May has been another very good month for MBA of Texas. Some Resurrection Sunday offerings continued to come in during the month bringing our total for this special offering to $17,383.00.. I am so grateful for the participation of each church for these, and other special offerings that have been coming in since the first of the year when the need of our general fund was shared with you.
Your response has been tremendous and our general fund balance shows it. I would like to encourage each church to continue with regular monthly support so that our balance does not decline. I pray that God will call more men to the Texas mission field and when we meet in November we will have funds sufficient to allow them support for their field of labor.
September will soon be here and those planning to request support for your mission work will need to have the request in by September 15th.
I am thankful for the work being accomplished by our missionaries. I am seeking ways that we may provide the sponsoring churches and missionaries with help beyond their financial needs. Please pray for this effort and share with me your ideas. The Lord’s final word to His church was to go with the message of the gospel to all the world, make disciples, baptize them and teach them. Regardless of our work for the Lord it must ultimately fall into one of the categories of making, baptizing and teaching disciples. When we lose sight of this being our work it will no longer be of God, but of the world.
Have you looked at the web page for our association lately? Check it out. <www.mbaoftexas.org> Bro. Jim Brown has taken it over and is making changes and posting the reports. If you have information to share, send it to him at <webmaster@mbaoftexas.org>. You will find a bulletin board for posting your information, as well as a directory of our churches. If you find information that needs changing, please follow the instructions.

I am giving all thanks and praise to our Lord Jesus Christ and thanks to the Saints of Christ for their prayers and support. New Life is still thanking God for giving us His love in keeping things as well as they are. New Life is still giving honor to Whom honor is due and we all know that only Christ deserves this honor.
To the sister churches of the MBA on a personal note, the last two weeks my heart has felt what real pain is truly about. As I write this report my eyes are filled with tears because of the illness that my wife, Willie, is going thru. As many of you already know, she is suffering from cancer and the doctors say it is in her lungs and liver. Hospice Care people have been coming to our home for about three weeks now. If there was ever a time that we, the Williams family, needed your prayers, we need them now. We have a family friend in Tulsa, OK who has a doctor practice and we have been informed that there are two cancer centers there that have new and different ways of treating cancer. After great prayer, we plan to take a trip to Oklahoma to see if they can help my wife. We plan to leave on June 23rd. This will be very expensive and we ask your prayers that God’s people will consider helping us with this trip. More than anything, we ask that you all pray with us that God’s will be done and that He will give the strength to accept it. Also, we ask your prayers for an outpouring of God’s spirit upon the people of Midland and that He will strengthen the New Life family.

During May we welcomed Dusty Deaver into our church family by letter. We look forward to serving with Dusty. Also in May, our youth blessed us with the first monthly Youth night. The youth of our church had charge of the service. Open prayer, music, skits, lesson, announcements, and more prayer! They did a great job! We are really looking forward to the next youth service in June. The youth are also busy preparing for camp in July.
On a personal note, our oldest daughter, Kathrine, graduated from Wylie High School on the 30th of May. We enjoyed having several family members in for this event. Please pray for Kathrine as she prepares for college at Hardin-Simmons University here in Abilene.
As always, thanks for your prayers and offerings. We love and appreciate you.

Things are moving along on our building plans. Bro. Reed was with us one Sunday and shared his building wisdom, suggestions and plans. We have also had meetings with a bond program manager and different banks regarding financing. Bro. Leroy Smith of Texas Mission Builders is scheduled to be with us on July 13th. We have set a decision making meeting on June 8th. Please pray with us as we make these important decisions.
God is continuing to bless with visitors, some who keep coming back and back! Among those have been excellent opportunities for witness and help.
We continue to canvass neighborhoods. The houses are going up so fast that there are always more to reach. The fruits of these visits seem slow, but God is always at work behind the scenes. The results will come.
Thanks to you who continue to support us with prayers and finances. Thanks to our sponsoring church, Central of Bedford for their support and encouragement.
We thankfully received a total of $1603 from other churches.

Salvation - There was another young girl got saved this month. She has been attending our Mission for about a year. Her two sisters were saved some time ago. Her name is Karina. Praise The Lord!
Water Line - We are still not sure what is going to happen on our water line. Please continue to pray for that. I know that Our Lord has a plan!
Our Driveway To Our Property - The State has finally got to putting our driveway onto our property. It will be poured next week. It is forty feet wide. The contractor that is doing it was telling me that if we build in the next year that he will give us a great deal on all of our concrete. They have built a portable concrete plant 1/4 mile from our property just for this project. Isn’t Our Lord Great!
Meeting In A New Location - We have finally got to rent a place, I tried to rent when we first bought our land. It is in a Factory Outlet Mall 1/2 mile from our property. It is 1250 square feet. It is in a great location along side Interstate #35 North. June 1st will be our first service there. I believe this is a great opportunity for us this last year before we build. It is going to cost us $600.00 per month. This is the first time we have really had to pay much rent. I believe it will well be worth the money.
Spanish Speaking Work To Start - Brother Jesus Rodriguez will be joining us here in Denton, this month to start a Spanish speaking Church. Our sponsoring Church will be his sponsoring Church also. I am sure excited about working with him. He will be using our same building at a different time. Please keep this in your prayers.
Average Attendance - We had 31 for S.S. and 31 for Worship Services
Special Thanks - It is always an honor to thank those special Churches that continue to help us. It won’t be long before we will see a New Testatment Church here in Denton, and you are a tremendous part of that. Thank you for being so faithful. We have had several Churches give us some special one time offerings this month. Praise The Lord for His Special People that do so much for us! Thank you so very much!

Pilot Point
We have had to do a lot of moving around this month, moving from one
location to another. One Sunday we met in one of our members home which was
a blessing. It's reunion season around Pilot Point and we have had to let
others have the opportunity to rent the Senior Citizens Center. But the
Lord has blessed us with a location that we believe will help us to stay in
one place. It is a store front at a very busy strip mall. We will be
leasing the facility in June and we should be able to hold our first service
there on the 15th.
Please remember to keep my family and me in your prayers. We still have a
major septic problem at our house in Pottsboro which is keeping us from
moving to Pilot Point. We have been working with the city to try in getting
put on city sewer and we have talked to several plumbers about putting an
aerobic system in, and the price has changed depending on what type of
system we need. The price has ranged from $5,000 to $10,000. Our next step
is to get the inspector over to tell us what kind of system we need. We are
also going to keep working with the city about hooking up to the city sewer
which would be a lot cheaper. The bad news about that is that we won't find
out anything until the middle of July when the city council meets to make a
decision.

Graduation, vacations, a holiday, etc. brought our attendance and offerings down some. We still have a high of 33 in Morning Worship and 24 in Sunday School.
I had a surprise 60th birthday celebration and 35 years in the ministry celebration in the fellowship hall of Landmark MBC with 24 in attendance. Nice gifts, cards, telephone calls, food, fun and fellowship really made it a special day and time. Thanks to all! I appreciate the special love offering of $48.00 from Jessie Nall of Pilot Point, TX.
