June was another good month. I am so thankful for each church who participates in providing funds for our State Missionaries. It is my prayer that when we come to the State Meeting in November that God will send us more missionaries and that we will have the funds to provide the needed support for them. I am praying about a plan whereby we can give our Missionaries more than just financial support. I feel strongly that our sponsoring churches, the Missionaries and the churches who support the Missionaries absolutely need more encouragement and under-

standing about the responsibilities that have been undertaken. Please pray with me that we may work out some way to supply these additional needs.

Please remember that if your church is planning to request salary for a Missionary for the coming year, the requests are due in by September 15th. Be sure to read the guidelines in the Statement of Mission Policy on pages 68-70 in the 2002 MBA Yearbook and make your plans accordingly.

During the month of June, Brian Etheridge moved back to this area to work with Meadowbrook. Brian was saved and baptized in June 1997. In 1998 he surrendered to the ministry and started attending TBI in the fall of that same year. He was Missionary to Celebration MBM and was ordained by his sponsoring church, First Missionary Baptist Church of Duncanville. He later worked with Pleasant Hill MBC of Overton with Pastor Harold Davis. When Bro. Davis retired Bro. Etheridge was called as pastor and remained until June 2003. We at Meadowbrook are very happy to have him come home, especially this Missionary. Brian has obtained a full time job and will work with us as Associate Pastor. His youth is a real benefit to our work with the youth of Meadowbrook. Bro. Etheridge has expressed his concern and burden for the work here. We ask your prayers as we labor together for our Lord AVERAGE ATTENDANCE Sunday School - 26 Morning Worship - 32 BTC - 16 Evening Worship - 24 Mid-Week - 7. MIDLAND

I am first giving all praise to our Lord. There may be some in this world that may not know, or may be unsure, of the power of God’s grace and love. If anyone knows someone that needs a little example of this, let them be informed that the churches of the ABA are willing to show them a small little bit of what the real thing is really about. Let them know that Coca Cola is good. We all admit that coke is good for it has been around a long time, but now I see that they are trying different kinds of flavors to help out coke in hope of making it better. I learned something that is the same yesterday, today and forever. My family really wants to express our thanks and love to all for your prayers, as well as those who have expressed their love to help with our financial troubles. I must say that my wife’s health is not any better so please keep praying.

In closing, please know that New Life MBC is getting ready to do some things that will turn Midland, TX upside down. Now that you all have been warned you go and tell somebody that

the time to start getting ready could be too late, so stay ready to keep from having to get ready.

The Texas Avenue Baptist family thanks God for His wonderful blessings on us. It’s good to see his people growing in faith and unity. In June we had a special celebration service and fellowship honoring our graduates and thanking God for His guidance in their lives. We continue in preparation for camp in July. This will be another first for the T.A.B.C. family and we are looking forward to it.

My family and I were able to get away for vacation during June. We enjoyed this time of relaxation and refreshment as we got together with family for the week. It is great to be able to be away for any reason and have the assurance that we are leaving things in capable hands. Before leaving for vacation I asked three of our men to take care of the three services during the week in my absence. They all did a great job and I really do appreciate having them to rely on. We thank God for these men and their families.

Thanks to George & Liz Clinton, Paul & Bonnie Hull, Steven & Charlotte Pace, University Baptist of Tyler and Westwood Baptist of Odessa for their offerings during the month of June. We really appreciate you! Please pray for us as we serve the Master here in Abilene.

God is good! He keeps blessing in the ministry of Crossroads.

A man and his wife who have been visiting with us for a couple of months came for membership this month – he on profession of faith and a candidate for baptism and she by letter. They’ve been great blessings to us since they first started coming and this was icing on the cake!

We continue to have other visitors, some who have been faithful in attendance but have not joined yet. We incorporate them into our fellowship and teaching and pray God’s guidance in their decisions about a church home.

One man who just started coming about a month ago is moving into our neighborhood from Florida. His wife will be joining him here when their home sells. He is very solid in his doctrine and Bible knowledge and interested in seeing a strong work in the community.

Bro. LeRoy Smith and Bro. Marion Reed are continuing to counsel with us on our building plans. Through eyes of faith we see the building on the property soon. By human eyes, we wonder where the money is coming from, but we know God will make it happen. Pray for Bro. Larry Huffman and myself as we present our work to other churches in order to raise the money needed. Our drama club is presenting another drama as a building fund raiser. They are very enthusiastic about this ministry and are doing a great job.

Pray about your church helping with our building. Thank you for your continued prayer and financial support. We received $1034 from other churches.

Salvation’s

We had TEN accept Christ as Savior! There was seven Hispanic men and one English speaking man while door knocking with Brother Rodriguez. One was while a youth group was here from Lost Creek MBC in Sheridan, AR. while we were door knocking. The other one was in the Church Sunday morning. Praise The Lord!

Water Line

We have gave the engineer the go-ahead on the water line. They had to go forward or we could not submit our Platt plans. They have been submitted and we should have a grading permit soon. We sure need your help on this project.

Our New Location Is Great!

We are sure enjoying our new meeting place. It is sure a blessing not having to set up our chairs each week. We would like to thank Lost Creek MBC for helping us get our building ready. They were sure a great blessing to us. We also got a lot of work done on our land and done a lot of door knocking while they were here. Thank you Lost Creek, very much!

God has truly blessed us during the month of June. After a few snags here

and there we were able to lease a store front in a busy strip mall. It's a

nice comfortable place that is helpful in our studies of God's word.

We had a wonderful blessing from God when he sent 3 teenagers who used

to attend over at First Baptist Church before it disbanded. We had not seen

them in over a year. All 3 are in their senior year in High School and are

expected to graduate. One of the three is a girl and is pregnant with the

child of one of the boys. The baby is due in December. I'm doing what I can

to win their confidence so that I might help them spiritually. They seem

eager to have God back in their lives. Pray for them and the Church as we

try to minister to their needs.

We still have our septic problems but the City of Pottsboro is working with

us. We go before the city council on the 8th of July. They will make their

decision then on whether we hook up to city sewer or not.

Bethany Reynolds professed Christ as her Saviour Wednesday night, June 25th and will be baptized in July. Bro. and Sis. Marion Reed were with us Sunday, June 29th, for Mission Emphasis Sunday.
