I was privileged to accompany Pastor Robert Boone of New Hope MBC in Valley View to Weatherford to meet with a group of families who are interested in beginning a new church in that area. Cass Reasor of Valley View MBC, Pastor Larry Frye of North Lake MBC in Denton, Pastor Roy Fikac of Faith MBC in Round Rock and Pastor Bill Morrow of Sublett Road MBC in Arlington also went to meet with the group. We met in the home of Robert and Stella Nickolson. They have taken the lead in this effort and are getting people together for a Bible study in their home. The Nickolson’s moved to the Weatherford area from Arkansas and have searched for a church that was true to the scriptures. They had found no church they considered totally scriptural. After about three years they ran an ad in a local paper seeking people who might share their interest in establishing a true New Testament Church. Several people are now involved in this effort. Bro. Larry Frye plans to meet with them one day each week to do some door knocking and try to find others who might be interested and to encourage those who are already involved. I ask that each of us pray that if it is God’s will for a church to be started there that He will burden some good, strong church to step forward and that God will lead a missionary to work in the area of Weatherford. Matthew 9:37-38 (KJV) "Then saith he unto his disciples, the harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few: Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he will send forth labourers into his harvest."
Thank you so much for your support of Texas State Missions. If you would like a visit by the Secretary/Treasurer, just let me know.

Once again the Hopewell MBM Family thanks all of the churches that offer prayers and support to us on a regular basis. The work in LaMarque is still being blessed, although things have slowed a bit this month. I honestly feel as though the Lord is allowing me the opportunity to catch my breath before the next leg of the race. Things have really been moving fast for our work and it has really been a challenge keeping up. I have learned so much in such a short period of time. Please continue to lift up the LaMarque Mission in prayer. We finally purchased a new sound system and it sounds great! Praise God! We are still in need of several more loads of crushed concrete for parking lot expansion, as well as needing roof repairs to the building. Please continue to pray for our mission and the many souls we reach daily. We still need prayer regarding a permanent place to call home. We are currently sharing facilities with Heritage Baptist Institute but because of the awesome response to the gospel we are anticipating the need for a larger place to worship. Thank you to Florida Avenue MBC, Woodville MBC Ladies Aux., Calvary MBC of Baytown, Unity MBC and Baker Drive Baptist Church for your continued support. Beginning in mid-May, I am available for deputation work and would love to come and share with you and your congregation.

Have you ever looked at five acres of grass and weeds this time of year and thought, "It’s that time again - mowing to be done every week!" Those were my thoughts as I looked at the church grounds a few weeks ago. I guess God heard my musings and "moanings" because Bro. Danny Chappell of Crestview MBC in Arlington called and asked if we could use a riding lawn mower. We now have it and, believe me, we’ve made good use of it. A couple in Arlington had bought a brand new Craftsman 20 hp, 42" cut mower and discovered they couldn’t use it due to allergies and they wanted to give it to a church. Bro. Chappell suggested us and now we are abundantly blessed! It would be great if we had a building and parking lot covering most of that five acres, but it’s not in God’s timing yet. We’re waiting! Billie and I were invited to Mission Bend Baptist Church in Houston this month to present the Word and Crossroads. What a warm welcome we received from those great people! They shocked us by receiving an offering for the mission and presented us with enough money to purchase 22 square feet of our building. They have faithfully supported us since we began the mission. Thank you Mission Bend and Bro. Elvin Crocker for your zeal for missions. You can keep up with what is happening at the mission at our web site: crossroadsbaptistfortworth.com. Our weekly bulletins are placed there each week. Thanks to you who faithfully support us with prayers and offerings. Thirty seven square feet were purchased this month by the mission and other churches. Praise the Lord! We received a total of $1353.00 support from other churches.

We thank the Lord for two who came to the Lord and were baptized during March. James Lindsay and Nathan Justice were saved and joined the Texas Avenue Baptist family through baptism. We’re thankful for them both. James already had his name in our membership book but realized that his name wasn’t written in THE BOOK. Praise God for these decisions. Please pray for Nathan and James. Thanks for your support of Missions.

While out door knocking we were privileged to see one English speaker receive Christ as Savior and two Hispanics. Several other Hispanics were saved later. Praise the Lord!
I would like to thank all of those pastors and churches that have responded so great to our plea for help with some one-time offerings. The response has been terrific! I sure appreciate my fine brethren for this great effort. You sure bless my heart, Brethren. I would like to say a special thank you to our faithful, regular contributors. The folks at North Lake are sure impressed by your love and concern for this mission. You are very special to us. May the Lord bless you.
Our building plans are still held up in the city. We are waiting for the city to approve them. I am told they are very close to being finished.

Total Church Offering $5890.99 Given to Missions $200.00 Paid On Property $2400.00
Greetings! March was quite a month. Had one join on statement of faith, another came on profession of faith and will follow the Lord in baptism. Had another go home to be with the
Lord after a short fight with cancer; our dear brother in Christ, Frank Homesley. Much sickness among us at this time. Margaret Hammer and David Anderson are in much need of the prayers of God’s people. Our offerings averaged $1472.80 ; a total offering of $5890.99. The Mission Builders have struck again, having replaced the siding on the outside of the worship facility with a white vinyl siding. They also built us a couple more classrooms in the upstairs area. These men and women are just awesome and such a blessing to the work of God. There is still much to do here in Round Rock, and I cannot help but feel only a short time to get it done. It is our prayer that you have a great Easter and may the churches of the Lord Jesus be blessed and His dear name glorified.

Dear beloved brothers and sisters in Christ - God still continues to bless us in our work here in Pilot Point and the blessings we receive are just beyond measure. God has given us some wonderful kids to love and to teach. They are so eager and excited to come to Discovery and do their exercises and say their pledges and sing their songs it lifts my heart with gladness and joy. It does the same for my wife Kathy and Brother Jack as well. This is the time of the week for us to really spread the gospel of Jesus Christ in our part of the world. We should often times be reminded that the children that Christ has entrusted to us are so very important. The word of God teaches us how Jesus felt about children in these verses, "And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them." Mark 10:13-16 We continue to work on the parents of these children but to no avail. The more we talk to them though the more they feel comfortable and hopefully they will make that step and come to church. Some of our kids though are being pulled in different directions because of denominational backgrounds. We get them on Wednesday and other denominations get them on Sunday. It’s a challenge but we’ll fight the good fight and teach the truth no matter what.
It would not be right if I did not tell you of a need. We need a good running bus or van to transport our children. We have very little money but we are expecting a good sum of money soon. Through God I know we can make some kind of arrangement with you on making payments. Please if you have one available call me at 903-271-1116. God bless you all, my brothers and sisters in Christ.
