I thank God for the continued support of our State Mission work. My only regret is that we do not have churches and Missionaries willing to step forward for the Lord's work to establish new churches in many areas of need. There are many locations in our state with no Missionary Baptist witness. This should be a matter of great concern to us.

Nancy and I have enjoyed visiting with many Local Associations around our great state. We would have liked to attend all of them but some meet on the same day in different parts of the state. We appreciate the warm welcome we always receive. We are looking forward to the State MBA meeting in Hillsboro at Walnut Street MBC.

Please continue to pray that the Lord will call Missionaries, that they will answer the call and that churches will take the challenge of sponsoring Missionaries to reach the lost and establish new churches.

Pilot Point

Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus our Lord, again we appreciate all of your prayers and support for our mission here in Pilot Point, TX. Continue with us in prayer that the Lord would continue to bless us as we do His will here. It is our hope and prayer that all the lost in Pilot Point would receive the gospel of Jesus Christ and be saved. What a wonderful blessing that would be.

This month has taken quite a toll on dear mom. Diabetes, which she has had for over 30 years, has almost taken all of her sight, let alone her strength. Her left eye was already to the point that she couldnt see out of it at all, then all of a sudden her right eye began hemorrhaging and filled with blood causing her to be somewhat blind. She wound up having surgery at Presbyterian hospital in Dallas. It was a lengthy surgery but she came through with flying colors. She still cant see very well but her doctor said it would take up to 6 months to see a marked improvement. Please continue to pray for her.

Brothers and sisters, continue to pray for our kids. We see that this is where the Lord is focusing our attention. We have one mother that lives in Tioga, TX who has asked us to stop by and pick up her son on our way to church on Sunday morning and Wednesday evening for Discovery. I cant thank God enough for Discovery and what it has done and what it is doing for our children. For those who are using other programs, Id like to encourage you to consider looking into what our ABA brethren have designed through Discovery Bible Club.

Greetings Brethren, I seem to have overcome all my physical ailments with the help of the Lord. Thanks for your prayers.

Attendance averages: Sunday School 44; Sunday Morning Worship 70; Sunday Evening Worship 37; and Wednesday Night Worship 30.

Have been in revival with Wyndrock Missionary Baptist Church of Abilene in September. Wonderful people.

Will come before you in Hillsboro shortly asking for half salary. The mission in Round Rock will take responsibility this year for the 375.00 for insurance. It is our plan to ask for no more than ¼ salary in the next year, but we expect the Lord to bless and allow us to be able to organize this work soon.

The Brethren of Faith salute you and thank you for your support.

Thanks to all of you who are so faithful to support us with your prayers and finances. We appreciate you very much.

During September we had a special treat. Brother Stephen Pace and family visited with us in our service on the 28th. Brother Stephen is a former deacon here at Texas Avenue. He and his family were charter members of this work. Since moving to the Houston area Brother Stephen announced his call to the ministry. He has recently accepted the position of Missionary/Pastor at Twinland Mission. Brother Stephen brought the morning message while they were with us. We appreciate the Pace family and their dedication to the Lord's work.

Again, thanks for your faithfulness. Please continue to pray for us.

Fort Worth

This has been an exciting month for Crossroads. We spent "hours" on our Square Foot Campaign mail-out and 1598 churches across the US should now be considering our request for help in constructing our new building. We’re asking each church to present this to their members and give them the opportunity of purchasing one or more square feet of our building for $45 per sq. ft. It can be done as a church instead of or as well as individually. We understand that most of you are involved in other mission works, but we ask that you prayerfully

consider this small price to help build a strong work in Fort Worth, Tx. Our property is located

in one of the fastest growing areas of North Texas.

We emptied our "change bank" again this month and were able to purchase 2 more square feet. Our kids love it. We are having a concert by the Whole Heart Quartet on Oct. 18th . We’ve put out a lot of publicity on this and are expecting people from the surrounding neighborhoods to come. We’ll use this opportunity to present our Sq. Ft. campaign.

We had Bring a Friend this month and had a great turn-out with several first time visitors. Our newly formed choir did a splendid job with their first choir special. Our "friends" had lots of good things to say about it.

A lot of flyers were handed out and we have a very good prospective family coming as a result. They moved into the new addition across from the church 2 months ago.

We could not have come this far without your prayers and support. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We received a total of $1117 from other churches.

Wills Point

God has blessed us with one adult saved. She will be following the Lord in baptism. The Ladies’ Bible Study has been going on for a year now. A visitor to the church has been attending this study. She wanted to know more about salvation. The ladies went on their knees (this wasn’t easy for some) while Joanne took her aside with the Bible and she was saved. We welcome Sharon Allen to the family of God and shortly as a member of His church.

This has been a busy month. We attended the "sing-along" at Faith MBC in San Antonio and the Mission Valley Association Meeting at Brazos Street MBC in Lockhart. Our revival services were the 22nd thru 24th with Bro. Charles Murphy Sr. as our evangelist. We had a high attendance of 37 and a good spirit of revival. This spirit actually started on Sunday, September 7th with the addition of Anthony and Melody Guptill on the promise of a letter. They have a special daughter, Tilly. Pray for them and for us.

Denton

Greetings from North Lake Baptist Mission. The Lord has saved 20 Hispanics and 4 English speakers in September. We have been door knocking! I have never enjoyed soul winning as much as I have the past few months. I have never seen the hearts of men and women touched as they are being touched here in Denton. We are seeing someone saved almost every time we go out. I don't think I will ever get over this! I hope I don't, anyhow!

Bro. Jesus Rodriguez and I have been spending a lot of our time in the Hispanic community trying to get his work off the ground. As you can see many of them are accepting the Lord as Savior but we still have the job of getting them converted. Please pray for this work. Bro. Rodriguez is doing a great job and I know that it is going to take off soon. He is a great soul winner! Please send him some help if you can. He is worthy. Please pray for his wife. She is very sick.

The engineers are almost ready to submit our plat plan again. This will include our water line design. We still have only one other land owner that will help us, but I am confident that it will work out for the Lord's best interest. Thanks for your prayers in this matter. Also, we haven't run out of bricks yet. We still have several thousand for sale. Please buy a few. We still need funds for the trees that we have to put on our property. I sure would appreciate it if you would buy one or two. They are only about $250.00 each. We are probably going to plant several pecan trees. You can always come by and get you some pecans off your own tree and I'll eat them when you are not here. Thank you very much.

Thanks to those special people that pray for us and that support us with their offerings. May the Lord bless you for your faithful support. You are the Lord's instruments that He is using to build a church in Denton.

AVERAGE ATTENDANCE: Sunday School 26, Morning Worship 26, Sunday evening 10, Wednesday evening 11. We had 9 visitors.
