Thank you so much for your continued support of State Missions. Keep up the good work.

I am thankful for the opportunity given to me to serve another year as Secretary/Treasurer. I nominated, and the state messengers approved, a special committee to work with me to consider changes to our state mission program. The men on the committee are Brethren Elvin Crocker, Roy Culley, Billy Daniels and Ricky Knight. Many of you have mentioned to me that changes need to be made. Those of you who wish to make a recommended change may mail it to me at P.O. Box 450813 - Garland, TX 75045-0813 or email to cbmin@comcast.net. All suggestions will be considered and recommendations will be made by the committee and will be published prior to the 2004 meeting in Denison.

A state wide Missions Conference is planned for April 22nd-23rd, 2004. The conference will be held in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. The purpose of the conference is to provide spiritual motivation for ministry, to share information and experience for church development, to equip the people of God for greater leadership in ministry, to promote the development of increased church planting. I want to thank Bro. David Smith for his help in planning this conference. I also want to thank those churches that have volunteered to sponsor, and fund, this conference. The churches who have pledged funds to help are Eastfield MBC of Mesquite, South Union MBC of Daingerfield, Tanglewood MBC of Atlanta, Emmanuel MBC of Greenville, Calvary MBC of Henderson, Fairhaven MBC of Mesquite, and Heritage MBC of Missouri City. If your church would be interested in sponsoring and funding this conference, please let me know.

Further information will be available as final plans are made.

God gave us an exciting month in November. Our new young adult ministry is growing and good Christian fellowship and relationships are being established. They are writing and performing some very good skits with spiritual lessons. Please join us in prayer for this hard to reach age group. Our ladies are planning a Spring Fling fund raiser for March or April. This will be a community wide activity and a great opportunity to associate and fellowship with people we've not otherwise been able to reach. There will be a lot of contact with local businesses as well. Our Square Foot Campaign continues to bring in offerings for our building fund. We sold 42 square feet this month! Thanks from the bottom of our hearts to you who have responded. If your church hasn't contributed yet, please reconsider the need for an ABA work in this area and help us get it established. We counted it a real blessing when we received an offering from a young adult Sunday School class of another church. What a great ministry for a Sunday School class! Our change bank continues to add up and buy square feet.We received a total of $1031.00 support from other churches. We praise God for this and for the help our sponsoring church, Central of Bedford, gives us.

Dear beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, God is so good that all we can do is rejoice with the angels in heaven. The Wednesday after the Missionary Baptist Association of Texas, God's hand again went to work on the children of our Discovery Bible Club. Three souls were saved and two of them were first time visitors. The two first time visitors come from a home where the mother is a devout Church of Christ and their father is an atheist. One boy had been baptized by a priest and then by the Church of Christ and the other was baptized by a priest. All three children were sure when they left that they were truly saved and that there was no way they could lose the salvation, no matter what. The girl who accepted Christ as her Savior we should have no trouble in getting her baptized, but the two boys will be a little more difficult. Pray for us as we attempt to reason with the mother of the two boys and may God give us success. We also need your help. I know, someone else asking for money. Brothers and sisters, we are asking for your help. If it's only $10 a month it would truly be a blessing. If it's just a one time gift, that too would be a blessing. We just need your help. I'm also available for deputation, please call and let us make some arrangements. God bless you and have a blessed Christmas. We average 14 for Discovery on Wednesday night.

We are waiting for our plans to be approved by the city for our grading permit. We had a young couple join that I believe will be a great help to us. The young lady's father is a pastor. We had another young mother come for baptism. We met her on visitation. We were privileged to lead her teenage brother and sister to The Lord that same day. They were visiting her from out of town. Thank you very much for your help and prayers!

I thank and praise God for the opportunity to submit the first Missionary Report for Hopewell Missionary Baptist Mission of LaMarque Texas. Our doors opened for public worship on the 12th of October and God has blessed our efforts tremendously. During October we added a total of 13 souls, by letter, to the mission. It seemed like every time the doors of the mission were open, someone came forth to unite with the body of Christ. Praise God for adding to His work! Our Wednesday night Bible study has grown to over 30 in attendance most nights. We also took in $2,032.28 in offerings for October and donated $203.28 to missions. In November God continued to bless Hopewell by adding 19 more souls to our mission with 4 of those being candidates for baptism. We were able to give $440.80 to missions for November and total offerings were $4,408.93 God is so awesome, I just can't begin to tell it all. For Thanksgiving our members cooked and delivered over 60 dinners to the elderly in LaMarque and surrounding communities. We also began a food bank for the Holidays and hope to continue it into next year. God is really blessing our efforts. Our newest family, the Moses's, noticed all the wonderful things God was doing through the mission and donated a check for $1000.00 on Sunday. Hallelujah! There are many other stories of acts of kindness and generosity towards our efforts. Thanks to the churches that have contributed to Hopewell MBM and please continue to pray for our ministry. There are many needs and God continues to provide for us. We have made some repairs to the building and have plans for others on hold, including creating more parking spaces. Again thanks for your kindness and prayers. To God be the Glory, Honor, and Praise

NOTE FROM SEC./TREAS: Remember that Bro. Clay and Baker Drive MBC requested only designated funds. He receives only offerings designated to his work at LaMarque.
