This is the October report but the 2005 MBA of Texas Messenger meeting at Nevill=s Chapel MBC in Mt. Pleasant has just concluded. I trust that every action taken by the messengers is something that will ultimately bring honor and glory to God. All eight requests for support of a Mission Project were approved. Those returning for another year are Joel Clay in LaMarque, Rickey Payne in Wills Point, Larry Frye in Denton and W. S. Taylor in Ft. Worth. The new mission projects are Craig Rodgers in Grapevine, Marvin Gardner in Tyler, Larry Chalker in Irving, and Kevin Bolding in the Sugarland/Richmond area. Faith MBC in Round Rock is now a New Testament Church and Pastor Roy Fikac did not ask for support. I was elected to be the Secretary/Treasurer for another year. Please pray for me as I serve in this office. Also, please pray diligently for each of these who will be receiving support. They really need your prayers.
If you would like for me to visit your church or mission to share information about any of the current projects, please get in touch with me.

Matthew 9:37-38 AThen saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few, Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.@
We send greetings to all of our sister churches and missions of the MBA. The month of October was exciting as well as rewarding. There were four souls won for Christ at Hopewell and we will baptize them on the first Sunday in November. Praise God for His saving grace.
On October 12th the Mission became two years old! It is hard for me to believe that it has already been two years. To God be the glory for the great things He has done and continues to do through our Mission.
As the year draws closer to an end we are anticipating a clearer path forward as we continue our search for land and/or a larger facility. I am asking the churches once again to consider Hopewell for the quarterly Mission Development fund. After receiving half of the quarterly fund for the first quarter of this year we are well underway to having a substantial building fund. Our goal is to reach $100,000 by the end of 2006. This may seem like a lofty goal but with the help of our churches and the favor of God, we can do it! We are currently at $45,000 with a few pledges still outstanding. Prime land in our area is selling for $25M-$40M an acre and we are looking to purchase no less than five acres. Pray with us as we believe God to provide for our work.
I am looking forward to seeing you all in Mt. Pleasant in November. We extend our appreciation to Mission Bend BC of Houston, Calvary MBC of Baytown, Unity MBC of Richwood, Florida
Avenue BC of Beaumont, and Baker Drive BC of Dickinson for your continued support. Thank you so much for considering our Mission.

We continue to knock doors as a group on Sunday afternoon and we are once again sending out letters to the new move-ins. There are over 1,000 each month. Surely we will reach some of them.
We baptized one this month. Her name is Brittney Wesson. She was saved last month. She is my first grandchild. She is six years old. What a blessing to be able to lead your own family members to the Lord.
We started our dirt work this past week. We had a great crew to come and help us. Bro. Mike Prince got together a crew and they stayed here and worked hard all week. I am afraid they didn=t get to see much of Denton. We were working from daylight to dark every day. They sure did a great job. The workers were Jim and Jacki Fry from OK, Mike and Judy Pumphreys and his cousin Jill from AR, Richard Woodruff from W. Memphis, Kyle Prince from Florida, Larry Chalker from TX and Mike and Deby Prince from W. Memphis. They were such a blessing! It is amazing what the Lord=s people can do when they have a mind to work.
Please continue to pray for the Hubble twins. They are doing great. They might get to come home next week. Thank you so much for your prayers. Please pray the Lord will send us more laborers. Please pray for this building project to go forward. Pray for the lost in Denton, TX.
I have challenged each family in our Mission to give $2,000 toward our building fund in the next six months. I have challenged our sponsoring church to do the same. I would like to challenge each church in the ABA to give us a one-time offering of $500.00 within the next 6 months. If you would accept that challenge we would be in great shape. Our land is now paid off! We will now have $1,400 plus each month to go toward our building fund. We sure need your help. Our total estimated cost will be about $457,000.00. Our goal is to have all of that by April 2006. Folks, we have witnessed 351 professions of faith in the past five years here in Denton. This place is white unto harvest. I would like to also remind you that this is the only ABA work in this city of over 80,000. Please help us do a great work here for the Lord. Thank you very much for this consideration. This is just a little thing for God! Right? I want to thank the great supporters we have. You are terrific! Thank you so very much! You are such a blessing!

We here at Meadowbrook would like to thank all of our brethren who have stood with us. Our Lord is blessing this beautiful work and souls are being won to the glory of God. We will once again stand before our brothers and sisters of the MBA and request salary for one more year. Our goal is to organize before the end of next year and we will do so if the Lord permits. Your prayers and support are still quite necessary and appreciated. It is a tremendous blessing to serve the Lord and I thank all who have supported this ministry.

We are now seeing visitors coming again after a long, dry summer of closed roads. A family with five children just moved in across the street from the church and the wife and children have been faithful in attendance. Pray with us that the husband in the family will be saved and join his family in their worship with us and not insist that they go to a Catholic church, which he doesn=t attend.
We=ve added some more classes recently and enthusiasm in high among the teachers in the children=s ministry.
During the last week of October survey stakes went up all the way to the south side of our property and around behind us. Dirt is being moved! The housing development just across our north boundary road is now up and running - four new houses started in the last couple of weeks. Property is marked off for a gas well about 300 yards from us but our lease company hasn=t started preparing for a well yet. Pray for God=s leading in this matter.
As in all churches, people come and people go. We=ve had a lot of that. We are definitely situated in a transient area. It keeps things interesting. Continue to pray with us about the construction of a permanent building and our outreach to the growing community around us.
We received a total of $1,674.00 from other churches. Also, mission members gave $1,864.00 to the building fund. A heartfelt thanks to all of you who continue your support of our work.
