September was another good month for Emmanuel MBM of Sugar Land. We had visitors in three of the four Morning Worship services. We now have visitors that are bringing visitors. What a blessing this is! We are beginning to see response to the visitation that we are doing. We continue to work with the ladies from the beauty salon that is down from us. We are earnestly praying that some of the visitors will soon become members by baptism.

Our sponsoring church has begun searching for a church to co-sponsor with them. Any that would be interested can please call either myself at 832-486-9330 or Pastor Steven Pace at
281-324-1969. This remains a field white unto harvest.

We are continuing to work toward installation of our permanent sign. This will cost us about $4,500.00. Any offerings toward that would be greatly appreciated.

I will be attending the South Texas Association Messenger Meeting this month. At this meeting, I will have a display that shows much of what we are doing in Sugar Land. Thank all of you for your continued prayers.

We are watching a slow growth at Northgate and a new convert’s class has been added this month. It was a privilege to speak at Crossroads MBC in Hughes Springs and tell them about the work in Irving. What an encouragement to see what God is doing there.

We are trying different approaches to reach people and have made several promising contacts through door to door evangelism this month. The children’s choir presented their program, “Down By The Creekbank” this month. Continue to pray for the families of the children.

In the midst of God’s activities there have also been struggles. Our roof began leaking and the air conditioner broke down beyond repair. These unforeseen circumstances have caused a financial burden. Pray as we continue to try to minister to people of many cultures in this area.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
In the matchless name of our Lord Jesus Christ, I send greetings to all of our brothers and sisters in Christ. The mission took in 9 new members for the month with 3 of those being candidates for baptism. Hallelujah!

We held our 3rd annual Family and Friend’s day services the second Sunday Morning of the month. We had 240 in attendance and many more that left because there wasn't any more room. This was an excellent opportunity to present Christ to some of our unchurched friends. Three souls accepted Christ and we had a number of rededications. I pray that everyone that needed to hear the gospel was able to get into our services that morning. I also pray that we will not ever have to turn another soul away because there's not enough room.

We hope to close soon on the new property. The judge has signed the foreclosure paperwork and all inspections of the building are complete. Financing has been secured and we are just waiting to receive a closing date from the title company. We are excited and know that this facility will help the mission in reaching many more lost souls for Christ. The major concern for us was the roof of the building. We had a company come in and inspect it and give us a quote for repairs. It appears that we will be able to get the roof repaired for less than $5,000. There are a number of other repairs that will need addressing but nothing major. We will need to expand the parking lot almost immediately and we aren't quite sure what we will do about a fellowship hall. A Missionary Baptist Church without a place to eat... help!

September has been somewhat of a challenging month for me. I have been working nearly the entire month without a day off and at least 12 hours each day/night. I have managed to preach each Sunday morning and all but one Wednesday night. Unfortunately, I have had to turn down some offers to come and preach or participate in some services. Being bi-vocational isn't easy and it is especially difficult when one has the type of job that I have. It is our desire and prayer to be laboring full time as a pastor one day. Until then, I ask that you remember our situation and the number of request that I am beginning to receive. Thanks.

Thanks to those who contribute regularly, as well as give one-time donations. Please continue to partner with us prayerfully and financially as we endeavor to reach our new goal of $100K. The Lord provides. As always, I am grateful to Mission Bend BC of Houston, Calvary MBC of Baytown, Florida Avenue BC of Beaumont and Baker Drive BC of Dickinson for your continued support. Without you, and others like you, without the monetary gifts and prayers for this Mission, we could not do the work that we do for Christ. I say this with much love and an abundance of blessings.

We had twelve professions of faith this month door knocking. Seven Hispanics and five English speakers. One of the Hispanic men that was saved had moved here from George West, TX. I have a sister in George West and after talking to them a while I learned that his wife’s uncle had married by niece. What a small world we live in! They came to church Wednesday night. She wants to come to the English services and he wants to attend the Hispanic services. They have two children that only speak English but they are all Hispanic. We are still waiting to start the jail ministry. We have completed our class. I think we will get started soon,

Dear Sister Churches - We are still in need of a sponsoring church. The Texas State Association meets in November and we need to have something in place before then. Is there a great mission-
minded church out there that wants to take on this project for the Lord? If your church might be interested in this please give me a call at 940-482-5929 or 940-453-2189.Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for all your support and prayers. May the Lord bless your labors for Him.

September was a good month for Vanderbilt. The Lord blessed us with good spiritual services. There was much conviction manifested in our services. We had one saved at home this month and she will be coming for baptism in the near future. There are others showing interest in our church.

Our averages increased in Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services. Our attendance has increased more on Wednesday evening since the Discovery Club started meeting again. Our children are bringing their friends to church to learn about God’s Word.

We enjoyed a good Tri County Associational meeting at Modoc MBC in Athens in September.
They were gracious hosts. I thank you for your prayers for Vanderbilt. We are expecting to have a better report for the month of October.

Greetings from Meadowbrook. September was a busy month here. We lost our song leader and our pianist. Now we are back to singing with taped music. We know God has someone out there. We will just have to be patient. Sometimes it seems so hard. We tend to want everything right now but all things will be accomplished in God’s time. Please pray that our Lord will continue to bless this wonderful church as we continue to go forward

We are overwhelmed how the Lord continues to bless the work in Grapevine. We have experienced a very powerful month as the mission continues to reach out into the community and the world with the gospel message.

We are preparing our small group ministry with training and preparation. Our Small Group Ministry is primary to our outreach into the community. Please contact us if you have any
questions about small groups.

We had four attend a Medical Mission International Mission trip to Tanzania. The trip was a wonderful blessing. We are deep in prayer for those who accepted Christ.

We celebrated our Vacation Bible School with a large dinner. We had a few visitors join the dinner. It was a wonderful blessing. We have started our plans for VBS next year.

The effort to acquire the property in Grapevine continues. We have ordered an appraisal on the property. This will provide an insight into the actual value of the land. Please keep this in your prayers. The facility will require a full remodel. The property costs about $500,000.00.

We are continuing our church vision discussions. This will allow us to unify our efforts to reach people for Christ in our community. This process has been extremely powerful as the Lord directs our efforts. YOU CAN HELP THE WORK IN GRAPEVINE. We are reaching new families every week and we strongly believe God has something big in store. Please keep Cornerstone in your prayers.

At this time we are available to share the work with your church. Our biggest need is prayer as we seek a new meeting location and building funds. Please consider adding the Grapevine Mission to your prayer list. We need and appreciate your prayers.

We are not doing all we should be doing but we have some people working hard and faithfully. The Lord continues to bless. Approximately 55 people attend with some frequency. They just don’t all attend at the same time. Visitors continue to come. There were 4 “first-timers” the last Sunday of the month.

The children’s Bible Clubs are generating excitement and they are enthusiastic in learning scripture. Eighteen to twenty two are attending on Sunday evening and Wednesday evening. This number includes the workers.

Our building committee will meet with Bro. Bob Branca the first week of October. He is an architectural engineer and collaborates with an HVAC engineer and another engineer. He is a member of Sublett Road BC. Bro. Marion Reed got us in touch with him. Our bank, plus two others, have contacted us to discuss financing. Our present financial status may not qualify us to acquire quite enough to finish as much as we wish but we have promise of another financing source.

We will not be coming to the State Association recommended for salary this year. Twelve years should be enough but we still need some help for salary. We would appreciate you considering a recommendation for designated funds from the MBA of Texas. Three churches have talked to us about increasing their offerings to us and applying them to salary. Already three others have invited me to present our need to them. We are not quite ready to organize but getting there.

I have reason to be very grateful to Missionary Baptist Churches across the state and I guarantee that I am. I am also emphasizing to the people of Crossroads that they should, also. Thank you so very much from a grateful mind.
