Several of us have gotten a lot of exercise the last week of this month handing out about 600 flyers for our Friends Day on October 3rd. We’re praying for a good response. A couple from California whom we previously mentioned, contacted us this month and purchased 8 more square feet of our new building. They continue to be very interested in our work. Hopefully the Lord will move them into our area soon. We’ve almost reached a final agreement on the gas lease contract. The company increased the amount of the land lease per acre and also the royalty percentage. Billie and I are so thankful that when we bought our home 3 years ago, God put us across the street from a man who is in the gas lease business. He has donated several hours of his time guiding us through these negotiations. He said he’d "work for food" - that we can handle!
We received a total of $1,305.00 from other churches this month. Thank you and God bless you for your generosity. Thank you for your continued prayers and financial support.

There were three saved from our bus ministry this month. We also had one Mormon college student saved while door knocking and two Hispanics. Praise Him! The water line is still the biggest obstacle. The latest bid we have is $500,000.00. The city is going to put in about $150,000.00. The remaining $350,000.00 is left up to the landowners along this one mile path.
Several of these are builders and need the water but they are waiting on someone else to put it in. If we put the water line in the city will sign an agreement with us that they will collect our money back from these land owners as they hook on. Our cost for our share in front of our property and all lines on the property including three fire hydrants will be about $75,000.00. Our first engineer has told us that the entire line would be about $180,000.00. This figure has drastically changed in the last two years. One reason for this is the high increase for material. The other reason is that we could not get any accurate bids until we had our plans complete. Please pray for this. This property is located in the best place in Denton. It is located one mile off Interstate 35. It is on the corner of Loop 288 and Hwy. 77. These roads are both four lanes. UNT has just recently moved part of the college within 1/8 mile from us. The city has just recently built the largest high school stadium in Denton on loop 288 within two miles of us. The visibility of this property is second to none. If this property was on the back forty I would have already given up on it. I believe this property is worth going through these rough times for. I know we will be able to recuperate our money from these builders. The largest builder has plans in the city right now to develop 250 acres, that adjoins us, in houses. This is just a small thing for our God. We know that there is an answer to this problem. Please keep this in your prayers. May God bless our supporters! This is always a special part of this report. Every soul that is saved, every life that is changed, is because you have been so faithful to help us. We thank you very much for your financial support and your prayers.

We look forward to seeing you all in November. The Lord has been good, as always. We averaged 46 in Sunday School, 71 in Morning Worship, 35 on Sunday evening. The mission gave $400.00 toward mission work; averaged $1,156.29 a week in offerings. These are not the figures we need to go to quarter salary, but we are going to just the same, depending on the Lord instead of the MBA of Texas. Thanks again for all you have done. If you have any questions I can be reached at 512-248-8693. The sponsoring church is Modoc MBC of Athens; Les Rhea, Pastor. May the lord bless you and hope to see you soon.

Praise God for the glorious grace He has given to us through His Son, Jesus Christ. Another soul was saved in Discovery this month and we’re just getting started. Our work continues with great love in our hearts for the lost and a desire to plant a Missionary Baptist work here in Pilot Point. Our sponsoring church, Cedar Creek MBC of Palestine has been such a wonderful blessing with its care and concern for our well being and growth. We can’t truly thank them enough. I have enrolled in the Reach America program with Bro. Prince in Maryland and I am grateful to him and the committee for selecting Pilot Point MBM as a candidate for this project. Please pray for us as we reach out to the community that God would give us the increase we need to move forward with our plans of some day purchasing land and building a facility suitable for worshiping our Great God. Please remember also that we have a note on our church van and we really need your help in paying it off. Pay off is $4,164.55.

Greetings to all of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Thanks for the prayers, as well as the phone calls offering support and encouragement. September was another exciting month for us. We were blessed by a visit from Bro. Reed, Secretary Treasurer/MBA of Texas, and his wife Nancy. They were able to stay with us for our Sunday morning worship service as well as join us for our afternoon Family and Friends Day celebration. I thank Bro. Reed for encouraging our group and for the state missions report. We are excited and encouraged about what God has done and continues to do through our efforts. Please continue to pray with us as we trust God for a more accommodating place of worship. We extend our deepest appreciation to Mission Bend BC, Woodville MBC Ladies Auxiliary, Calvary MBC of Baytown, Unity MBC of Richwood, Florida Avenue Baptist Church of Beaumont and Baker Drive BC of Dickinson for your continued support. Thank you so much for considering our mission.
