STATE MISSIONS REPORT FOR JUNE 2006
Beginning Balance - $253,402.22
Offerings - $20,324.01
Missionaries Salaries - $17,200.00
Designated to LaMarque - $150.00
Adm. Salaries/Expenses - $2,978.58
Ending Balance - $253,397.65
I have received several inquiries regarding financial support for missionaries in the upcoming fiscal year. The inquiries are from different areas of our state and most are for help with Spanish speaking groups.
September15th is the deadline for support requests to be in to the office of Secretary/Treasurer. Any church who plans to ask for support should make contact with this office for the request forms.
Missionary Rickey Payne and Meadowbrook Mission of Wills Point are planning to organize on August 5th. Another mission has mentioned organization. However, I don’t know of any set date at this time.
As a precaution, I should call attention to the fact that we have maintained a good balance in the general fund now for some time. However, we have just about broken even over this year with the missionaries salaries and offerings. If we add additional missionaries next year we are going to need more offerings or the reserve balance can be depleted in a short time.
"Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he would send forth laborers into his harvest." For some time I have concluded my report with this request. According to information about the spiritual condition of our nation, each church member should be talking to God about being a missionary for the community in which he lives. The people we have long been concerned for, and sent missionaries to minister to, are now living next door or within reach of our witness. If you don’t believe it just look at the people in your WalMart store or the other places where you do business. The words of our Lord, “as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.” (John 20:21)

June has been a great month for Emmanuel Mission. The Lord has led us to a much better location in which to meet. It is located on the north side of Sugar Land right on Highway 6. This is one of the busiest roads in Fort Bend County. When we were touring the building a lady asked what we were going to be doing. When we told her that we were going to be holding church services there, she said that she would certainly be interested in attending. We will hold our first service there on July 16th. What a blessing! Please continue to pray for us as we continue to work with other prospects concerning salvation and church attendance.

Our ladies have begun another Beth Moore series each Tuesday evening. The class has grown and this has been an exciting time for them.
It is rewarding to see God’s hand on his church. Bro. Hub Murray and I were out door knocking a couple of weeks ago and another lady was saved. The more we get out into the field, the more we realize how desperately we need someone who is bilingual. Irving is 51% Spanish.
We just returned from Kid’s Kamp at Pine springs. This was the best camp we have ever attended. The best thing about the camp is the fact that we had 2 of the 35 who were saved.
We ask that you keep us in your prayers as we strive to reach out and win the lost, as well as equip the saints. Come by and see us!

Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
Greetings! The month of June has been a blessing to us at Hopewell. We saw four saved through our Vacation Bible School and received one for baptism. Praise God! Although we have seen a drop in attendance we are still getting several first time visitors each Sunday.
Our VBS was great this year and we averaged 81 between our youth and adults. Our VBS theme this year was “Fishers Of Men” and the children had a great time with the lessons, as well as the crafts. I pray that we will see many souls soon caught for Christ as a result of our VBS 2006.
The Brotherhood held a work day at the Mission and we were able to complete a number of projects that were long overdue. In addition to sprucing up the outside of the facility, we were able to hang six new ceiling fans and light kits in the sanctuary. This will certainly help us with our A/C problems during worship. We also managed to clean out an extra room we were using for storage and turned it into a much-needed classroom. We have an organ and a piano to give away to a mission or a church that needs one.
We thank all who supported us and enabled us to be the recipients of the third quarter mission Development Funds. This was really good news and the monies will go a long way in helping the Mission build a new facility. I do not have words that express my joy and gratitude for the help we have received from this organization.
Another highlight for the month was that our women blessed the men of the mission as they prepared and served us breakfast for Father’s Day. Remember that we did it for them on Mother’s Day. Well, I must admit, vittles are a bit tastier when prepared by our wives.
We are still awaiting a reply from the Trustees of Heritage Baptist Institute on the offer we made them to purchase the property we are currently calling home. We are praying God’s will be done.
Thanks to those who contribute regularly, as well as the one-time donations. Please continue to partner with us prayerfully and financially as we endeavor to reach our new goal of 100 K. The Lord provides. As always, I am grateful to Mission Bend BC of Houston, Calvary MBC of Baytown, Florida Avenue BC of Beaumont and Baker Drive BC of Dickinson for your continued support. I want to thank you for making the Mission possible. Without you, and others like you, without the monetary gifts and prayers for this Mission, we could not do the work that we do for Christ. I say this with much love and an abundance of blessings.

Greetings from North Lake Baptist Mission! Two were saved while door knocking. One of these was a college student. He was led to the Lord by one of our church members. The other one was working in a home for the mentally handicapped. She belongs to another church but she was lost. She is now on her way to Heaven! Praise the Lord! The Hispanics led five to the Lord.
We have started a Spanish and English class for one hour on Monday nights. It is excellent. We teach English for one hour and Spanish for one hour. What a blessing this is to all of us.
There are a lot of houses being built in Denton. It is the second fastest growing city in Texas. The ones that have me really excited have just been approved by the city. There are to be 650 of them and they are going to be built on 194 acres which joins our property. This is so exciting! Please pray that we can get a building on the property before these houses are built. These folks can walk to our church.
Thank you very much for all your support and prayers. Please continue to pray for this work. Your prayers are very important to this work.

June was a trying month for me. I started preaching more this month after my illness. I am so grateful for my Christian friends who have called and come by to see me. It is because of the prayers of God’s people that I am responding to my treatments. Thank you very much!
The summer months are making a difference in our averages but we expect that to happen because of vacations. It is good for people to get away and relax during this time of year.
We have been busy making plans for summer camp. We have a total of 32 signed up to go to Pine Springs the week of July 10th-14th. Our Vacation Bible School will be held on Saturday, July 29th. Everyone is looking forward to that.
We continue to have visitors every Sunday and I am expecting some additions in the near future. Please continue to pray for us.

June was a busy month here at Meadowbrook. We are getting ready for camp and the youth are so very excited. We will be taking 28 to camp so please pray for our youth and youth workers.
Our plans to organize a New Testament Church in August are still on schedule. Please pray that all goes well. Our members are excited and the prayers of our brothers and sisters in Christ are needed now more that any other time. Letters of invitation will be sent out in July.
Please keep this church and her members in your prayers. May God bless and keep all who have shown their faithfulness over the years.

God is continuing to bless Cornerstone in a powerful way. We are excited about how the Lord continues to work in the hearts of those in this community. We are reaching new families every week and we strongly believe God is preparing us for something big. Please keep Cornerstone in your prayers.
JUNE HIGHLIGHTS
-Please consider the church plant in Grapevine for your mission support. If you have any questions please contact Craig at 817-430-8606.
-We had a great experience at the ABA Messenger meeting. Thank you to all who visited our booth. We look forward to next year.
-We have completed a four-week session for church vision planning for the next 18 months. Keep this process in your prayers.
-Attendance has been impacted due to vacations. This is anticipated due to summer holidays.
-We are preparing for our first Vacation Bible School in the area. We are praying for 100 children. VBS starts in mid-July!
-We have registered four to go to the Medical Missions International (MMI) mission trip to Tanzania in September. Please pray for Larry, Bego, Heather and Kevin. Please pray for the arrival of passports.
-Each Sunday this month we have had visiting families. We are very encouraged by our visitors.
-We have been notified by a commercial leasing agent of a 7,000 sq. ft. facility used by a church that has moved to a larger location. We are excited about this opportunity. The rent will be significantly higher than our current $550.00. Please keep this situation in your prayers.
-We will be celebrating two years of ministry in the community in August. Please join us for the special service in mid-August.
At this time we are available to share the work with your church. Our biggest need is prayer as we seek a meeting location and for building funds. May the Lord bless!

One of our large families is out of state for nearly the whole summer. Other members are taking those “wonderful” vacations. However, two new prospective families with two children each are attending. The Lord is blessing. When the “California-visiting” family returns we are going to have a large number (for us) of adolescent and early teen children to try to minister God’s Word effectively. Some of our members are very convicted about this. Bro. Robert Wallace, Youth FrameWorks, is scheduled to be with us in both services on Sunday, July 16th to counsel and encourage in this area.
Our land, which is debt free, is gradually being cleaned and improved. We sure do need a more functional building on it. Please pray very zealously about this need being met soon. The building fund is at $22,847.00. Other plans for the building are being considered, in addition to the one we first projected.
Additional receipts from other churches totaled $1,424.16. You all are such a blessing to us. May God richly bless all of you to His great glory.
