"The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he would send forth laborers into his harvest." I trust this is the prayer of each one of you.

As we look forward to our MBA of Texas meeting in November we should be praying diligently for those churches and Missionaries who are coming to the meeting requesting salary support for the coming year. It should be our prayer that each one is really dedicated to the task of winning souls to the Lord and planting New Testament churches.

It is hoped that we will have very good attendance at Nevills Chapel MBC in Mt. Pleasant as the messengers convene to take care of the Lord's business for the coming year. I am excited about the meeting. We need to be good stewards of our time, talent, and money. Let us pray that everything we do will bring honor and glory to God.

If you would like for the Secretary/Treasurer to visit your church, please let me know.

James 2:14-17 AWhat doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.@

Greetings to all of our sister churches of the MBA. It is our sincere hope that our Lord has blessed each of you abundantly and that all is well with your congregation.

We had an exciting and challenging month in September. When we weren't running from hurricanes we were enjoying some of the highest attended services in months. We had over 350, morning and afternoon combined, for our family and friends day celebration. We also welcomed four new members into the Hopewell Family for the month.

We avoided any significant damage, both at home and at the mission, from Hurricane Rita. We thank God for keeping us, as well as our brothers and sisters in other areas that sustained damage to property but no loss of life. I want to thank the Magnolia MBC family for allowing my family and some of our members, twenty in all, to shelter at their church during the storm. We had great fellowship for two days with Pastor Deaton, Sis. Deaton and several of their members. We also enjoyed some terrific food, including the best pot luck soup I've ever tasted. Thank you, Sis. Deaton and thank you, Magnolia MBC. Please pray with us as we pray for all the people still recovering from Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita.

A big thank you to Smyrna Baptist Church and Sublett Road Baptist Church for their recent offerings of $156.00 and $50.00 respectively. We extend our appreciation to Mission Bend BC of Houston, Calvary MBC of Baytown, Unity MBC of Richwood, Florida Avenue BC of Beaumont, and Baker Drive BC of Dickinson for your continued support. Thank you so much for considering our Mission.

Greetings from North Lake Baptist Mission! We had two saved door knocking and three saved in church. Praise the Lord! We have one awaiting baptism.

It looks like we are finally getting our grading permit. We should have it in one week from now. We have sure been waiting on this moment. Bro. Mike Prince is bringing an operating crew out here the last week in October and we are going to move some dirt. Praise the Lord!

I was informed by my sponsoring church that they were going to make the final payment on our land the fifteenth of this month from their general fund. Praise the Lord! We are now looking to start building soon. Please help if you can.

Please continue to pray for the Hubble twins. They are doing great. They are both off ventilation but are still on nasal oxygen.

I want to thank our supporters. Your support is what makes it possible for these souls to be saved. Mission work is a joint effort and you are very much a part of that. Thanks for allowing God to use you in Denton, Texas.

The Lord gives and the Lord takes away - but He is always gracious and blesses. Our oldest member, Bro. Ben Blanton, went home to be with His Lord this month. He is greatly missed by our church family. Another member, Orlene Coscia, has been with us three years and is now moving to Wyoming to be close to family. She has been an inspiration to us - especially to our ladies.

But, at the same time, He gives the increase. Scott, Kim and Cory Irwin joined by letter from a church in Buchanan, MI. Just two weeks after they joined, Cory left for a job in Wyoming, but he will be coming back to work with us soon, we hope. This family has been a great blessing to us.

Visitor and prospect attendance has not yet climbed back where it was before our streets were torn up, but we are having some new visitors now. Our ladies are having a prayer walk in the surrounding communities each week and others are knocking doors. Continue to pray that the Lord will open the doors and bring the people in.

We received $1,309.00 from other churches. Thanks to you who faithfully support us in prayers and offerings.
