening session there will be a meeting of all those interested in discussing the proposed changes to the current State Mission Policy. No decisions can be made at this meeting but it will give an opportunity to discuss the items that are of interest to each individual.

Please remember Resurrection Sunday is coming up on April 10th. The second Sunday in April was set aside a number of years ago to receive a special offering for the General Fund of the MBA of Texas. Since the general fund is in good condition, I am proposing, along with Bro. Marlin Freeman and Bro. Ray O. Brooks, that each church receive a special offering for a very special need, the Heritage Housing Fund. Your offering should be sent to P.O. Box 450813, Garland, TX 75045-0813. Make your check payable to MBA of TX and designate it for Heritage Housing Fund. In this way you will receive the usual receipt for all MBA offerings.

Greetings in the Matchless Name of our Lord. Last week (Feb. 5th) I traveled with a few men from Hopewell MBM to Jacksonville to share in a Mission Rally. We had a great time in fellowship with Pastor Calvin Gould, East Side MBC family and the many other churches in attendance. It was great to see Bro. and Sis. Reed in attendance. Bro. Jim Slocumb, Texas Mission Development Director, was present and presented our Mission with half of the quarterly TMD funds. We are so grateful to TMD for their efforts in supporting Missions and to all of the churches that support TMD. What an awesome start for our building fund. We are still attempting to purchase a building and land located in our area. However, the sellers are still keeping the asking price much higher than the estimated value. There’s also other offers from different churches being considered. Pray for us as we patiently wait on God for answers and direction concerning this property or any future property. We extend our deepest appreciation to Mission Bend BC of Houston, Woodville MBC Ladies’ Auxiliary, Calvary MBC of Baytown, Unity MBC of Richwood, Florida Avenue Baptist Church of Beaumont and Baker Drive BC of Dickinson for your continued support. Thank you so much for considering our Mission.

Greetings from North Lake Baptist Mission in Denton. I was able to lead one fourteen year old girl to the Lord (Olivia) while visiting with our bus kids one Saturday. Jessica Johnson was the one that planted the seed. I just got to share in the blessings. She came to church Sunday and came forward for baptism. We are doing soul winning classes on Sunday nights. I was able to make about fifty new contacts this month in a new housing tract. I had some good response. I expect to make a lot more contacts in this neighborhood this month. We have been busy all month renovating a larger unit for our services. We have got it complete and are planning to be in it the second Sunday in February. We have built five small class rooms in it and we can put four more pews in the auditorium. This space is 2200 sq. ft. We can probably comfortably seat eighty here. This will only cost us 50 cents per foot. The other tenants pay two to four dollars a foot. Praise the Lord! This location is in a real nice mall. We are also more visible. Calvary BC in Duncan, OK donated us a very nice 1987 Chevy van. It only has 68,000 miles on it. They also gave us $500.00 to get it painted. Now that is first class! I have it in the shop now getting it painted. What a great blessing this is to our Mission. It even has air conditioning, front and rear. I want to thank Calvary and their fine pastor, Bro. John Culley, for this great blessing. Please continue to pray for the work here. We lost two families this month but I know the Lord will replenish us, and more. Thank you so much for your continual support. You are such a blessing to us. I know that the Lord blesses you for your faithfulness.

Dear Beloved Brothers and Sisters in Christ, We continue our march forward in carrying out the Lord’s great commission by equipping the saints that He has given to us, whether they be big or small. We often wonder what God has in store for these young folks that God has given to us to train and disciple, but we know this, that what we give them now will be with them for the rest of their lives and maybe when they get older they’ll remember the time that Jesus saved them and how much fun it was to come to the house of God to worship Him and be with people who believed the same things as you. Help us by praying for their families that they would see the changes in their children and how Christ has changed their lives and that God would lead them to church with their children where they ought to be. Thank you to all of those who continually send support on a monthly basis. Without you it would not be possible for us to minister to these wonderful people here in Pilot Point. Your offerings are greatly appreciated. Please continue to pray for us as well and may God’s will be done. God bless you all.

As we face this new year, we here at Meadowbrook are filled with excitement. We had two additions and our offerings have increased from within. We are giving to Missions and our people are on fire. Their faith is very evident for our attendance is up because of members inviting others. The Lord is awesome and the work He has given me and my wife to do is such a blessing to be a part of. May God richly bless each and everyone who has supported this work.

January was a month with a lot of sickness within our congregation, but still the Lord blessed with pretty good attendance. Hopefully it won’t break out again! A gas well is now being drilled just south of our property so we’re hoping that will speed up the drilling that affects us. If all goes well, that will be a good source of income so we can go forward with our building. A lot of church flyers were distributed in January so we hope to see results soon. We now have a few more people enthused about outreach. The Lord has blessed us with some excellent teachers and we’re having some very in-depth lessons on Sunday evenings. We’ve just begun a Genesis study.

Continue to pray for our work in this fast growing area of Fort Worth. Our thanks to you who faithfully support us.
