TEXAS STATE MISSIONS REPORT FOR NOVEMBER 2005

Beginning Balance - $242,662.83

Offerings - $18,798.96

Missionary Salaries - $9,092.00

Designated/LaMarque - $50.00

Administrative Salaries/Expenses - $2,681.20

Ending Balance - $249,638.59

God blessed our State Mission work in November. I am very thankful for the faithfulness of our supporting churches in Texas. When finances were a little short a few years ago, your offerings got everything back on track in a short time and you have continued to support the work of our Missionaries in Texas.

I want to encourage you to continue your generous support for Texas State Missions. At the messenger meeting in November we doubled the payout for our Mission work. We added several new Missionaries and gave everyone a 5% increase in salary. This will cause our payout to be more than $20,000.00 each month. Monthly offerings usually range from $18,000 to $20,000. We do have a good cushion in our accounts right now but we must be very careful that we do not chip-away at the balance. Churches have been very faithful to support the Missionaries and I want to encourage you to continue with dedicated contributions each month. God surely has a plan for whatever funds we have and we must be good stewards of them.

Thank you so much for allowing me to serve in the office of Secretary/Treasurer for another year. I consider it a great privilege and blessing to serve our churches in this capacity. If you would like for me to visit your church or mission to share information about any of the current Mission projects, just get in touch with me.

"Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he will send forth laborers into his harvest."

Matthew 1:21 "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins."

December has arrived! The spirit of Christmas, with all of the joy and excitement that it brings, is upon us. This is my most favorite time of year, especially for sharing the message of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Our attendance for morning service remains high and we are still welcoming a number of first time guests each Sunday. We have been praying for an increased interest in our music ministry. God answered our prayers and last month we added three new members to our choir. (I thought that I would have to start singing with them but I am glad that the Lord knows what is best.)

In November we held our third annual outreach to the elderly. We prepared over 140 Thanksgiving meals and delivered them to our elderly residents. The meals were delivered hot and ready to eat. It was a real joy to be able to share the love of Christ with so many as we prayed for them and encouraged them in the Lord. We discovered that for many this would be their only Thanksgiving meal. I thank God for the opportunity. Hallelujah!

It was good to see many of you in Mt. Pleasant, TX in November. It was especially gratifying because I was unable to attend the meeting in 2004 due to back surgery. I was able to meet many of our Mission supporters for the first time. It was truly a pleasant fellowship and I look forward to seeing everyone in Longview in 2006.

Please continue to pray for us as we prepare to enter into the New Year. Pray that the Lord would continue to guide us and reveal to us a clear path forward as we continue our search for land and/or a larger facility. We extend our appreciation to Mission Bend BC of Houston, Calvary MBC of Baytown, Unity MBC of Richwood, Florida Ave. BC of Beaumont, and Baker Drive BC of Dickinson for your continued support. Thank you for considering our Mission.

Greetings from North Lake Baptist Mission in Denton. Our door knocking is going great. We continue to do this each Sunday afternoon. We have two or three teams. If the weather is too bad we have soul winning exercises. Each one in the teams can lead someone to Christ. This is part of our Mission Statement. Each church member should be able to lead someone to Christ. There were three bus children saved this month from a Friend Day that Bro. Ken and Sis. Barbara Sibley helped us with. We sure enjoyed them. They do an excellent job.

If you can operate a dozer, grader, front-end loader or a dump truck, we sure could use you. We still have a lot of dirt to move and compact. If you could spare a day or two that would be great! Please let me know. I have a spare room and we have other members that will also keep you. It would sure be a blessing to us and I believe it would be a blessing to you also.

The Huddle twins are home now and doing well. Thank you so much for your prayers. They won't be able to take them anywhere for quite a while, but they said the first place they will be going is North Lake Baptist Church. Please continue to pray for them and their spiritual needs.

There is a family who live here in Denton that has donated $2,000.00 to our building fund this month and they are not even members. They also give a regular monthly offering. I have challenged each of our families, both in our Mission and our sponsoring church, to give a $2,000 offering over the next six months to our building fund. I never dreamed that someone from outside the Church would respond to this challenge. Praise the Lord! This man has lived in Denton for many years. He realizes the need for a soul winning fundamental Baptist Church to be planted here. If he did this, what should we be doing. Dear Sister Churches, we sure need your help. There are more people like him and his wife in Denton and we want to reach them. His name is Donny Akin. He is a member of one of the Southern Baptist Churches in Denton. He has a Missionary Baptist background. He and his wife have been great supporters of ours for several years. This is very encouraging. Thank you, Bro. Akin.

The University here, University of North Texas, has bought 180 acres near us which has large facilities on it. It was the Texas Instrument Plant. The word now is that they are going to build some housing facilities across the highway from us. The Lord is getting us prepared.

Thank you all so much for what you do for us. I pray that you all have a very special Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

From all the brethren here are Meadowbrook, we would like to express our gratitude and heartfelt appreciation for all the financial support and the many prayers offered up on our behalf. How can we can thank you for all you have done. The only way we can show our gratitude is to honor you all by building a strong and wonderful work that is pleasing to our Lord Jesus. Once again, my friends, we say THANK YOU!

We are very excited about what God is doing with Crossroads. Attendance is back up in all our services and we are blessed with visitors again. Of course, as happens in small congregations, all that will change in December since several of our families are already scheduled to be gone during the holidays. Two of the families greatly affect our numbers and fellowship and will be gone for two weeks. But, this too shall pass!

Thank you for voting at the State Meeting to support us on half salary. Our people are aware of the need to become self-supporting and are giving accordingly. Pray with us that the Lord will make it possible for us to take that step next year.

We are viewing where the Lord has brought us in the last several years with great thankfulness. We look back with great thankfulness for the generosity, gracious prayers and the often expressed sincere concern of Missionary Baptist Churches and individual members across this great state. We are looking forward with great expectations to this coming year being a beacon year in progress by our Lord and for our Lord here.

The housing development that is going to be right against our fence will begin putting houses in probably in February. Plans are already in place to contact residents as soon as they move in with a welcome gift from Crossroads.

May God richly bless in your church and your ministry.
